High Prolactin?

Hi,

Recently had some blood taken in preparation for an Andromass cycle. It is the first cycle I've ever done. My prior supplementation includes protein powders, creatine, 1-2 natural test boosters, DAA. In the past 12 months though I've only had protein and creatine.

I'm still waiting to see the doctor who is managing the cycle for me, but I was anxious to get my results, so I went to another GP to get them. He didn't know the relevance in prolactin levels so he told me to wait until I see the other doctor. Anyway, the range for prolactin says < 500, while mine was about 900. Any ideas why this is so freaking high? I've started the AM, dont really want to bail out of it because of this, but am not going to see the doc for 2 weeks.

Is it a concern and why would it be high?

really? I only used it for 4 weeks about 1 year ago :/

that is true, a year is a long time....sounds strange that it would be the DAA then....but who knows? not sure how long it would stay elevated if you don't address it. usually people notice some sensitivity or growth in their nipples then take something for the prolactin. maybe yours has been elevated for some time now......

I am assuming it has been elevated for a while, yeah. Unfortunately I have never had hormonal tests done before so I can't compare. Do you think there is any concern for the raised level for health? And further on that, should it be a concern while taking AM? I'm considering trying to buy something to address it, but I think I may wait until I see the doctor in 2 weeks to get his input on it.

Do you know if "< 500" is a standard range for MALES? My understanding is that this is a female hormone, and I thought maybe the range they used was a female range, but perhaps its normally high in men anyway?

I think the normal levels for men and women are similar. its supposed to be under that figure, 500. I am taking some supps intended to lower prolactin right now, but yeah....ask your doctor first, hell he might prescribe you some nice pharmaceuticals to lower it :D....900 is pretty high, I think 1,000 and over is not good.

what do you achieve from having low prolactin?

well it would have a pro-sexual effect for one, but most people want to lower it/counteract it being elevated due to using some test boosters/PH's or AAS that elevate it (such as tren or deca or tren/deca like PH's)....many use bromocriptine or dostinex to keep the prolactin sides at bay. or natural supps like 1-carboxy or L-dopa standardized herbals or P-5-P.

Ah, I see. What are the risks of high prolactin? Gyno?

Any reports that AM raises prolactin?

yeah mostly gyno, but I doubt the AM would raise prolactin? it has a DHT component and a 4Dhea component to it IF we are talking v3.....As far as I know those two wouldn't raise prolactin. but I'm not 100% sure on the 4dhea, maybe a PP rep might know more.

Macuna might help

that is the l-dopa I was speaking of, 15% mucuna (velvet bean) extract equivalent to 120mg l-dopa,....but he might get a prescription for bromo or dostinex if his level is high enough to "satisfy" the doctor. so he may not need to mess with that.

i am considering bailing out of this AM cycle until I address the prolactin issue with my doctor. I've only been on for 10 days, is there any PCT concern, do I need to run anything?
