I feel you here. It was just my Bday weekend and I'm feeling like sh1t after drinking, eating and not sleeping properly for 3 days. Time to get back on track!

Good luck to you man. I'm on overdrive today just watching my diet like crazy and anxious to get to the gym. I'm going to try and emphasize cardio this week. Happy birthday and I'm sure it was worth it.

Day 18....I wanted to emphasize cardio this week so I started with a heavy cardio session. It felt good, sweat like crazy and heart rate stayed high. Even though it was a tough cardio session I still got a great chest workout in. Im sure it messed with some of my strength but my lifts were still good. Achieved a good pump and my vascularity was nice and pronounced. Can't wait to drop these extra few pounds I put on so I can see some new cuts and vascularity. Great diet day too.

35 min intense/moderate cardio

I finally got a good day of dieting in and I hope I can continue. I was down to 197 last week and though I was looking good, yesterday I weighed 206.6 pounds and today after my gym session I was weighting 204.2 pounds. Here are my macros:

Day 19....finally getting back into the swing of things. Diet has been much cleaner and I'm feeling better. Im hoping I can get my abs back within the next week. They are still there but no where near as cut as they were. Decided to hit two sessions up today due to a busy schedule. Here it goes.

First session: abs and cardio

30 min weighted abs

Second session: back and cardio

Day 20....still doing good. Wish I wouldn't have had so many days of binge eating. I was making great progress and now I'm just trying to catch up to where I was. It's cool I'll get there soon enough. Another good diet day under my belt and was able
To get good cardio in. Started with cardio today and didn't feel like I lost any energy for my lifts. I'm no longer getting the tingly feeling over my body when taking MM but it is still working. I wonder what it would be like at 2 scoops, I'm thinking my body is getting used to just 1 scoop. Maybe I'll try the two scoops before my jug off mm is finished but running out of time.

I use the MM only on workout days on an average of 6 days a week. I'm not sure if I'm used to it or not bc I still have great energy off of it, I just don't get get tingly feeling through my body any more. I will say I am usually hungry in the afternoons after my workouts and before bed but I haven't really been experiencing that as much while on this stack. Maybe the stims do play a part in that since I take the stack in the afternoon everyday.

Yeah I'm not sure about what 2 scoops would be like. I'm down to only a couple scoops so maybe I'll try it out. Not sure though.

When I usually use heavy stims an after a work out I'm never hungry. So I asked out of curiosity. :)

I never thought about the effects of stims on my appetite. I never pay close attention to my appetite, I just try and control the cravings for cookies lol

Day 22... Long day at work and a tight schedule forced me to have a short workout. I banged out zero cardio but was able to complete an aggressive 50 minute leg day in. I feel good and my diet has been good all day up to now. I'm at about 60 carbs and 260g of protein with at least 2 meals left. May have a downfall tonight. I have plans for dinner and drinks so as long as I get back on track tomorrow, I'll be good.

Day 23...today is going to be a Rest day. I drank last Night, went to bed at 4am and was awake at 630 am bc I had to work at 7am. I am tired and had plans to do cardio but I may skip it and get some sleep. I will also be eating high carbs today bc my stomach and body needs it. Here is a random progress pic to show how I am doing. Last week I had fallen so far behind I had no real defined ab cuts but that was prob just heavy bloating. I feel like my biceps are looking better too. Hoping to get a good final week in for this stack.

Thanks man. Yea I'm skipping the MM since I'm not lifting and that should give me enough MM left to finish out my MM.

How long ago was that?
Details man!

Ahh. That photo was taken sometime in 2009 probably. I was about 260 pounds there. Around 2008 I was about 285 and I'm only 5'8". That pic was taken after losing some weight, I was running like 5-7 miles a day 5-6 days a week but had 0 clue about a bodybuilding diet. Around that same time a co worker gave me some old muscle mags and I never looked back. I got down to as low as 235 or so in like 2009 but soon after got back to 265. But I didn't start really getting into body building until around march of 2010. I started eating clean carbs, lifting hard, and tons of protein. My body was changing but I wasn't getting ripped how I wanted. I was still around 255 or so. It wasn't until I met a new coworker who uses to compete and he emailed me a Skip LaCour article on natural body building and dieting. I learned about good fats and it's the first time I heard of pretty much not eating carbs besides my veggies. I literally went from looking big and sloppy to having a "shadow" of abs about 12 weeks later. Just eating 1.5-2g of protein per body pound and 0 carbs. I go back and forth with dieting and just getting fat but that skip LaCour article changed my entire idea of dieting. I just kept learning from there and reading up on body building. I did all this with no supplements. Well I used the basic creatine monohydrate and protein powder. This DPOL and MM can be considered the "hardest" supplements I have ever taken. That's pretty much it man. I lift 6 days a week and go 185% in the gym every time I go.

So you're saying the zero carb diet is what did it?
Vegetables and protein was what go you to where you needed to be?

U stated that cutting the carbs and using good fats like p butter helped you out more?
You said even eating clean (carbs) and lifting you were not seeing good results?
You're protein did not have carbs?

Hoe manus carbs were you doing a day minus veggies lol....
Any cheat days?

I feel like u, I'm eaten and using the clean carbs and see a change but I'm not leaning much. :(

i did the same when i went on my cut. cut all my carbs for 2 months, im talkin about 20g or less and shed 20lbs of pure fat, kept it goin and added some more carbs like beans and a slice of wheat bread a day. what also helped was the high fiber tortilla bread i bought. 15g carbs and 11g fiber so 4g carb total. lost 60lbs total in 6-7months and went down 7 sizes in pants. everyone thought i had cancer or somethin lol the no-low carb thing works like magic and havent gained waist size at all since and i got back to my regular diet of bad foods

Yeah the 0 carbs is great. People don't like it bc of lack of energy and some people dont like the loss in muscle mass. I make my protein high so I keep my muscle and my body is used to low carbs so lack of energy is not a problem. I actually get a high from eating carbs if I go awhile with low carbs. I call it my carb high.

I feel like u, I'm eaten and using the clean carbs and see a change but I'm not leaning much. :(

The key for me was the 0 carbs. All my carbs come from veggies or peanut butter. My egg whites, turkey, beef, chicken, and shakes have 0 carbs or very low carbs. I don't eat oatmeal, wheat bread, fruit. It's all meat and veggies. Occasional fiber supplements get my carb intake higher too. But this is when I diet "perfect". I also try to do one cheat meal every 4 days and sometimes those turn into cheat days. But when I actually follow this 0 carb diet (besides veggies and what's in my protein sources) I drop weight fast and cut fast. Downside side is if I go on a eating binge I gain 10 pounds in a week.

Damn no/low carbs seems difficult lol.
Were you still doing heavy weights or lighter weights?
Still doing a lot of cardio back then?
I guess if you're doing low carbs you probably want under 100g for the day maybe under 50g correct?
I looked at a macro calculator but it stated 25% of total macros for low carbs.....

How many carbs did your shakes usually have?

My shakes are 4.5g of carbs per 40g of protein. I still do heavy weights. I try to go as heavy as I can and still get reps as high as 20 and as low as
6. I am not as strong as I was when I was 260 or 285 but I can still push heavy weight for reps. Whenever I am doing my low carb diet I keep my carbs around 30g-60g. But these are truly just from the veggies and shakes. I also do cardio every workout if I can, at minimum 20 min a workout but all depends on how much time I have. And I was doing a lot of cardio when I went from "flab to abs" lol. I was doing at least 45 min- an hour a day, 6 days a week. I don't do that much now and I see good results. I was overdoing it back then but it worked.

Low carb for 2000 Cals diet is 25% which would be 125g carbs the rest is protein and fats...

You were in keto which is 50g or less.
I'm try and stick under 125g carbs a day and see...

That eliminates milk cheese all that...
Good fats from where nuts and p butter, these seems like a meat only diet shít.

Lol yeah it pretty much is all meat shakes and veggies. Good fats I use are almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, olive oil, and peanut butter. But mainly peanut butter. The PB is pretty much my cheat treat, I'll eat a spoon full with some honey and enjoy it like crazy. Under 125 I'm sure will def work. One experimented with my body and those super low carbs just work for me. I still have a lot
Of learning to do. I eventually want to try a clean bulk so it's going to take me some time to learn how to use my carbs effectively and how my body reacts to it. But I have some ideas for whenever I decide to do that.

I was eating 250-300g of carbs a day, breads snacks, sweet poatos all that...
Think if I cut that in half itll make a difference?

AaronJP1 said:

Yeah I think it can only help. Prob cutting out the snacks will make the biggest difference. I would just make sure when u drop your carbs you are keeping your protein up so you don't lose any muscle mass. I would figure your body would kick into overdrive the first couple days or weeks with lower carbs, until it gets used to it. That's a lot of carbs man, I would blow up on that many carbs.

I guess I have some what good genetics lmao!!
Even with that many I'm not lean and it's hindering me.
A lot of "reads" suggest carbs to build muscle and doing a 40/30/30 diet a balanced ratio of everything and almost everything has carbs.
Even my protein had 15g carbs per 22g of protein :(.
Switch to myofusion that only has 5g carbs for 22g protein....

How do u feel about GDAs?

GDA's...I never even heard of them. I still have so much to learn lol. I googled it quick and there are tons of info on it. I like the idea of it as far as helping with getting rid of the glucose in the muscles but I don't know enough about it to comment. I will def research it when I get a chance. As far as the carbs for muscle growth, I def agree it is a very important source for muscle growth and life but I I could not imagine doing a 40/30/30 and staying lean. I'll def try it for when I bulk. Yeah that 15 g of carbs is def high

Right...
GDAs are like slin shot, glycobol, slin sane, recompadrol.

I may switch to 5g in myofusion....
I think 90% of powders have a good amount of carbs in them. What brand do you use?

I actually buy Body Fortress whey protein from Walmart. It's only $14 and change for 2 pounds and it has the best calorie, fat, carb, protein ratio from stuff I've tried. Oh and it taste great IMO. Here are the nutrition facts for 1 scoop of vanilla.

Yeah for about 2 weeks I had a lack of energy bc i used to devour carbs and going to almost no carbs hurt.

I def got used to it and i have no energy issues. In theory it's nothing but meat and veggies but as I write this I have a half gallon tub of strawberry cheesecake ice cream on my lap.
