Suppliments and gas?

Lately I've been having what I thought was pain brought on by pleurisy. However, I've started noticing the pain is more in my xiphoid processes. I've had a bit of gas lately. I wasn't home the other day and missed my supplements and the pain went away for a day. I'm currently on the following supplements:

Megaman Sport Vitapak with Burn 60
Milk Thistle 1000mg 2x a day
Hawthorn Berry 300mg 2x a day
Resveratrol
Taurine 500 mg 2x a day
Clomidex (Bottle recommended dosage)
Formadrol (Bottle Recommended dosage)
Amplified Wheybolic 60 45g a day at breakfast
I'm also on nutrisystem which on average supplies me with around 50g of protein from the meals. They all seem to be high in protein.

I came off a cycle of havoc about 2 weeks ago and I'm on cloidex and formadrol for pct.

Any idea which one of these could be causing the gas? I'm wondering if it could be the vitapak. Maybe I'm getting too many vitamins?

I get that too, the gas puts pressure on your heart and that area and you think WTF is wrong with my heart? but its just pressure from the gas giving you some sharp pains in the heart area or causing palpitations.....I eventually figured out gas was the culprit, and started taking gas-x after I eat much of the time. I'm not sure what else can be done to avoid it, I'm sure foods and supplements are the cause of course...but you can't stop eating or supplementing so you just have to deal with it and use some sort of remedy like gas pills. If this is the same type of pain/discomfort you are having its scary when you are not sure what it is.

i would get that sometimes too.. eating more alkaline foods definitely helped.. also a couple table spoons of apple cider vinegar can help give you relief...enzyme and probiotic supplements are good for it too. see acid reflux

its not fun when it happens....I always get lazy with the probiotic, I'll take it for a few months and then don't re-up on it....and I know I eat some foods I should not, but I'm the type that wants to eat what I want and then I just take something for the gas or reflux (tums/gas-x). the tums are like my calcium supp at this point :D. I need to get a double large size probiotic next time so it forces me to take it for an extended period.

Pleurisy is not really gas. It is basically a small pleural effusion. Can be very painful and may need to be tapped if gets over say 75 ccs or so. Could be viral or bacterial. Could be other causes. Is something suppressing your immune system? I would check that and have you had any illnesses lately? Is this recurring? What side? Any heart valve issues on right side of heart? Any history of congestive heart failure or heart diliation? Steroids could possibly cause and might consider am ultrasound to check valves and chamber sizes if not get better.

I have stomach issues that supplements can easily upset(If I take pills before bed now, I will wake up in the morning with burning pain like no other). Daily greek yogurt + a spoon of that apple cider vinegar(Braggs) does wonders. I highly recommend mixing the vinegar with something or eating with it. It can be rough itself on the stomach going down.

Every once in awhile my stomach goes crazy and I have to drink Malox for a few weeks until its good again. This usually only happens if I get off of a good diet and start drinking crap like energy drinks too much. Otherwise its 100% avoidable.

Technically my stomach issue is still a "mystery". ER at one point said it could be an ulcer, but I am unsure of that.

So I feel you man.

One thing doctors can never seem to diagnose are stomach issues. Its frustrating when you have an issue and its painful and they don't know WTF is wrong with you or how to fix it.

they confused my CHF with pleurisy when I first arrived at the hospital. They figured it out eventually.....

Lazy ER docs are prone to call lots of stuff pluerisy. They may snap an Xray check cardiac enzymes to rule out heart attack and if stable diagnosis pleurisy and send home. Most of the time it resolves. Really need a CT scan with contrast to see with any detail.

I hear you on that. Luckily they kept me around for a while and once they saw the images from the echo, it was obvious that it was an enlargement of the heart, and then at least you have something you can address with treatment and meds....but the idiots STILL sent me home w/o prescribing a beta blocker/coreg and my general practitioner doctor I was assigned put me on coreg and that helped me out. But the cardiologists just put me on coumadin and lasix to dry me out...which helped but slowing my heart rate was of the utmost importance....fools....

Nobody has mentioned the crap PCT he's doing yet.... Ohy..

Same exact thing was happening to me withe the gas at first i thought i was gunna have a heart attack lol but started taking gas-x helped a lot

i know for what ever reason my multi + fish oil on an empty stomach makes me burp at least once in teh first hour or two.

Otherwise i feel almost pukey.. so weird..

I now take the fish oil before bed with food....so if there is any burping up I won't "be there" to know about it LOL the multi I also wait in the morning to take it with food or protein powder. I split the supps into empty stomach and with protein/food.

the onyl reason i take them in the morning is becuase any time i wait until the end of the day i usually forget to do it.

The burp or two isnt bad and the fish oil capsles are susposedly strawberry flavored. not quite sure about that but at least they are not fishy

I'm at about a 99% success rate by now at remembering the nighttime supplements. I take enough stuff I need to take at that time that I remember. But yeah, many people will forget much of the time.

by the time I get home eat - play with my daughter and put her to bed i am spent. good luck remembering to make lunch for tomorrow - let alone take a vit :)

put the vitamin next to your toothbrush.. hope you aren't forgetting to brush your teeth.. or put them on your pillow.. you're not gonna rest your head on them

LOL sometimes extreme measure are necessary right? I put the supps by my fiber and my prescription....I know I need to take those daily no matter what...also its in the kitchen, and I'm usually in there looking to do something I am not supposed to be doing late night ....like eating some snack :D

To my knowledge I don't have any illnesses or heart conditions. I've had pleurisy in the past. That's the only reason I thought it was that at first. It's good to know I'm not alone on this. I was really starting to think something may have been more wrong.

As far as PCT I was advised on here that I should be fine with my current PCT. They said havoc isn't that strong of a ph. Also, I'm not really prone to gyno. I've actually lost most of the gyno I had once I went on PCT. lol. This isn't the section for that though.

Thanks for all the replies. Puts me more at ease. I'll def get some probiotics and some TUMS.

I've got a hardon for PCT because I want to be able to get hardons naturally for the rest of my life, not have a set of titties on my chest, and make babies when the time comes!
