Truth - don't mean to hijack your log, however wanted to throw this out since you're back on the leaning-out wagon. This is day 7 for me stacking Urso (3x3) with Compound-20 (1x4) and I'm experiencing some *serious* leaning effects, plus much harder and more dense. Anecdotal, of course, however I'm starting to believe this might be a really, really good natty stack.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am mentally preparing for the next two months....I am totally going to kill it or die trying. I will try to post up my new pudgy pics for inspiration this evening. Today is leg day. A good day to re dedicate my workout are going to start out slow this week but by next week it will be brutality.

Observations: Yesterday was my day off the post is for Fridays work out nutrition for yesterday was pretty much exactly the same as Friday. Good workout: back and bi's both pumped though still bothered byt that odd injury, not bothered as badly. I am not easing into quite as slowly as I should but at the same time I am being very guarded and trying to to cause myself further injury. I have an idea of what I want to look like by the Time the Arnold gets here and that is my focus. It is difficult reining in my eating after all the indulgence of the last few days. I got rid of all my junk food this weekend and bout a bunch of healthy stuff. I have the Ursobolic flowing through my veins again and I am dedicated to becoming the Big Scarey Truth by March.

I should say fatter, not fat, if you look back in this log to my pic of 1995 that was fat, No I am just angry that I added the saddle bags and completely lost all my definition over the course of a month, when it is so hard to get it back. .......oh and I am usually smiling just not in my pics need to keep my hardcore image LOL

Your pics definitely show that diet and exercise can make transformations. A you are no where near your pics from a time ago you have gained a bit of weight. No worry! You will bounce back in NO TIME!

Indeed sir, workout tonight was again more intense than intended will post later. Feel the appetite suppression from the ursobolic already. Looking at my latest pics I guess not to bad since I haven't been able to work out properly for over two months and one month of unrestrained candy eating, only my abs and shoulders deserted me. My chest and especially my guns seem to have loyally stood by me :)
 
I thought folks would be lining up to make fun of those pics. I was blubbery, I can't stand to look at them. Sad thing is 3 years prior I was in great shape abs and all, fell far and fast

Totally honest answer....I am the Truth after all.....Severe depression....deep dark suicidal depression. Food was my escape, I was married to a woman I despised but did not want to lose the daughter I loved more than life. I thought about killing myself, but knew that would wreak havoc on my daughter and the rest of my family. So I used food as an escape from my life. I was working 6 days a week sometimes 12-14 hrs a day. I would eat two twelve inch meatball subs at lunch, I drank sometimes a gallon of Coca Cola a day I went through a case of corn chips and a cafeteria size can of nacho sauce every week. Its a miracle I wasn't larger. I was getting ready to go on a business trip and had to buy new pants, when I held up the trousers that now fit and looked at the width of them I thought to myself no f'in way am I going to be this big. I went on Atkins and lost 100 pounds in two months. I worked out tried to focus my depression into my workouts and it worked. Working out saved my life. I still suffer from depression. I used to be medicated for it and hated the flat feeling almost as much as depression. Now I use body building. Its the greatest cure for depression in the world I still get depressed but after a hard work out and a glance in the mirror of the results, life just isn't that bad. I know that was more of an answer than you were looking for, but hopefully it may help some one that has similar feelings. Regarding the suicidal thoughts remember this, there is nothing so bad that suicide is the solution, it is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. There is absolutely nothing in life so horrible that we cannot overcome it...and that is the truth.

Great to hear that you are doing better. When I get depressed I actually have absolutely NO appetite so it is interesting how everyone responds differently to stress/depression. You have the body type I hope to have one day I like how you post your diet thanks for all the info I will be following.

I am there with you truth. I have dipped pretty low as well. Food has always been my escape. Bodybuilding saved my life as well. Went from a size 46 to a 34. Finally taking some time to build muscle now but I'll be lean soon enough. :)

Observations:
Elbows still hurt, going to take it slow and be careful still for a bit. I could have easily done heavier dumb bells but am going to be cautious for a bit longer. I got a good chest and tricep pump so I am counting this as a successfull workout. My diet being good again is making me feel better. Amazing how eating crap makes you feel like crap. Legs today but its light legs so we'll see how it goes.

Observation:

Here is my major observation of today. There are a lot of inconsiderate A-holes out there. The work out you see about albeit a good one. I can barely walk my legs are so fried, I can only imagine what they will feel like tomorrow(that kind of pain I relish) The gym was filled with inconsiderate bastards this evening. It seemed every station I wished to use was occupied by someone that was barely using it. In particular the squat rack. Occupied by a young man that leaned on it more than using it. He was using it for curls, light ones, there are numerous pre loaded curl bars in the light weight range he was using yet even after I asked if I could use it he insisted he was. He used it in a crowded gym on a Monday for 45 minutes. Oh well common courtesy is non existent. I had to formulate an alternate plan. I much prefer squats to hacks but hey we do what we must.

On another note I'll be so glad when my Ursobolic kicks in...I've gained three pounds since Monday WTF!! I now weigh a few ounces shy of 219 lbs, heaviest in a while....quite a while. Two months hopefully I can hang onto the weight and lose the fat I have two months until the Arnold. Operation Drastic Change is in full effect.

Hmm... maybe you are getting some recomp? that workout looked hella mean. Noticed you added in oats in the breakfast meal. Do you usually have a bit more carbs (though you subtracted one whole egg) on leg day? I don't think I noticed it before.

Unfortunately this was a regular. I hope there is some recomp, I feel a lot stronger but then I always do when I gain weight. My legs especially have grown and feel stronger than before I know they are bigger cuz' even my loose jeans are tight in the thigh. As far as the carbs, I am trying to keep my metabolism high while I lose, so sometimes I add some carbs in the AM I figure that is the best time of day and what better day than leg day?

Observations: Best back work out in a while. Added the t-bars back in but lighter and I changed my hand position as the one that I usually used caused the injury to flare up. Over all a basically pain free workout and I did things I haven't been able to since my injury. It makes me hopeful. I still cannot do curls as it does aggravate the rear of my arm. I am figuring if it hurts don't do it. As an aside, I have been icing the rear of my arm and it does seem to be helping. Overall I am feeling like my old self, I am getting a little definition back. Glad to be back on the Ursobolic.....Where is everybody? The boards have been dead the last few days

I'll tell you what, why is it when people know you are dieting or at least trying to eat healthy they tempt you with all kinds of stuff. There was an entire desktop covered in panera bread pastries and I had to resist....but I did not want to, wanted to wade in and pig out :))

No one I work with works out much if any. I am pretty much a phenom at my work(that's not saying a lot
). People are always asking me to make diet programs and workout programs, I used to spend hours doing it and then no one ever followed them so now I don't bother, sad... I like doing, it but it just turned out to big waste

Most my friends understand that I do what I do because I love it. Not here though... temptation is everywhere and most of my co-workers (Japanese) cannot understand why I do what I do at all. I am always asked "Why do you need that much muscle?". I just tell them i'm strange. Dont' wanna be mean and ask them "Why do you need that much fat?" that's why.... hehe.

EXACTLY!! My favorite line is this "I could look like that if I wanted to." Really you'd rather have the beer belly. Lets be honest folks. Matt, I've I seen video of you working out and I know how I work out and there is no doubt that there is a healthy dose of pain involved. Then add the self denial that the dieting involves and I think it is a little more involved than "if I wanted to" though there is some "Truth" in that......you have to REALLY WANT TO!! I promise you my want and dedication will be evident and March 2nd at the Arnold Classic

Observations: People were again in my way today. Took awhile to get my workout rolling, but once I did I went well. Felt very strong. Testing my injury and my limits. Felt only the occasional twinge. Blew up like a beast. Killer pump, Urso seems to increase my pump substantially, perhaps by shuttling carbs to the muscles. I can almost feel myself getting bigger. I feel like the Truth is back. I hope the injury lays low and lets me get ready to make a good showing in March. Fingers Crossed :)
 
may I ask how you came to find this diet works for you and how you came about designing it? I am having a hard time designing a cutting diet for myself.. Did you set a specific goal for your macros and then split up the meals to your personal preferences? or just sort of guessed and saw how it changed your body?

Observations: The cherries seemed to have worked. My elbows feel pretty good today cherries and joint force seem to be a killer combo for joint pain. My elbows usually kill me after chest shoulders and tris. Pretty much pain free today. My body has changed in less than two weeks. Feeling bigger especially my thighs and arms pants and shirt sleeves both uncomfortably tight...Anyone wanna contribute on a new wardrobe for the Truth??? I'm not complaining its a good problem to have. Again the Ursobolic seems to already be exhibiting effects much faster than last time. definition returning to abs, will most likely post pics next weekend, want to give enough time to see definite differences. Do I allow myself a cheat meal this week end. My GF says no the Truth says definitely Maybe!

My elbows usually kill me after chest shoulders and tris. Pretty much pain free today. My body has changed in less than two weeks. Feeling bigger especially my thighs and arms pants and shirt sleeves both uncomfortably tight...Anyone wanna contribute on a new wardrobe for the Truth??? I'm not complaining its a good problem to have. Again the Ursobolic seems to already be exhibiting effects much faster than last time. definition returning to abs, will most likely post pics next weekend, want to give enough time to see definite differences. Do I allow myself a cheat meal this week end. My GF says no the Truth says definitely Maybe!

Observations:

Totally smoking workout, strength and endurance are both up. Have never been able to get 315 for 12, and got it relatively easily still in the not trying to hurt myself mode while trying to push, that being said I pushed pretty hard. Was very nearly unable to walk out of the gym. Energy was good attitude was good Great workout.

Observations:

This workout was hampered by external stress. I was expecting a very important phone call and I had forgotten my phone. I was very stressed but I did not want to go with out working out. I did my normal work out in 2/3's of the time. It was exhausting and I was so pumped. I think I will on purpose from here on in reduce my time between sets it really cranked up the intensity. A good workout despite the stress.

Observations:

Nice relaxing evening, did laundry went to Walmart, saw the Walmart people baked homeade bread and ate stew. It was a good day for a Monday. Feeling strong and my injuries are healing, still not 100% but getting better

Observations:

Best workout in a long time. Had an incredible pump even after only my incline bench. By the time I was at the end several people had come up to me and commented that I looked bigger, hell I am bigger, Up 13 pounds not all of it pretty, but it is getting that way. Chest arms and legs seem to be growing exceptionally well. Very pleased with progress thus far after my month off
 
Your leg workouts .... are amazing... 315x12... damn I will one day hit that too! lol
I could have done more, I felt so strong but my knees were grumbling a bit. That is the worst part about getting old. My muscles are strong as ever....but all the supporting structures, tendons ligaments and cartilage are not and they limit me, when I want to run they force me to stop

I wonder if there is anykind of supps we can take for those lol. Aside from the cissus, glucosamine, msm, chondront, fish oil stuffs.

I don't know, joint force helps alot, elbow pain was un bearable before I started using that stuff. I think there is stem cell therapy that is experimental that is supposed to like totally reline your joints with fresh cartilage. If I could have my knees elbows and shoulders relined, I'd show you something, I would unleash the beast and really get huge :)

Best damn leg workout in some time. I experimented today, usually I take White Flood or Clearshot, today I took White Flood AND Clearshot. I will be doing that on leg day from here on in. God I was strong, could have done more on squats but this was supposed to be my light day. Screw that!! When you are feeling that jacked you have to put it to good use. Consequently I was nearly unable to exit my vehicle( a little low to the ground sport coupe) and going to the rest room and getting up and down out of chairs is excruciating. I can only imagine how I'll feel tomorrow. But damn it felt good while it was happening. I feel the Ursobolic is definitely having a positive impact on my strength. I am starting to feel like my old self. Watch out world the Truth is back!!

may I ask how you came to find this diet works for you and how you came about designing it? I am having a hard time designing a cutting diet for myself.. Did you set a specific goal for your macros and then split up the meals to your personal preferences? or just sort of guessed and saw how it changed your body?
Sorry I missed this post before it was not my intention to ignore it. My diet grew out of the Atkins, I used to go really low carb, and a lean bulk diet I found somewhere. I at one time had checked all the macros, now I know roughly how much I lose on and at what point I start to gain. If I find myself getting hungry, I drop carbs and add fat. Under 20 grams of carbs a day, I can eat all the fat and protein I want and never gain an ounce. I suggest starting here
Invalid Link Removed That will give you a baseline resting calorie usage and you just figure from there. Keeping in mind that I do not believe all calories are created equal and that 250 sugar calories will have more injurious effect on your waistline than 250 protein calories. I proved that to myself on the Atkins diet. My calorie intake was far above baseline yet I lost weight and lost it quickly. I would also like to point out that the two meals that I consume of protein shakes and nuts are for convenience sake only. My work place only gives me 2 15 minute breaks, not enough time to consume adequate real food protein so I opt for the protein shake, not an optimal situation in my opinion. Hope that helps and sorry for the delayed response
