Good man, busy with work, was away from home quite a bit last year, but should be done until Aug. then I'll be at USC/LAC trauma center in LA for some trauma rotations before heading out to Afghan and the Mrs is prego. All things m excited about.

How's things going with work? CRNA?

Congrats, bro! My daughter just turned 2 last month. It's an absolute blast, but very exhausting as well. We're working on another one as we speak; I think I'm mentally ready now, lol.

Work is good. I'm still working in the Pedi ER. I've learned quite a bit that's help me become much better rounded in my experience/knowledge.

School is going good, too. I'm part-time right now, so it's a bit slower than I'd like, but I will be back to full-time come the fall semester (hopefully.)

I've also been adding to my favorite hobby (my firearms collection). Man it's become impressive, haha. We need to go shooting one time when you're down this way!

"In this one, the teachers were trying to do a cross-curricular activity," Gwinnett County school district spokeswoman Sloan Roach said.

Roach said the teachers were attempting to incorporate social studies into math problems.

"We understand that there are concerns about these questions, and we agree that these questions were not appropriate," she said.

That's the excuse they're going with?! How about 'going green' and 'we found old stacks of math problems that we didn't want to just have to throwaway/recycle.' Something tells me that math teacher won't be there tomorrow.

Alright peeps, throw it at me. Finally moved and into the new house. Finally got finances squared away. Finally got about 95% of the boxes unpacked. FINALLY got some internet coming to the house!!! We decided to go with no TV/cable since we can find most anything online or through NetFlix. Question is, any recommendations on sites for TV shows, movies, whatnot? Already rocking tubeplus.me thanks to E, but any others out there I should look into?

Much obliged!

Curious about this as well. I only have one TV at my place and I left that in the living room for the rare instances of being social :)

Internet TV would be a plus to staying current for me.

I got a few I can post up later.

eh... Not really my style, but thanks! First things first... Catch up on the last seasons of The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy. From there, I dunno... We didn't get to finish the season out for Torchwood: Miracle Day, so I'll have to look that up, too.

Check out Hell on Wheels. Season finale this weekend, show was great.

I have heard good things about that one. I'll add it to my to-do list!

Hell on wheels is da bomb.

Torch wood? Haven't watched it. It's a spin off of doctor who right? I dig doctor who. My wife hates it but she doesn't get British humor. The latest season isn't even really hardcore British humor anyways.

Bomb patrol afghanistan is legit.

Torchwood is a spin-off, featuring Capt. Jack Harkness of the Who storyline. It was on BBC for a while (BBCAmerica) but it got cancelled. Starz picked it up and did their spin on it with a mini-series (Miracle Day). I got to see about half of it and it was indeed different, but it was decent for what it was. My one complaint is the dive into Jack's personal life and certain gay experiences. There's an episode with some rated R arse-humpin that I wasn't a huge fan of seeing. Otherwise, it's worth a little look.

About 6 months ago I really discovered doctor who (season 5-6 not the old stuff) and netflixed 50 some episodes in a matter of days lol. Now I'm hooked and am waiting for it to start back up on bbc America this spring. There is a British zombie show coming out here soon on bbc America that looked promising. And there is another show I keep meaning to catch on it but keep forgetting. Looked edgy can't recall the name. I'd have to look it up.

Bbc America amc fox fx and all the military discovery history etc channels are what I watch the most

Next season of Who is the last for Amy & Rory, just FYI. Too bad.. I rather like to look at Amy Pond. I'm such a sucker for a "ginger". lol

Not sure about the zombie show, but I'll definitely have to look it up! I honestly haven't had cable since October, which has SUCKED!! I'm not a TV junkie by any means, but I do like to unwind at the end of the day and just tune in to tune out, so to speak. I watched only a few shows faithfully - those mentioned above, for the most part. I'm definitely looking forward to being able to zone out next week!! Oooh, and bonus... just realized that I'm off on Monday. SCORE!!! Yeah, I'm not leavin' the couch... :D :D :D

Thank god for that. Amy is more annoying then Donna( and I thought I would never say that). The story with her and river song I felt kind of convoluted the stories with dr. Who, plus that chicks voice just kills me. Give me rose or Martha any day of the week. I do like Matt smith as the dr though, much better then I thought he would be after tennent. Gotta love the return of the angels and the silence in 5 and 6 too.

As for shows, goes without saying, Spartacus. Justified is a really good show too if you have time to check it out. Fringe and Bones are always solid.

Spartacus rocks and is about to start back up.

Rory bothers me a bit, but I like Amy. I really liked Rose too though she was more ballsy, but Amy is better looking. I'm surprised there are this many people on here follow it. Anyone catch the Christmas special? It was ok, but the whole show he was called the care taker and not the doctor. Didn't like that.

I caught it. loved it cause amy was only in it for about 2 minutes. Surprisingly I'm the opposite with that duo. I can tolerate Rory, but listening and watching Amy is like sitting in lemon juice and sawing my nuts off with a spork. They are being written off sometime during the first part of this season so I can't complain too much, unfortunately this is also Matt Smiths last season as well. Dude makes a damn good doctor. He'll be hard to top. Of course they said the same thing about Tennent, so I guess we will see.

One thing I can't stand is a thief. Caught someone trying to break into my car last night. Was sitting in my living room just minding my on business at about 1 in the morning. Notice a little teenager walking down the road. Thought that was kind of weird with it being early in the morning and about 10 degrees outside. Watched him walk across the neighbors yard and down beside the house. I keep my car parked beside my house. Waited about 10 seconds and thought I better check this out. I walked out into my front patio and stopped to listen and that's when I heard my car handle jiggle. Took off through the front door and saw the little punk standing at the trunk of my car for some reason. Yelled at him and started running after him. Chased him through the neighbors yard and up into a grave yard that sits behind the house. Unfortunately I was in my underwear barefoot when I realized that I just gashed the f*#ck out of my left foot. Had to stop and take a big deep pride swallow. No capture, underwear, foot... you know. Loose/loose/loose. Walked back to the house barefoot, limping, in my underwear in the snow. Checked my car to see if everything was okay, called the police and got dressed.

Wow that kind of sh!t makes me very angry

Man I wish u woulda caught that mother f*ucker prob a good thing u didn't tho lol
Yeah, in retrospect it was probably a good idea that I didn't. Who knows what he may have had on him. Spur of the moment you can do some weird things though. Nothing was bent or broken or bothered on my car so that makes it a little better. I have to say, the dude was slow as sh!t. If I had my shoes on and a healthy foot it would have been easy breezy to catch him. He really needs to find another job other then thief cause he's probably not going to last long.
Wow that kind of sh!t makes me very angry

Especially that he got away with it.

Tell me about it man. Nothing bothered on the car but just the fact that someone was out there trying to get into it just pisses me off to know end. I hate that feeling of violation it usually brings with it whether something was stolen or not. The more I think about it the more angry I get.

Little teenage punks with no respect for anything. Until 1 day years from now he's in jail getting raped thinking about where his life went wrong.

Yeah bro u might be in jail right now for whipping some punks ass then we would miss all u do for this site lol
This is very true :D

Very true. I see this getting worse as time goes on. My neighborhood use to be a great place, but over the past few years there have been an alarming increase in car theft and property damage. Kids today....... and parents today, for that matter. :zx11pissed:

Yeah man, it's all about the parents teaching (or not teaching in this case,) the kids how to behave in society. My buddy and I in college we were talking with this girl and she was going on about this guy she was dating and how he was a great guy but he had been arrested several times and spent time in jail yadda yadda. My buddy and I look at each other and say "Wow, that's a bum rap. How have we managed to stay out of trouble for this long!? No arrests, no jail time; we should go buy some lottery tickets cause we must be lucky as sh*t!"

To this day I still don't know if she understood what we were saying.

Maybe she thought she could 'fix' him.

That was probably just what she liked. It's what most young women like, Bad boys with hearts of gold. I blame television.

Happy Tuesday, all. Nice long weekend at my house. Had yesterday off as a holiday for the first time EVER. Finally got my internet hooked up at home, too. FINALLY rockin a Wifi network at the house. It seems pretty fast, too. I really don't know what "fast" is by modern standards, but to me, it's pretty kickin. Using speedtest.net, it's telling me that I'm getting 25.26 up and 3.6 down. Is that any good? No basis for comparison, but I like it.

Oh, and my 2 cents... Running Netflix on a Wii sucks. Resolution is horrible with a Wii. I'm disappointed that they don't have instant movies in HD, or atleast any that I've found. Really bummed about that!!

25mb upload and only 6 download? Seems backwards. Usually upload is slower. Anyhow 6mb download is ok. If you are happy with it then rock on. I think mine is about 12-13 download with xfinity.

Yeah Netflix on wii is kind if shabby. Do you have any other gaming system as Xbox and playstation do Netflix as well. Most DVD/blurays out now also do Netflix and other apps. Otherwise I would highly suggest you look into the Roku. Small streaming box with tons of content. Dif models to fit needs and price. They are pretty damn sweet and can be gotten for as little as 50 bucks for the Roku LT.

D'oh!! Wrote those backwards. It's 25 down, 6 up. And it is Xfinity (Comcast).

In the future, I am going to look into a Bluray player and I do want one with internet connectivity. I'm hoping that will work the Netflix better, and I haven't seen Bluray movies so I'm expecting good things there, too.

For blu ray, just bite the bullet and get a ps3. All in one. Gives you netflix, internet connectivity, web browsing and playstation store download capabilities.
