and how long do you have to take it?
He was also on super human radio not too long ago giving some advice on this very subject. Go to super human radio site and look for it in the archives. To sum things up though he said to take huge doses of probiotics before bed. Take some glutamine. Huge doses meaning like 100billion of about 10 non competing colonies. Pretty expensive, but if I works it's priceless.
I know a guy who may be able to help shed some light on this Dr Peter Rouse. He's one medical resource I highly value
I know I started this thread specifically about gut issues but that does not mean I think my primary issue is the gut. Instead there appears to be a very specific immune deficit. The gut issue is secondary to this and the lymphocyte dysregulation is secondary to this and the gut issue. Without going after the primary problem one can only apply bandaids (I'm not knocking these cause they can help too). I think you have the impression that my disease has been seen before and all it will take is some doctor to make the right diagnosis. Instead, this appears to be a novel disease requiring new basic research to identify. Help will more likely come from researchers (like me) than practitioners. My only hope to short circuit a protracted research program is to run a trial of something based on a hypothesis and hope to get lucky.
Peter was a PH.D biochemist research, getting his MD in 2 years now. I have a few select medical professionals I respect and hes defintely one of them
I'm glad you know some good people. Does he have access to any research assays for immune function?
I can find out next time I talk to him. I talk to him couple times a week. I know he has a $35Mill labratory at his disposal.
Hitest.
Give me specific details you want me to ask him. Phrase it in a question where I can just copy and paste it
anything I can do to help let me know.

I should say something about my worst symptoms just to give you a better idea what I am up against. My biggest problem has been for years a chronic cutaneous pain. This has progressively affected larger areas of my body. At this point nearly everything except my arms and legs are affected. This same pain also affects my lower digestive tract. It did not start there which is why I'm sure that the gut problems are not primary. The pain is obviously messing with my gut. Since seriously leaky guts have been associated with low lymphocytes counts my low counts are likely to be secondary to the gut issues. The low counts could also be a direct consequence of my primary issue but even for HIV they now think it is a leaky gut issue that does this and not the direct action of the virus. My pain fluctuates considerably strongly suggesting an immune component rather than nerve damage. The neurologist agrees. So the question is what immune system action is responsible for the pain and what is triggering it. This is a very hard question to answer. The most direct way would be to take a skin biopsy and analyze the immune cells in it. Only researchers do this sort of study and only for specific things. Cost makes a comprehensive scan impractical and even a very targeted one is not very practical for me.
Have you looked in to Ankylosis spondylitis ? have you been tested for HLA-B gene ? which is linked back to klebesellia pseudonomos which has been linked to this condition.
,
Ankylosing spondylitis is a disease of the skeleton. I have no problems with my joints or spine which is way better than most people my age. As far as I know the disease is not even associated with skin pain. I have not, however, been HLA typed. This is something that I have wanted to do but it never got high enough of my to do list and no physician I have seen wanted to order that on their own.

OK, lets talk about your skin pain. Do NSAIDs work? Opiates? Prednisone? COX2 inhibitors? Acupunture? HEAT?, COLD?, ANYTHING?
Is there a redness or marking on the skin where you feel pain?
Have you explored every parasite?
What CBC, IGE, IGG, reading looks wonky?
Matrix, is the GI recovery method your own based on your history or is it something like a Dr Hulda method? Parasite cleanse, kidney and liver?

I have tried everything you have listed and none of it has much effect on the skin pain. There are some areas that became chronically redder at the onset of the pain but other areas it comes and goes and others not much is visible. None of this looks that unusual (like mild seborrhea) to a dermatologist and you would have to have seen the before and after to associate it with the problem. I have had a comprehensive stool analysis and many other investigations for parasites. I do not think we are dealing with a parasite. My IGE readings are quite normal. My previous doctor was of the opinion that I had elevated IGG to various foods and molds and that this was further evidence of a leaky gut. On the CBC I consistently have low lymphocytes. If you look more closely you will find that my CD4 and CD8 T cells are low and also my B cells are low. These numbers are about 1/3 of what they used to be when I was healthy.
Have Mycoplasmas been investigated.
Leaky gut is assoicated with bacterial overgrowth which may be hidden in biofilms as I have seen in many cases.
Yes there is something.new out you.may have not known about. From studying autism you.learn all.the new tricks. Pm me.Update: The laxative effect of Xylitol has worn off at the dosage I have been taking. It is normal for the laxation threshold to go up but it also seems like anything else I have tried for the gut in that it adapts in such a way to return it to its usual poorly functioning state. Perhaps there still are some benefits to xylitol but it is harder to tell with everything else that has been going on lately. I do plan to continue with it and see if I can come to a conclusion. Everything I have read suggests that there are multiple health benefits so even if it is not obvious it seems worth continuing.
Has tried intestinal growth factors like IGF-1 as a way to improve a leaky gut?
