Jay breaking PRs with Intimidate and HGHpro

Intimidate + HGHpro update
This morning I woke up weighing 164.
Today at the gym I had an anger and a libido check.

The anger check was from a bro-coach trying to tell me I should lean back a lot while doing Lat pulldowns. He refused to shut up about it and normally I can ignore guys like this. I kind of just snapped and told him if he said one more word to me about it I was going to slam his head into the wall behind the lat pulldown machine. He finally dropped it but I'm pretty sure he said something about roids while he walked away.

The libido check was from a girl who was doing squats at the platform across from me while I was doing dumbbell rows. She was wearing high socks and short sweat pant like shorts. Pretty much killed all of my focus on the rows and it was all I could think about. So I'm going to say my libido is up slightly more than usually.

Wow, I type my work out on my phone as I do it to keep it all 100% accurate. I hit send before I left but I just realized the post didn't come up.

Yesterday was Day 8 - 12/17/11

Calf & Wild card, I felt like it was a bicep day.

I honestly don't remember everything I did and the numbers. All I know is I did a lot of standing calf raises, seated calf raises and curls. I remember know I redeemed myself and cambered bar curled 85lbsx10 for 3 sets without breaking form.


Today
Day 9 - 12/18/11

Today is an optional cardio day. I'm really not in the mood to go for a run, but it is a nice day out and my friends want to throw together a basketball game. So I will be dunkin' on kids for an hour for my cardio.
 
Feeling pretty good this morning. I'll probably bench 1000 pounds nbd. Just kidding, but I'm definitely in a great mood.
 
Heading to the gym now. Strapped on time so I parachuted all 2 scoops of hemavol and 1 scoop of maximize at the same time.. probably the worse decision of the year for me. Chest and Bi's today, I'm ready.

Nice work today. When you go from Incline to Flat bench why waste time with a few low wt sets since you are already warm? You could probably jump right to 225 and get a few more reps than you are because you wont be fatigued from the warmup.

I like to do a nice pump/warmup at 135x12, but the following sets might work up to my "working" sets with a 5-6 rep set so I get adjusted to the increased wt. Then I am ready to push the 225x8 for several sets.

I like to do a few sets of 10 somewhat heavy. I can only do 225x10 for one set fresh.

Feeling pretty good, sleeping better definitely helps but I'm also feeling more confident about my strength.

He was calling me out on my max backsquat, and there were hotties I wanted to try to impress so I went for a max. I got a new PR, I worked for it a lot more than my previous max but last time I tried this weight I got it off the rack and said f**k it and re-racked it.

380x1 PR - This was probably the lowest squat I've did in my life, I was honestly surprised I didn't leave a sweaty ball print on the platform. I actually went with no spot since I'm confident in dumping weight(This gym also has rubber weights so it wasn't a problem) and I wanted my cousin to video tape it. I got it taped but deleted it because on the way up just before parallel I ripped ass and almost lost it. Luckily only the my cousin heard but he's not letting it go. Still got it none the less and I'm happy. This was definitely my 100% effort max.

Big congrats on the PR squat. Always feels good to beat yourself. I've never been a fan of cookies-n-cream flavors, always sickeningly sweet. I'd like to try one that actually tasted like an oreo instead of sugared vanilla with tiny chocolate flakes. Good to know there are other people out there actually doing full ROM squats. Seems like all I ever see at the gym are people kinda sticking their butt back a bit, slightly bending their knees and that's it. Maybe moving 6 inches total, drives me insane!

Got some good numbers there, I must say that I am impressed, you are one strong dude.:cheers:

Thanks, I started doing a full ROM squat when I got interested in clean and jerks. Definitely helped me get use to it.
 
atg squats is where its at. I do half squats sometimes and they blow the upper quads up. Nothing gives the legs a nice look as going atg

I like to rotate between box squats and ATG's. Variation seems to be key for me and getting my legs to grow.
 
I wish I could go ATG... my knees are WAY too trashed to bend the knee that much under a heavy load... I can barely go parallel and then have to come back or Ill injure myself and then theres NO squats being done, or deads... cant have that...
 
Anything past parallel and my meniscus screams at me. I also rotate box squats and Bulgarian split squats into the mix. Nice PR Jay!

Ive been contemplating doing box squats to take strain off my knees, but we dont have anything the right height at my gym... the benchs arent the right height to even use...

Yep, that's them except I don't use the step. I do have a 45lb vest on and hold an 80lb DB in my hand though for sets of 12x2.

Awesome pullups! I need to get a belt to add wt for wted pullups. Also, I love the way DB pullovers work the chest and abs when you stretch it back. I remember my first time doing them I was sore in my ribcage . . . like I had been beat up. I realized it was from the stretching of the ribcage.

Yeah the pullovers really do stretch out the ribcage, haven't really felt it in my chest though.
