Chance of Acromegaly at 23?

Hello,
I will be doing a cycle of HGH very soon. I have done quite a bit of research on the sides and the only one that is of great concern to me is Acromegaly. I always read that it was a possible side effect, but was under the impression that it was ultra rare and that it was only likely if you were genetically predisposed to the condition. However I got quite anxious after I read this post by a someone who was 24 at the time:

hello ya'll,

ever since i've taken HGH 4IU/day for 9weeks, i've noticed my skull deforming. There is a little bump on my forehead that was never there before. also my elbow joints are definitely longer. Is it possible that HGH can cause skull deformities or is it all in my head. i'm not sure if i want to do another cycle anymore.

Having read this, I am a bit anxious about starting my cycle. I know there are tons of young people who use HGH at even higher doses for long periods of time with no problems at all. I imagine I may be over worrying a little, but I'm going to take measurements of my skull, and may order some calipers like phrenologists used to use back in the day to make sure my head isn't growing!

So am I over worrying on this? By the way I'm 23 and plan to use 4 I.U's 5/2. Does anyone know what GH levels need to be present in the body for Acromegaly to occur? I have already gotten my IGF-1 levels checked (286 ng/mL), and I might go in for an actual GH count and/or see an endocrinologist. I would like to know how likely Acromegaly is to occur and if there is anything I can do to make sure my GH levels don't go into a range where Acromegaly could be a risk, such as routine blood testing.

Thank you!

dude no way at those dosages... YOu got to take a lot more than that for a long time to get the big head gut and feet.

Nothing is impossible, but the odds of 4iu a day for 9 weeks having caused that are miniscule. are the odds 0? nope. Its sort of like with gynocomastia, plenty of people think they have it when instead they have some bloating, swelling and sensitivity.

in studies for adults with an IGF deficiency the use anywhere from .4-.8iu a day to reach normal young adult levels, so 4 iu would put igf levels much higher.

Also at your age, i doubt that low a dose of HGH will even do anything. other than suppress your natural production
