Protocol... was pink, now purple?

I just cracked open a new tub of Protocol (lot# L03182), and noticed
that the powder was much darker and finer than the previous tub
(lot# K09487). Mixed in water, the old batch was light pink with
a bit of white floaties (leucine?), whereas this new batch mixes up
a dark plum color with no floaties. ...ingredients label is the same on
both tubs, so what has changed?

The floaties are the leucine particles. Leucine batches vary widely with particle size...sometimes we receive micronized batches, sometimes not.

white refracts light, so the larger leucine particles would give the appearance of a lighter overall color.

haha... that's just an educated guess, and the only thing i can think of as everything else is the same.
