How much is too much?

I am my in my second week of my first cycle test e 250 and I have been consuming roughly 4000 calories daily of mainly chicken, protein bars/shakes, oatmeal, eggs, sweet potatoes, and been taking megaman sport vitapacks. I wanna say that somedays I may possibly be have 4500 and with all of those calories come alot of protein becuase of the types of food im eating, how many calories and how many grams of protein is taking it too far for a daily value.

It depends on your own body and your bodyweight. I'm 200lbs and I take in 4500-5000 cals when on cycle, but that's just me. I don't care about packing on some fat as long as I'm packing on the muscle. It's much easier to lose fat than to gain muscle.

I personally don't like to go more than 1200-1500 Cal's over maintenance which for me is around 4200-4500 Cal's. Any more than that and that fat comes on quick. Protein you don't need to go any higher than 1.2-1.5g per lb. Of body weight IMO. For me I aim for 300g a day. I've also heard that when you start getting around 400g or more per day it can put a lot of stress on the kidneys, so that is another thing to keep in mind...

thanks for the input

Would definitely agree with RickRock as far as 1.5g per LB. I can speak first hand of too much is not a good thing. I spent 3 days in Hospital when I was in college for Protein Overdosing. That will kill your cycle. Wont do that again, it F'ing hurts.

and what exactly is a "protein overdose"?

are you sure it wasnt from "alcohol abuse" i mean you were in college...

Lord knows i drank plenty when i was in college :drunk:. but the truth is once you break the healthy threshold of healthy protein intake you are then forcing your kidneys to filter the excess protein which is very tough on them. It can cause insane migranes, restlessness, and renal dysfunction and pain.

not an issue in healthy adults with high GFRs and drink water.

im sure you abused your body and the thing that was killing kidneys was nights of drinking and cocaine destroying your renal function and then dehydration poor protein turnover ect forced more of an issue.

ive been consistently eating 300-400g protein per day for 6 years. GFR is perfect.
