Guys,
As you may know if you have read any of my threads I am very prone to panic attacks an or slash bouts of dizzy spells. I think I may have abused my body too much back in the pro hormone days. Anyway I have taken great care now to keep my supplements mild because I do not want another episode plus Im older now so I prefer a slow an steady gain as opposed to doing like a methyl 1 test run or such as I used to do. Anway, I've been taking IGF-2 with Shift for the past months with no sides. I added on Mr Supps Forma Stanzonal last week at 3 pumps a 2X a day with no issue. Well this weds my IGF-2 ran out so I switched that with Athletix's Titianium which i started yesterday and was fine all day yesterday... Well today I wake up shower put 3 pumps of the Forma on me go downstairs kill a shake and some oatmeal pop a Titanium, a Shift, a Orange Triad and my claritin grab a diet coke an goto work. I was fine most of the drive there but as soon as I started to pull in my work parking lot I started getting dizzy spells and my brain started feeling fuzzy. In our morning meeting I could barely sit still an had the very dry mouth. I had to get up twice in the meeting run out an get water. As soon as it ended I ran outside and was pacing back and forth for a good 40 minutes feeling very faint and a andrenlin rush from being scared I would. After several waves of this anxiety hitting me and the adrenalin whereing off I finally calmed down around 1130. I have felt spacey and beat the whole rest of the day. I am def not going to take any supps tonite. I am curious if I should just go cold turkey or if you guys think this may just because I took everything at once an it just hit me wrong....Not sure what to do next and looking for serious advice. Thanks all.

This is something an average board member can't really answer. It sounds serious enough to get a doctor's opinion on it and maybe run some bloods. I don't think you should ignore it because the consequences could be severe. For example, you're driving to work and have a "dizzy" episode and pass out and get in a crash. Otherwise, I'd back off a bit and run one product at a time to see which one is giving the problems and maybe try to isolate an ingredient that may be affecting you adversely.

And how do you know for a fact that it's a supp that's causing these problems? What if there's an underlying issue with your health?

well back when I used to get panic attacks alot...(i havent in the past 5 years) i went an got an ekg done at the heart doctor..everything came back fine..I recently got blood work done 6 months ago but that was for digestive issues and that came back fine too...my regular doctor tells me just try to relax and no caffeine or anything he knows I am anxiety ridden....and I know I am high strung too...but I appreciate the honest response....I think the immediate answer is to stop taking everything an see how I feel in a couple days..if it happens again without being on anything def goto the doc. It sucks I was getting back into supps and bodybuilding I guess Im gonna have to do it with nothing now.

I used to get these ...

It's not the sups ... it's psychological. Mine would happen when I was placed in a stressful situation - like ... oh ... Afghanistan and Iraq - where my decisions could mean someone got killed.

And any time I search for the meaning of life - or read the Bible ... or Bhagvad Gita - or just think about why we on the earth - I get these attacks too.

There's something heavy on your mind brother - it's not bb sups.

Sounds very much like a panic attack. I doubt the supplements themselves are causing them, but that fact that you are taking supplements in general is probably not helping, considering you might instantly think "omg bad supplement reaction" and then your panic attack worsens.

Some of your symptoms also sound like mild hypoglycemia. I am speaking from experience on that. I used to get hypoglycemia very easily, not even taking supplements

drop the diet coke and other caffiene sources for a try. Also avoid other stims like 1,3 dimeth.... and nicotien ect.

Guys. Telling him that it can't possibly be the supps is simply wrong. It may be or may not be. The two that jump out at me are the IGF-2 and the Adamantium. Understand that I have horrible panic attacks, but I'm also medicated for them. Changes in dopamine from the IGF-2 could cause it, but more than likely it is the Adamantium because DAA can cause anxiety and if you are already prone to it, then even more so. I currently am taking IGF-2 and Adamantium and have been fine, but they work for me and that isn't going to be the case for everbody. Both are really great products, but not everything works for everybody. I would highly recommend seeking professional help though. Even if you don't take meds everyday like I do, you can always have something like a beta-blocker or a benzo on hand to help with the panic attack when it strikes. If you'd like more help on the issue, just send me a PM.

I agree with some of this

I have had very bad bouts of anxiety during my early 20's. Some possible contributing factors to my anxiety, that I worked out with my therapist, were terrible eating habits, hypoglycemia and high stress at home and at work, insomnia.
I became depressed and it was very hard to leave the house because of episodes like what u described happened at ur job.
I would get caught up in a sort of fight or flight response where my body reacted as if I were in danger or there was something to fear. When I'd finally calm down I'd be extremely tired with muscle pain.

I was instructed to try and keep my blood sugar stable and to leave off All stims. coffee, soda anything that I might suspect to have a stimulant. The idea I suppose is that anything causing a change in brain or body chemistry could be a catalyst for anxiety on top of all the psychological stresses we put on ourselves.

My anxiety is really the whole reason I started working out and it's been quite awhile since I've had a real bad attack.

I have over the years, reincorporated stims and such back in to my daily routine without problems. If it happens again I'll immediately quit everything.

Take the advice these guys gave and go to a professional who can help you work out a plan to get that anxiety down. I would quit the supps except for staple supps like multi's/fishoil.

this is just my experience, and I hope u feel better soon.

Exactly, everything has to be taken into consideration with anxiety, it can easily be a chemical and emotional combination (don't know if I'm expressing that right but I think i got the idea across)

I insist, go to a doctor :) it's a long road, I jumped from psychiatrist to psychologists and back. Was also medicated for a time but used nutrition and exercise as a replacement while getting better.

thanks all for the advice....I think everything that everybody said is partially true...I am stressed now because I am considering leaving my job so that could be part of it to. I am going to go cold turkey on the supps for a while except for the basics. For the record I started taking Titanium not Adamantium. I won't take Adamantium because of the DAA in it an I know how I am. Don't need more mood swings. Also I should clarify I haven't had bad panic attacks for like 5 years and that was due to a very stressful time in my life. I had a mild dizzy spell a month or two ago when I thought I took two claritins on the same day but this one yesterday was way more intense. I am a very psycho symatic person. Don't ever underestimate the power of the brain haha. I'll give it a couple weeks an if Im still bad Ill def goto the doctor. I also see someone noted about the IGF-2 and the l dopa yes maybe I stopped it too abruptly I was taking a 6 day then when the bottle ran out then none and I don't know if anyone else had this effect but I was so mellow on that stuff I felt like I took half a valium or something all the time I actually didn't like it for lifting it killed my aggression. Oh well Im very dissappointed I cant' take the supps right now I was making great progress but maybe in future if I'm less stressed Ill try a single one at a time again.

100% of the time I have taken any product containing Loratadine I will get very dry mouth, become very wired and have anxiety. I am not anxiety prone either. It is a histamine and can act like a stimulant in some users. I haven't taken one in a year and have not had symptoms recur. I have taken claritin 5 times, and every time I felt this way. But, please seek professional medical advice. Good luck.

definitely get checked out by a professional, you're taking too many risks with your health, for the mean time reduce your supps. BTW, are you training regularly? how do you feel after a heavy workout? I'm just curious b/c your body goes through a lot of stress.

delta,
yes I am training regularly and usually feel great afterwords..btw for those who were so kind to write or / care Ive been fine all weekend with no attacks just took my vitamins, protein, and creatine thats it.

You need to reduce your stress. Meaning stop all Stimulant intake, eat healthier, and sleep for at least 8 hours a night. I sometimes get Anxiety attacks. My doctor wanted me on Xanax, but I'm completely against it because I've had many friends die from it.

Personally, whenever I get too anxious I take Phenibut. I take a small dose (about 1g) and it really seems to help reduce my stress level.

I also recommend you discontinue the use of all your supplements besides a multi, and creatine.

Go to your doctor if its extremely severe. Anxiety attacks can cause strain on your heart which can cause other problems.

Good news, glad you had no reoccurrence.

Excellent post and I completely agree. Sounds like reducing the extra supps have already help the OP out so far.

I agree!!! Same experiences here from deployment. I am still suffering from panic attacks 3 yrs later. I have a psych. appointment wed.
You need to talk to someone, no one including myself wants to hear that, but after 3 years of my dogs and my wife cowering in the shadows of my outbursts, I accepted that there was an underlying problem.
This place is a good start if you are open to it. I know alot of people vent here, but only a doctor can really help you.
