Dr John Crisler's protocol

Can anyone tell me if his protocol of TRT/HCG maintains fertility as well as other testicular functions? His literature never mentions fertility...only testicular function and sense of well being from HCG addition. There are so many conflicting views. Some say HCG only keeps testicals large and that you need FSH (HMG) to keep fertility. Others say HCG does both.

I have recovered my fertility from 8 months of Clomid after almost a year of TRT-induced shutdown. My T levels will not stay up off of the Clomid so I plan on trying TRT/HCG. But my wife & I have been going to a fertility clinic each month for IUI procedures. She will kill me if my sperm go by-by again.
 
Go to someone that handles fertility on a daily basis. Dr. Crisler is great for giving you some compounded test, and even has a focus in bodybuilding issues, but fertility doesn't seem his strong suit. He is a DO so technically doesnt even have a specialization.

Look up the SHER institute for reproductive medicine.

i have used HMG in patients. We are waiting to rerun sperm quality and motility on follow up patients for 3 months. This is relatively new area we are exploring and using clinical studies to verify its effectness
 
Is there any evidence that HCG supplementation does or does not maintain fertility? I would do HMG if it were not so dang expensive.

he's 61 been on trt for decades and fathered a kid in his 60
thats living proof right there

deal with it when u cross that bridge
drinking coffe, smoking, drinking also kill fertility

I will pm him. I have dealt with it though. I kinda need to make sure the bridge is sound before I get to it full speed. Just recovered from the loss of sperm from TRT. No kids yet but I am in the process right now until we have a one. Cant afford to go through it again. Doc prescribed me HCG with it this time. Some say it is the key, others say its not enough.
 
have a Dr's patient that just started on HMG and will be getting sperm tested in 3 months so I will let you know what we find if things improve..

just so as you realize, nobody is going to give you a written warranty :) individual results ALWAYS vary and even in medical studies its a statistically significant number of people maintain or restore fertility, not that all do. You probably are best off living with the low testosterone a few more months until she is pregnant, or at least store a bunch of it now since right now you are producing enough sperm.
 
Good point EasyEJL. I guess I will have to. Here are some very informative endo medical journal write-ups about HCG. I'm still gonna hold off for a while though.

it goes without saying but no one seems to write about it...no hot showers, no hot tubs...as we all know hot water kills them..and you want as many as you can to stay alive before they make the long journey up the tubes.

in my case I hadnt been on HRT for very long and I was using clomid during that time...plus a 7 day cruise helped. no stress and lots of time in the cabin.

There you have it from the legend him self.

So ageless I have heard clomid on HRT works wonders for fertility, but some of the negative side effects of estrogen may not make it feasible for some drs patients. What dosages where you using. I had one drs patient that told me if you want to get a women pregent try some clomid with in a few days BINGO !!

Ageless do you use HCG w/trt or just TRT.?
 
I was under the impression that Clomid while taking exogenous testosterone would be null and void. Does Clomid stimulate LH & FSH more than the test supresses it? I ask this because while AGELESS did have a child on TRT, it may have happened before the TRT fully infertilized him.

Ummmm... No disrespect intended, but DOs can and do specialize all the time. They even complete MD residencies instead of DO residencies if they so choose (and I think the majority usually do). In this day and age, DOs and MDs are for all intents and purposes, identical in scope and practice.

Sorry for the off-topic statement, I'd just hate to have someone overlook a perfectly competent and educated doc simply due to the initials following their name.

Not to mention the fact that he specializes because he chooses to devote all off his time and energy investigating this particular medical condition. How many doctors do that?
