lipomas

This isnt really a weight loss topic its more general. Any one who can advice me were to post feel free to thanks.

Ive always had an amount of flab around my chest, over the last year Ive slowly been putting on lean mass and loosing fat.
So after loosing some fat around my chest there are now groups of lumps all differing in sizes, no pain, on both sides of my chest. They are above, under, below and to the side of the nipple, basically the whole of my lower chest. I Talked to a Dr and it seems to be lipomas.

By the looks of it surgery is the only way to remove them. But i was wondering if I continue to bulk would it spread the lipomas out and reduce the look of me having big soft breasts.

The doc didnt really have an answer for that question.

Any one have any experience with groups of lipomas?

sounds like gynecomastia to me, I have the same problem so as of now im just saving up for surgery.....Ive continued to lose fat but it seems to make it worse so I would say to just gain as much muscle mass as possible

It is lipoma, I have them as well. They are harmless and can be removed by your general physician. I am getting mine removed next month. There is three ways to remove them. Small incision, liposuction, or an injection. I will be doing the incision

If the incision is done by the Gp does that make it cheap? and can the gp remove them on the chest?

Thanks

Yes and yes

Cheaper than going to a specialist. For my insurance at least. GP can do all the ones except from the neck up

Ya have a GP do it if you don't mind scars.

To the OP, sounds more like gynecomastia than multiple lipomas that coincidentally surround the areola. Do you have these lumps anywhere else on your body?

It'd be pretty strange for multiple lipomas to show up just in that location. It wouldn't be strange if this was hidden glandular breast tissue that is now exposed due to your weight loss. Were you quite heavy in the past?

I agree.

I do have them near my areola, but I have them everywhere

I guess I'm lucky I have a few but none that have to be removed.good luck with the removal natty

Yes I was larger in the past. I just had a feel about and I cant seem to find them any were else.

thanks guys

Then I'd get a second opinion before you let someone cut you trying to remove them.

IE, I'd go see a general surgeon. The reason being, is that the technique differs when removing a simple lipoma compared to gynecomastia, and there are good surgeons who can make an inferior areolar incision and remove all glandular tissue without leaving a scar.

Plus, you're young dude, you're going to want as little scarring as possible.
