2010 College Football Season

I do.. Auburn is consistently a few inches bigger in both length and girth.

But anyway -- Look at Iowa? How inconsistent they are? Okay, I'll look at that. Actually that helps to prove my point. With less talented players you might be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat every once in a while. But in the long run if you play a tough schedule you WILL LOSE games. Aka. Northwestern and Arizona losses. Just because they beat your terrible Penn St. team doesnt mean they are a powerhouse.

So how are these developed players looking in the NFL from Boise? Ian Johnson who was Boises all EVERYTHING is working at a grocery store now. All of Boises QB's who put up great stats against the garbage competition they play are nowhere to be found on a NFL roster and the same will go to Kellen Moore and his girly arm. Boise has ZERO (0) players in the NFL who mean anything to their team.

So you're telling me that if Boise played Alabama(Who hasn't even been more than an above average SEC team this year, but has solid recruits and NFL talent) on a neutral field in a pick-em game you'd put your life savings on Boise? I GUARANTEE you that you wouldn't. None of these people who are backing Boise to play in the NC game would either.

refer back to my post! where did i even mention Boise st? By the way i think boise st plays my local high school team every year.

I need some sugar.

LSU and the hat can bleaux me. LSU's luck will run out this week in Little Rock. Go Hogs.

Haha, the Hats luck will not run out. Geaux Tigers, Geaux LSU!!!

Honestly, Im very excited about the game. LSU/Arkansas is always a great game. Im a bit nervous with the game. Im tired of seeing LSU under perform in one manner or another in nearly every game for the last 3 years. But he does seem to find a way to win.

I do like that the coaches are finally trusting the QBs to make plays, letting them go downt he field more.

If they keep play calling like that, allowing players to make plays and the D plays its normal game then LSU wins. If the D doesnt step up it could be long day. Either way, I expect a tytical hard fought SEC game.

I think Bama pulls it out against Auburn. Eventually all these allegations will wear on them mentally. Not to mention I think Bama has the all around game to beat Auburn. Plus a good D. Will be another tough, close game.

It will be a good game. Incredible offense vs. incredible defense. The Hogs play well in Little Rock, plus we are desperate for a 10 win regular season. I don't think the Hogs can be stopped right now, I do wish we had Greg Childs though.

Please tell the hat he is welcome to eat all of the grass he wants in War Memorial, but be ready for a doctor visit because it is field turf.

Would you like me to get you an autographed picture of him? Maybe two for both of you. Now that I think about it.. the shaved head guy grabbing Newtons balls kind of looked like him. (coincedence???)

no Jimmy Johns request?

You know, I'm starting to see a pattern with you:

Exhibit A: All the bitching and moaning about Alabama claiming 13 national titles... and AU has one... and they were on probation that year, and didn't play in the post-season. (No, I didn't count the probation year in 1993 when they wouldn't even allow Pat Dye in the stadium. They should've kept that policy, btw.)

Exhibit B: You claim obsession when I post $Cam pics... yet I 'd when I searched to see how many times you posted the name Ingram in this thread.

Exhibit C: Auburn is in jeopardy of having their Heisman candidate QB and others exposed in a pay-for-play scandal involving a father shopping his son, the FBI, Bobby Lowder, failed banks, casinos, and debit cards... and you come up with...

Jimmy Johns?

Okay.

Anyway, Potter was sold out this past weekend... so I saw this instead:

At least I didn't say Rolando.. it might of been more fitting.

I do like that Money Train one though. What I like even more than that is I haven't heard ANYTHING about this story in almost a week. People finally got tired of hearing every unnamed source in America's made up lies.

Yeah, the FBI is just farting around with taxpayer money... because they care so much about a college football player. I'm sure nothing in that TigerDroppings thread is true. It's all a complex conspiracy... to keep a consistent middle-of-the-road SEC underachiever from having one non-controversial title in 100 years.

Makes perfect sense.

Way for bammers to try to feel better about themselves about being second fiddle in the state of Alabama this year after a huge high where they thought they were on top of the world.

Does it make more sense that the NCAA/SEC/Auburn continue to allow him to play if there is supposedly all this concrete evidence? Didn't think so.

The NCAA cleared him to play before the season started with these facts back then also.

Did Reggie Bush continue to play? Did Albert Means play?

The NCAA cleared him to play before the season started with these facts back then also.

The NCAA didn't "clear" anyone. That's not how it worked. The NCAA even commented that MSU dropped the ball when they first reported Cecil's attempts. Until an official Letter of Inquiry is handed down, the university is the only entity who can sit a player. The NCAA can "advise" an AD that there may exist issue concerning eligibility (like they most likely did prior to the UGA game), but until they begin and complete a full investigation, the school calls the shots. Therefore... the "no comment"s and the "All In"s.

Hey, if you think everything's just gonna go away... that's great. If you think AU didn't pay Newton and Dyer, etc. ... that's great too. You may turn out to be right.

Probably not though.

Oh, and if, for some strange reason, Pat Dye goes into lockdown mode and is a no-show on Finebaum for the first time in 17 years, you'll know the heat is on. ;)

Dumbest comment in the the entire 70 pages. It's now been found out that he is in the hospital very ill. Good try though.

Bama's only second fiddle this year if they lose to the Barn... and I wouldn't count those chickens just yet.

Yeah... it's such a down year @ 9-2. These 35 wins over the past three seasons and another top 5 recruiting class on the way really has me bummed out. All hope is lost.

It's now been found out that he is in the hospital very ill. Good try though.

I just happen to see Finebaum's Twitter post... and I know you're a loyal listener... so I posted that in jest.

Too bad about Dye. Hopefully, he'll be able to pay off the Grim Reaper. Not sure what he can use though... 'cause he sold his soul back in the late 80s.

on a positive note.. im 220 at alot skinnier body fat % than I've ever been! Woo hoo! Maybe someone will pay me to goto college and play football next year. h0other Urlacher!

-The Auburn Hillbillies-

Come and listen to a story about a kid named Cam,
A liar and a thief, but Auburn didn't give a damn
Then one day he got paid to play the game
And out of nowhere the investigators came
NCAA that is, judge and jury, Committee on Infractions

Well the first thing you know Auburn decides to go "all in"
Cheating didn't matter just as long as they can win
Glendale, Arizona is the place they want to be
So they threw out the rulebook and called themselves "family"
The Auburn family that is, yes we cam, "lean on me"

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Cam and all our wins
He'll play in the NFL with that same shit eatin' grin
How in the world could we have been such fools,
Now we have to pick up the pieces of what's left of our school

Sanctions that is, reduced scholarships, bowl bans

We'll be back now, y'hear?

poor poor Alabama fans.. can't get excited enough about a 9-4 season, so you take your entire days to write poems and make pictures of your hero ( Cam Newton ). I feel bad for you guys this year, I really do.

In response to Gene Stallings saying Alabama is the better rushing team --

AU
Cameron Newton 206 1297 6.371 (TD)17
Michael Dyer 137 859 6.338 (TD)5
Onterio McCalebb 78 683 8.870 (TD)9
Mario Fannin 55 367 6.742 (TD)4

bama
Mark Ingram 136 780 5.754 (TD)10
Trent Richardson 92 634 6.965 (TD)5
Eddie Lacy 51 320 6.337 (TD)4
Jalston Fowler 13 108 8.336 (TD)1
Demetrius Goode 24 104 4.3151

Do I need to run some numbers here, or is it pretty obvious. Let's throw Cams numbers out, just for the sake of argument. And I'll give them 5 RB's vs our 3 just to try and be fair, since they are in fact RBs. I could give them 6 and it still doesn't change the numbers that much.

Total yards minus Cam.
AU yds 1909 Carries - 270
UA yds 1946 Carries - 316

YDS/Carry minus Cam
AU - 7.0703
UA - 6.1582

YDS/GM minus Cam
AU - 173.54
UA - 176.91

YDS/GM - this one includes CN and is the team numbers.
AU - 307.9
UA - 184.9

So they are the better rushing team except for yards/carry as long as we don't include CNs numbers. And for the record, I was being very generous giving them 5 RBs, that flipped every stat but one.
Well I have news for you, despite your media campaign against us, Cams playing.

What really separates us is our O-Line, but please go blindly into the night...

Please.

We're coming!

ERR SORRY. I forgot Alabama fans dont' like facts. If it makes you feel better, an unnamed source proclaimed that Ingram really has 2,000 rushing yards this year already and is the best running back this country has ever seen.

Ooh, ooh! I got some numbers too!

Bama defense: 12.8 points per game - #3 in the nation
AU defense: 24.9 points per game - #59 in the nation
(Oregon is #11)

Bama pass defense: #13 in the nation
AU pass defense: #102 in the nation
(Oregon is #17)

^^That explains why all AU fans would drown in their own tears if $Cam got hurt or declared ineligible. Those are the most pathetic defensive stats I've ever seen for a team supposedly worthy of title talk.

Why run Ingram? Bama should just throw on every down. Julio and Maze must be foaming at the mouth this week.

Remember though, the only stat that matters is the scoreboard at the end of the game. For example, here's what it looked like the last time AU came to Bryant-Denny:

You left out the rush defense stats.. Considering those normally correlate pretty well with PASS defense. Considering the opposing team has to do one or the other. Sad thing is that the yards per play stats allowed by the defense is pretty similar. HMMM.. Our quick strike offensive allowing other teams ALOT more plays than most team have anything to do with that? I JUST MIGHT THINK SO BOO BOO. Here let me show you those rushing stats:

11. Auburn 11 356 1227 3.45 15 1 11.55
22. Alabama 11 366 1372 3.75 5 1 24.73

Would you like to me to get into sacks or tackles for a loss? No. You better hope that terrible offensive line of yours can keep our defense away long enough for "Hold On To The Ball Too Long" McElroy to be able to get a pass off to Mini Maze and Drop The Easy Catch But I still got a free Escalade Jones.

wow..beat us in the biggest disaster year Auburn has seen in the past 20 years.. I'm impressed beyond words. How about the 6 previous scoreboards before that one? That coach doesn't seem to be running our sidelines right now, is he? We didn't have a offensive coordinator then, did we? Our quarterback wasn't 6'6 250 with a gun for a arm, was he? That scoreboard wont help you're slow linebackers tackle Cam Newton this weekend, as much as you'd hope it would.

In determining sanctions, the NCAA is tossing around the idea of forcing Auburn to introduce a new helmet decal...

If you dont include PASSING which should be considered in ALL PURPOSE yards and allow Richardson to use his Rushing, Punt Returns and Kick Returns against a QB's rushing only stats then Richardson. Congrats. You should claim the NC this year for that.

Funny... I don't see Oregon fans having to use that excuse.

Considering they have PLAYED ONE [1] somewhat difficult game the ENTIRE season and opponents have a combined record of 44-63, for some reason I feel the schedules aren't comparable. It was alot easier to stop Georgia State than it was against South Carolina for you guys, NO?

I just thought it was interesting... considering Richardson has missed two games and gets only roughly half the carries when he plays. I don't watch many Auburn games, so I'm assuming their backs don't return kicks.

You seem a bit on edge. Maybe pop a Xanax or something.

^^You probably won't get the above reference... which reminds me: ESPN Classic has been showing all the great Iron Bowl games from the 80s and 90s. If you've never seen them, you should definitely DVR them. I highly recommend the '83, '84, and '85 games. Bo Jackson played in all of those.
