2010 College Football Season

19 carries for 52 yards.. AGAIN .. But if he had 40 carries I'm guessing he would of ran for 329 yards because the D would of been tired of stopping him for 2.7 yards every carry and would of started letting him take it to the house every run.

I see you conveniently left out the 1-yard reception that he turned into a 78-yard TD. Wait... didn't $cam struggle a bit against MSU? Are you suggesting 70 yards rushing is a superior performance? Or is it the whopping 130 passing yards?

Don't answer. Just keep polishing brass on the Titanic.

Btw though, if you want to discuss how dirty Nick Fairley plays, how sickeningly egotistical your pay-for-play QB acts, or how disturbingly corrupt your program is... I'm game for that!

Oh, and you better be nice to Ingram. He has a Heisman vote, you know.

Well, well... Boise back @ #3. There's no way they won't be in Glendale.

Oregon vs. Boise State *Part Deux* on January 10, 2011.

Really don't think they'll make it to the NC game..even if Auburn loses. Lately I've heard more and more people against them as they get more pub on national TV. The competition they play is horrendoes. I think they only way they'd let Boise in is if Oregon lost because it'd shut some people up having a SEC team in the NC game. They're not going to allow 2 weak conference/weak schedule teams in.

Who's "they?" If AU or Oregon loses, how does Boise not get in?

- 9-0 Boise is already ranked ahead of 11-0 TCU.
- TCU's season ends a week before Boise's.
- TCU has no difficult games left, and Boise still plays a ranked Nevada.
- A one-loss SEC team is not getting in this year... especially when that loss is late in the season.

I'm telling you: This year is the payoff for all of ESPN's hard work. If neither AU or Oregon lose, you can bet the house that ESPN will be "your leader in sports information" concerning CamGate after the season ends. Like Auburn, they've invested a lot of money into this.

Boise doesn't bring them money. It's just something to talk about. I think a one loss SEC team makes it if Auburn loses the Iron Bowl but wins the SEC championship game. 1 Loss on the ROAD to the defending national champs is not going to destroy Auburn.

Wins over -
LSU
South Carolina
Georgia
Miss St.
Clemson
Ole Miss
Arkansas
etc. etc.

Boise has.. wins over.. a VT team who lost to James Madison the following week.. and umm a win over... Hawaii, Idaho?? Come on now. Georgia would beat Boise by 30 again this year just like a few years back.

One problem: You're attempting to use logic.

Perhaps a one-loss SEC team should get in over Boise... but the BCS has been tweaked since a two-loss LSU went to the title game in '07... so they won't. There will be at least one Big Ten team and one Big 12 team that will finish with one loss. If AU loses, they will get jumped... and a win over a 3-loss S. Carolina won't get them back into the top 2.

The only thing that will keep Boise out of Glendale is if AU and Oregon finish undefeated.

Both of these statements are dead on accurate as far as I'm concerned. ESPN is responsible for the Boise St hype they created it and they continue to propagate it because they have a vested financial interest in it.

I found this interesting...

A poster at TigerDroppings who's been extremely accurate with his Newton info, says that the FBI actually stumbled across the Newton situation when they were investigating into "bigger fish" with ties to southern universities.

Speculation is that several Auburn boosters (Jimmy Rane, Bobby Lowder, and one Milton McGregor) may have had their cell phone and landlines wiretapped during an investigation of the failure of Colonial Bank, and this may have provided info on Cecil's dealings with AU.

Here's a 10/21 article from the Tuskegee News:

"Fine-Geddie is the premier lobbying group in Alabama with a client list akin to the Fortune 500. The firm’s leaders are Joe Fine, a former University of Alabama trustee and legislator, and Robert Geddie, an Auburn graduate. They’ve cut more deals than a blackjack player and now, according to the Department of Justice, one its key lobbyists, Geddie, has been indicted. He has allegedly been working with the state’s major gambling interests to influence a vote favoring the gambling houses.

A whopping amount of the money flowing to the firm, almost a million dollars thus far, has been paid by the Auburn Athletics/Tigers Unlimited Foundation.

Some Auburn grads, who send in money which goes to Fine-Geddie, now say they want a review of the ties between the lobby giant and Auburn University. Geddie is tainted by the federal indictment and thus is tainting the University, according to concerns voiced in e-mails making the rounds in cyberspace..."

I've decided to join Auburn in the "no comment" stance regarding Cameron Newton. If you have questions or comments for me regarding our previous game or the Iron Bowl I will be glad to take those questions. Thank you.

You might as well. I mean, they are all in now. All the chips have been pushed to the middle of the table. At this point, Auburn will take it's chance to win a NC over breaking any rules or regulations.

Because, just as they have already said around campus, even if they strip us, we still won, if we win it all.

I don't think that AU can beat Oregon if it's a shoot out. And, I definitely do not think that they can beat bama if it's a trench match up. However, if' it's a trench game against Oregon, they win and if' it's a shoot out against bama, they win.

Well that's pretty convenient. Hiding your your collective heads in the ground won't make this situation go away. If guys on an internet forum can find out a bunch of info on this matter, how much more info must the FBI have? I can't wait to see the conclusion to all of this because in spite of AU's contention that Cam is eligible it seems highly unlikely that after soliciting 100s of thousands of dollars from other schools, the Newton's settled on a school that Cam didn't really want to attend for free. I'm no federal investigator but logic dictates that didn't happen. Good luck.

The BCS rankings for the top ten were unchanged from last week although with Boise St jumping TCU in the human polls (thanks ESPN) a win over a ranked Nevada will push them ahead of TCU in the coming weeks. Go Wolf Pack!

From a media perspective in Alabama it seems like the people here think this situation is almost over and Newton is in the clear. I think I pretty much know what happened --

I think his dad had some conversations with people at miss st. about the possibility of it -- then something got heated and he realized it would be too risky -- that is why he told his kid to goto Auburn because he had not had these type of talks with Auburn and Newton would be safe from this trouble there -- Then Auburn and Cam became extremely successful and someone who knew about this stuff at Miss St. wanted to try to ruin him in the media and this is where we are right now.

I have a better idea hOother, you should take the Randy Moss approach. Interview yourself, asking and answering your own questions.

lol. I just got the following invitation on facebook from one of my buddies:

"Like burgers straight from the grill? What about a flowing river of alcohol that only ends in your bloodstream? Of course you do! Join us in celebrating the Hogs final regular season game as they whoop some LSU ass!"

I shall go.

This guy, along with 99% of the country, would disagree with you:

Yes... I'm sure that's it.

Pat Dye is about to go on WJOX with Finebaum if any of you would like a better insight on the situation at Auburn.. and one thing is for certain.. Pat Dye would never Lie!

99.9% good article btw. If Auburn wins a National Championship what happens when sCam is declare ineligible? Is the title vacant?

Yep. Just like what happened to USC version 2005/Reggie Bush. The comparisons are scary.

I really hope that's not the case. But if nothing comes of any of this, do you think Cam stays for his senior year or says "screw it, I'm going to get some legal money"??

If there really isnt anything going on I wouldnt be suprised if he comes back. He is a kid of high ethics and would want a year to show the country he really is the greatest college QB to every play.

Wonder if there is enough money in his hand to buy him a charger like Dre got baught?... A guy from a preppy school holding up his Christmas money compared to a guy from the dirt of Alabama driving around in a new Dodge Charger.. hmmm.. you won't win this one.

Serious question: Was this before or after the UGA lineman took a shot at Fairley's knee? Either way, this is pretty dirty. The end of that game was an embarrassment for both teams.

He did make one hit I didnt like in that game but Georgia was ridiculous the last 2 minutes and it is going to cost us 2 players the first half in the iron bowl. If they go by the "rules", Georgia should be missing 1/2 its team for its next game. It was ridiculous and another reason that Richt should be gone.

Kind of ironic that Terry Bowden blew the whistle on pay-for-play at Auburn back in his 2001 interview. Lowder is one corrupt dude. Interesting read, actually.

Damn Auburn has a football mob family. That is some of the shadiest sh!t I've ever heard. So the NCAA knows all this and Auburn has a football program because.....?

This is a joke right? That's at least 20,000 in his hands. Christmas money from Santa Auburn maybe.

Do you see this kids picture? If they are paying 3 star recruits who look like they are in 9th grade at the local private school then I need to take over the "pay-to-play" and start recruiting some good ones. It is not "20,000" by the way. 8,000 is more like it. Some parents give there children the college money they save for them when they get full scholarships too, btw. With all the impressive athletes that post in this forum i'm suprised noone knew that.

Where is the audio/source? And how is this any worse than the links I posted about the same stuff being said about Alabama? I'm sure you could find this about any team if you look hard enough, or not so hard, considering I just copied and pasted the first few links that popped up in google.

Dude those are stacks of hundred dollar bills. I guess you really want to believe your school is completely innocent in these situations and I suppose the alternative is pretty bleak so for your sake I hope you are right.

Anyone else want me to take 15 seconds to find 100 articles on your school paying players? You guys are acting like a smoker who bitches about other people who smoke and doesn't like being around second hand smoke.

hyp·o·crite noun \ˈhi-pə-ˌkrit\
Definition of HYPOCRITE
1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
— hypocrite adjective
3: the way that rubberring/bucknuts/and everyone else act towards the most knowledgable football source on the AM forum (h0other)

Here is a cute picture of some Ohio State recruits -- For some reason it's easier for me to beleive that little preppy kid could have that money than these guys.. maybe I'm mistaken.

"Nothing to do with this post. Still funny." That is the quote that is directly below that pic. hoother did you see that the photo had nothing to do with Ohio State but still posted it? Most likely you did, you apparently have as much integrity as sCam does. As for the other articles one is from a fan of a rival Big Ten school with no proof of anything at justa bunch of BS. As for Santonio taking money from an agent I would not doubt it the guy is a classless loser with a long history of trouble. Ohio State isn't perfect I know this but there is not the institutional corruption that has apparently been part of the Auburn way for a long time. To quote you Nice try dude but face it you're team is f*cked.

No proof.. alot of BS. I've seen something similar to this somewhere before.. hmm

You realize Cam drives around campus in a 2000 dollar Vespa scooter right? Julio drives around in a Escalade. Dre drives around in a Charger. If we want to talk about "obvious" things then I think it'd be alot easier to look there. The only thing is that Auburn is on top and so is Cam. So everyone is going to direct there attention to Cam and Auburn and not worry about the chic fil-a bowl and whatever bowl Ohio State makes it to participants.

Word around Auburn is that the NCAA will be clearing Auburn by the end of this week from all wrong-doing in the matter. Good news -- War Eagle!
