I personally just eat a whole food meal afterwards and focus on getting my pre and intra-workout nutrition as good as possible.

What i do is unusuall..

i just dont eat carbs,.. ill have some protein. only.. to increase the fat burning potential until next meal.

seem to stay lean doing it that way.

I use malto, and/or ground oats, and lately I've been experimenting with Pineapples since they can help digest the protein.

A great book on pre/during/post workout nutrition is called "The Protein Book" by Lyle McDonald is a must read. This book is amazing and full of research explanation on Protein and carb nutrition around workout.

Go Paleo!

paleo gots its ups and downs, pricey to an extent when it comes to fish. as well as food turnover when you buy in bulk.

if your not eating enough omega 3s then you consume way to many omega 6s.

although i do like the paleo. i like the IDGAF diet better :)

That's certainly a way to keep GH elevated, especially if you used Invalid Link Removed during your training and then supplement with Invalid Link Removed after :D

I started doing this 2 months or so ago and i credit it with helping me lose 18 lbs in that time. Really, unless your an ultra hard-gainer or a competitive athlete who needs to replenish their glycogen stores quickly then you don't need them post workout, at least not in the massive amounts some people take them.

meh I do sugars for pwo carbs- white rice or waximaize mixed with my protien- in large doses- like 70 grams of carbs- this helps to create an insulin spike(i actually feel the effects of the insulin) thus shuttling nutrients to my muscles

I worry about my gh only at night i drink two packets of unflavored gelatin which increases gh output- wicked dreams and great sleep
