DHEA

do u notice any level of suppression taking 100mg/day?

No, none at all. I was taking up to 300mg a day without issues. I do use formestane to keep estrogen levels down.

Also note my age. It will not work as well for younger guys.

Truth, I think most of the positive studies of DHEA was in the 65+ crowd.

Does DHEA convert directly to estrogen or is it via aromatization of other hormones?

It aromatizes into a multitude of hormones.. And the transdermal application is better because it causes the DHEA to convert more to testosterone than any other hormone.. Dont quote me, look on the PP website..

Guys PLEASE think twice before doing DHEA!

I am far from natural and nothing I have taken increased my BP like DHEA. It got me on BP meds and it was really bad.

This is not out of the norm. A lot of guys run into issues from it. I forget the science behind it but its not worth the slight benefits.

Yea I just listened to that podcast! Really informative. I definately think I have some adrenal fatigue because he described me to a T! I tried the LV dermacrine and definately could tell a difference when I was on it. Going to try the transdermal dermacrine now.....the DR. on there said he only used transdermal with DHEA or Pregnenalone! I am only 25 and when I took the derm LV....I was also taking formestane to keep estorgen in check....but my libido skyrocketed! So it helped me! I never had in BP issues but I know EVERYONE reacts differently to supps so good to know what to look out for!

i think this is why Diesel test procycle made my BP so high... never thought it would be the dhea

maybe that too... went from like 122/x to like 155/x and i couldnt get it to go down

Damn. The only thing that increased my bp that extreme was ergomax lmg. That stuff had my bp in the 170s at times (although that was the bp machine at the grocery store)!!! Freaky! I felt like a goddamn beast though. I haven't been brave enough to touch that stuff since then (4yrs ago)

I have no BP issues with DHEA but I take 1 - 2 celery seed extracts a day. My BP was 120/70 this morning. I had BP issues long before I ever started taking DHEA.

celery extract is some good stuff. i wish nutra still had it in stock for 12.99 b/c vitamin shop is more expensive. havnt used it since i messed with prohormones, tho

Well, I was on hrt doses of gear and 50mg dhea a day. BP was 188/88.

I am now on FAR more gear and off DHEA and BP keeps dropping. Down to around 122/65 or so and has been dropping cinsistently.

Michardis got be down to 145/80 then hawthorn and magnesium had me at 135/70 then added coq10 and am even lower.

I take DHEA because I am not on any AAS. You should not need it. How old are you?

There are other reasons to take it when on AAS. Energy levels and sex drive can be directly effected my low DHEA and AAS lower DHEA levels over time

OK. At 54, I know all too well how low DHEA affects energy levels and sex drive.

So despite the reasons to take it, you don't. :ponder: I would take the celery seed and dandelion root to lower BP if you haven't already tried it.

Can't tell your age and you didn't provide it, as you know, the younger you are the higher your DHEA levels will be.

There are reasons to take many things that are not good for you. For ME and several others in my situation DHEA has proven to be harsher on BP than any AAS. I only got into this conversation so that if someone else who starts taking DHEA notices their BP climbing then they might notice the DHEA as the cause and benefit from reading the thread. I have been able to control my BP and feel fine without DHEA so there is no reason for me to force it.

Knowledge is a great thing and thanks for sharing your experience.

And is used to lower BP in Stage 1 HT.

Who makes an OTC transdermal mag supplement?

I use DermaMag. It's good stuff. I notice numerous benefits from its implementation... better sleep, increased libido, better recovery from training and just an increased overall sense of wellbeing.

Thanks, I will check that out. I currently take Magnesium in chelated form with Zinc and notice the difference.
