Big-itis...

So I was on AM in my room when a friend walked in and goes, "God, your either on there, lifting, eating or drinking protein shakes, you have a case of big-itis". He said im the guy that has opposite of anorexia, that when I look in the mirror I see myself smaller than what other people see me as, he called this big-itis. And he said im always doing the above to only look in the mirror and do it all over again. xD.. I thought this was kind of funny. Has any of your buds ever said anything about your lifting habits that could relate to my experience? Ever even heard of big-itis before, because I haven't...?

Could be reverse anorexia nervosa... Where you always see yourself as smaller than you actually are and constantly cram food down your throat.

Also take pictures of yourself. I don't see changes in the mirror, I still think I look like I did 5 years ago. But when I compare pics side by side, I can see the 50lbs I have put on.

Could be, but if this is a real disorder, I luv it hahaha... I love food, and food loves me ;)... And the gym is my home away from home... I cant go a day without at least 500 grams of carbs and because im at the airport I already know today is gonna be one of those days that I dread... Also, dont have a cam, and dont feel like buying one, would cut my protein and food funds low haha..

Yeah, I have heard of it before. It is a reverse order of anorexia. It is a mental instability, to sorts. It does become physical after a point. I doubt you have it unless you are OBSESSED with getting big and continuously go to the extreme, near harming yourself, just trying to be big.

It sounds like to me you just like working out.

Pretty much mate, I loves it! No, I dont actually believe I have a disorder, but I do like getting bigger and stronger, which is only normal for a human being to ever attain.. To reach your potential and beyond...

i doubt u have muscle dysmorphia . its more of a body image disorder where u hate what u see and see urself in the mirror as super small and never good enough. but funny enough in the DSM it lists using anabolics as one criterion for being diagnosed with muscle dysmorphia

Jimmy thinks you have issues.

Muscle dysmorphia can lead to just as many unhealthy behaviors as any other disorder. Many times, the sufferer is unable to see their progress and, instead, only sees their flaws. The actual mental condition breaks down into the same mold as anorexia as they are never fully satisfied with their physical appearance. This usually happens when someone loses sight of the gym as a hobby/passion and morphs it into something much different.

could be worse . . imagine having vagina dentata or even Coprophobia

I have Coulrophobia . . . damn you in hell Steven King!
