Deadlift with Monster Minis? This will require alot of knowledge

ok first of all at my home gym i was doing hang cleans and i was resting the bar on the actual bench. well what my dumb ass didn't realize that the impact from setting it down on the bench would bend my bar and sure enough it did. so now i don't have a barbell i have a cambered bar. I didnt have much of a home Gym just a smith machine where i could put j hooks on one side of it and bench and i would do Deads with chains bench with chains etc. at home and accessory work at the gym. Well now i cant do that. i have to do all my lifts at the gym now, so obviously i cant really care chains into the gym, so im thinking about doing bands. I know how to use the for squats in the power rack and how to set them up on bench press however for deadlift i thought you needed a board to attach the bands for untill i saw this.

at the beginning of the video looks like hes deadlifts by using a monster mini band and just stepping on it? my DL form is just like his meaning the width etc.. so i was thinking bout picking some Monster Minis up off elitefts the link is below.

it says it provides 135 pounds resistance at the top. so if i use them the way the guy in the youtube video is would i need this band? or a lighter one? also if i buy this band should i buy one or two?

id really apprciate some help on this one.

I suppose you could do it but from doing good mornings with bands I sometimes have trouble keeping the bands under my feet. I would invest in the board or get your gym to buy it.

good idea but my gym was golds now changed its name and its aiming to be more overall friendly then bodybuilder or powerlifting. so they wont I do not really have options to switch gyms. There only 13 bucks i might try it out its not alot of money..

DO u think id only need one ml Deadlift max is in the 450 range

not sure. I'd ask them at their Q&A section. They are always more than happy to help out.

Indeed they are. That's why I don't use them.Same with boards.

yea i dont think im going to get them now... I do like boards as an accessory movement. Like in Dave Tates 6 week bench cure. do you do any inline work? and do you feel it carries over to flat barbell bench?

I do do incline work and not as much as I should be doing lately.
Here's a link to the Ed Coan bench workout. He did a lot of incline.

Ive used that with great success in the past actually... I think ill stick with the basic Westside template but make a slight modification

for ME upper body i think ill do
Coans routine except ill do my regular pressing of the floor for me thats pretty much a full ROM except its easier on the shoulders. and Instead of the 3 x 20 for High rep DB benches i will do the 2 x 10 on incline and CG which will be done on regular bench.

so instead of
1 or 3 rep max
3 x 20 DB bench
Shoulder Movement 3 x 8
Tricep movement 4 x 8-12
rear delt 3 x 10-15
rotator cuffs

i will do
2 x 10 Floor press
2 x 10 Incline press and Close grip press
NO Shoulder movement on this day
Tricep Movement 4 x 8-12
Rear Delts
Rotator Cuffs

on DE i will do
8 x 3 speed bench which has been helping me
1-3 heavy singles (obviously ill cut this out when the 2 x 10 above gets lowered. and ill prolly rotate these between floor press and flat bench press
shoulder press 3 x 8
Tricep movement Light
rear delts and rotators

However the DE and ME for lower body works amazing everytime. sometimes i go do 3 x 5 for squats (using wendler percents) but obv. cut out some assistance work then

I've found the mini bands work well with speed bench, if you have the extra money I feel the bands are worth it, great for accessory work too especially raises. Most methods say load the bar with 50% of your 1RM then add bands to increase resistance, might want to try that.

do you have shoulder troubles now?

yea my left rear rotator cuff area hurts a bit when I do the certain rotator cuff work. here is what hurts my shoulder the most in order
Pin Presses
Board Presses
Weighted Dips
and if i train full ROM bench press for more than 3 weeks.

I noticed that rear cable delt raises, shoulder press, face pulls, rear delt work actually helps the pain as well as incline bench. Im pretty sure i had an imblance for benching all the time when i first started to lift and add that with never working shoulders directly and bad Bench form. However now my forms really good thanks to dave tates bench cure.I work rear delts really hard and do heavy shoulder presses 3 x 8 feels good.. I did the routine 1st week from ed coan and it felt really good. only modifcation was 2 x 10 for flat bench i did of the floor and i usually have a 5-15 pound higher press on flat bench then the floor so i put my max in 15 pounds lower... well see how it goes
