free pslin with anabolic pump

OK... So I don't really know what to do. I know it was free, and I'm not really complaining because it was free. But I bought the deal because I love usp's stuff, and the great price. this morning I went to take my pre wo dose and felt the pill rattling around. So I bust out my micro scale, and it shows the pill as weighing 470mg. that includes the cap, So I go and weigh another pill, 475 mg but that one doesn't rattle.

Then I go and open another box of pslin, I bought 5 of these deals, who could resist. and again it weighed440mg.

Again I open another box. the first pill weighed 445 mg. the second and third finally weighed 500mg, and 495mg. They are all the same lot code. 500509 exp. may 2012.

Has anyone else noticed this?
 
it's just the box says they should weigh 550mg, and I know there is always some kind of variance. but they differed by at least 30mg's on all but two I weighed and thats with the weight of the cap....

I disagree. I doubt that there is much if any moisture content directly after manufacturing. If anything, the caps would gain moisture weight.

Can anyone privy to the manufacturing process for capped products chime in?

This is based on the P-Slin powder, but there is a huge difference in a fresh container as opposed to one that has been open 3-4 months. I opened a container and didn't use 1/3 of it. Several months later, it was a rock practically and this was without heat exposure. You also have to remember that USP is based in TX; not exactly known for its brisk weather.

Wouldn't that rock of pslin be heavier due to the increased moisture of the product. Also, each individual capsule is sealed. kinda like when you buy brokaid, or otc medicines. the pslin came in a blister pack.
 
for what its worth tho. as soon as I get my bulk pslin in, it only leaves my freezer long enough for me to get a serving. I find it helps with the clumping completely.

There would be less moisture in the product; it may be more dense, but the weight would still lessen. Even though it is sealed, heat can still reduce the moisture within the cap.
 
okay I can understand and go with you on that, because I trust you know what you are speaking about. but after weighing more. I have 7 here that weigh in the 440's and 450mg's per cap. how can a batch that was produced for the clearance sale be reduced by 50 to 60 mg's in weight in such a short period of time? I live in florida. I understand that it is hot here as well. but my stash is kept in a closed dark hall closet that is the coolest part of my house. (the room has its own ac vent)...

I would think the FedEx truck wasn't exactly cool and I'm not sure of the manufactured date.
 
solid point on the fed-ex point. with a three year shelf life on the product I would assume it was created recently. but we both know what assume means...

but still a loss of 50-60mgs.... thats alot of moisture.

yeah, ok so it weighs a little less . . . is the product working? Try this:

Take 1 cap of PSlin . . . 15mins later 80-100g complex carbs. . . . etc etc :lol:

What Im trying to say is the product still works . . got the same issue, but the potency is still there.

dude, take a chill pill. . . no-one got a SOH down in Tampa Bay? Geez! :dunno:
 
Alright... so I'm taking my night dose of powerfull, which has been open for about a month and a half, I figure I'll weigh that as well, to test the whole loss of mositure equates to loss of pill weight. each powerful pill weighed between 805-820 mg of the 5 I weighed. the label states the powder inside weighs 750mg, which leaves the rest of the weight for the pill cap.

So now I'm really interested. why do all my pslin caps weigh less than the amount listed on the box?
 
ppl always forget to use complex carbs even my buddy,.

All of USP's P-slin is supposed to weigh around 550mg just like thier cissus is a brilliant white powder (not really brown as $hit). Don't get me wrong I used to use their cissus and it did work I use primaforce now just because of the $. I also use Prime from them and I really like it.

I think they also changed manufacturers recently or where they get their raws from but I may be wrong. This could be a problem stemming from the old manuf. or company that sold them the raws.
 
bro i got the same issue a few of my pills weight less then it says on the box. works great but is a lil short on the product.
 
Whether or not the stuff works, I'm with Benj on this. Seems kind of f'ed up that the weight is so off. Luckily it's not a product that demands dosages be controlled to a fine degree.

People should chill on the "stop crying and eat it fool" responses. He's raising a legitimate concern that other USPLabs customers should consider. I personally have AP and P-Slin sitting here, and if I had a scale I'd probably be weighing every cap myself out of curiosity if not exactly frustration. My 2c; good lookin out and good thread IMO.
 
Moisture content dissipates, leaving the powder both less voluminous (takes up less space, rattling in the cap) and lighter (water is much heavier than the powder). This effect is common and does not effect potency. This is a consequence of several factors, including: natural moisture content of the herbal preparation; transport, particularly from India (humid) to TX (arid to semi arid); and storage.

Also, dehydration is to be expected as heat can permeate the container, while moisture cannot.

As mentioned above, this effect will not effect potency or effectiveness of the product.

Bingo!

High quality llagerstroemia is very hydroscopic and in the capsules it loses the mostisture and hardens up into a little pellet.

Short period of time at your house but has been in stored in our warehouse much longer periods.

We never changed our Raw Supplier(or ever will, I believe in loyalty and quality not price) not sure where that information came from.

We have a patented proccess on our SuperCissus and Price wise, ours is better, 120 800mgs capsules.

But use what you feel works best for you.

Please don't take my post as a personal attack towards you. To be quite honest I thought my post was pretty harmless considering some of the posts I have read over the years. I saw more than one USP rep. posting on all sorts of threads that were sitting right next to this one in the USP forum...it just seemed to me this one was being put on the back burner.

Just to be clear I was not trying to bring drama to this forum or this thread and no, I don't think I am a genius. However, I do consider myself an intelligent individual. I also can admit that it wasn't the most gentle post.

My apologies for some reason I thought I read something to that effect (change of manufacturers). I didn't know about the 800mg I guess I have been out of the loop for a while.

Please understand I posted my initial "ignoring" comment because that's how it looked from my point of view...and I know am not the only one that feels that way.

Just as a side note I want to thank you for your timely response after my initial post and hope there is no hard feelings.
