Never got to the gym this morning, woke up at 7am, plan was to get a run in before work at 11. Had trouble getting to sleep last night so i just went back to sleep and got up at 9am.

Got the run in between shifts :) i'll update later tonight after work. Off for a shower then some food!

Just continue to do what you do bud. There will always be schedule conflicts...there are just hurdles you have to jump over to achieve what you want. ;)

Run yesterday. 2.1km in total. Nailed the first 1km in 5mins. Speed was 14km/h for the first few minutes then bumped it up to 17km/h. Stopped after the first 1km and had a rest for a couple minutes then done the 1.1km, a bit slower this time, more slowing to a walk a couple times. Finished off pretty fast. I much prefer short runs sprinting than a long one..guess I’ll have to change that and get used to it!

Also done 90 sit ups and 70 press ups before my run, sets of 20 and 30s.


Motivation is still great. Always looking forward to the next workout. Hours this week are good, pretty much got thurs to Sunday off apart from two 3 hour shifts thurs and sat in the morning.

Libido – way to many dirty thoughts

Appetite – After cardio my appetite was just stupid the rest of the day. I was constantly eating and just couldn’t satisfy my hunger!

I’m also out of Neovar now – after a good 10 months run (I loved the $15 NP sale) I’m missing it already!

I will do legs at some point this week!

Day 23

Woke up this morning thinking it was Friday for some reason! Breakfast this morning was poor, a protein shake and 2 weetabix. Took awhile to get out of bed. Had plenty food for work so I ate most of my shift since it was quiet :) My 12-6 turned into a 12-9 since some new guy decided not to show up. Apparently he has swine flu but was sitting drinking in another pub last night. That’ll be him sacked!

So today ended up being a day off :( was looking forward to upping my 40 lengths to 100. But the pool shuts at 8.

Cals have been good for the day.

Motivation good.

Doms in my abs today and kinda sore legs, heavy like. I thought my abs would be 1000 times worse. Ain’t to shabby!

Managed to get up at 7am this morning! i did wake up at half 5 then went back to sleep thinking i wouldn't get up at 7 but i managed. just having breakfast. 4 weetabix, a banana and a protein shake. I'd prefer oats but weetabix are so much easier to get down when short on time, some raisins too!

Motivation is sky high, looking forward to smashing chest!

Strength – first 4 sets were easy as pie, failed the last rep on the 5th set though. Strength throughout was great.

The workout was just awesome.

Pump – chest and tri’s rock solid when I was done, my arms look soo much bigger when my tri’s are nice and pumped!

Nausea from the alpha-x combined with the rpm stim effect was quite something. Energy was brilliant considering it was 9am and I never workout at this time in the morning. Nice sunny day on the way to the gym as well.

Libido – high

Motivation is high!

I have a spot on my nose…when I try to yawn it hurts and then it cancels the yawn out! Very annoying!

No doms today!

I had plenty to say earlier but now I’m just tired and want to watch buffy.

Day 25

went swimming last night. Managed 85 lengths before the pool shut. really wanted to get to 100 but had no time left :( pretty knackered afterwards!

had two people yesterday telling me i look slimmer in the face/neck and waist :)

bought some new trainers this morning - about time!

Sleep has been dodgy the last few nights, i keep waking up 2-3 hours before my alarm. roughly after 6 hour sleep. really annoying!

All day yesterday it poured with rain, it's still raining. The river next to the gym has burst its banks so there maybe no gym for me :( Good thing i have a membership for two gyms as some of you might of read!

crap thing is though that both gyms are within a few hundred metres of each other.

The one thats closest to the river is still open.. all the cardio machines have been moved out so no running today, i'll see if i'll manage chest in 2 inches of water !

Day 26

If I were to rate my last two back workouts the one last week would be a 1 out of 10 and today’s being a solid 8!

Another brilliant workout this evening.

Strength – Pretty awesome, my grip was slightly crap, sweaty hands. Always mean to get some chalk! 100kg seemed easy on deads, managed to get past 110kg for 4 reps, which I would never do. 5th rep and my grip slipped and failed. Weight up on bent over rows too.

Motivation awesome – I’m going to have to watch I don’t end up over training. I don’t think that’s going to happen, I’m eating tons still :) Diet has been all clean the last 4 days!

I forgot to mention my doms from chest day. Normally it would be a good 3-4 days of pain. Half a day of a slight ache and that was it! I should be in pieces tomorrow after tonight’s workout. We’ll see what happens!

Up at 7am tomorrow, run at 9am then work at 12 till 3. Shoulders in the evening and a proper hammering of the core if I can manage.

3kg of bulk bcaa’s shipping soon, I’ll off load this xtend to a mate I think! Another run on Sunday morning if I’m feeling good. Definitely doing legs in the evening, off on Monday and chest this Tuesday.

I won’t be happy if I don’t manage to run 2miles tomorrow.

4km run this morning

Day 27 Part 1

First 1.1km at 12km/h

Started off great, was going fine then got a stitch so had to stop. Had 4-5minute rest then got going again. 14km/h this time till I got to 1km and the stitch came back again, up to 18km/h for a minute then stopped at 1.1km again.

5 minute break then done 1.8km at 12km/h, walking for 2mins twice. Last minute and a half speed up to 14.5km/h then last 30secs 16.5km/h. took 10mins for the 1.8km.

So 4km in total! Pissed off about getting the stitch though, doesn’t normally happen!

When those happen I just slow to a pace where I'm still jogging, but I'm not walking. Push yourself through those things. They suck but they're gonna happen from time to time.

Nah, just getting used to cardio. I'm in the same boat, learning as I go.
 
Trick when you get a stitch is to keep control of your breathing. Usually when you have to stop it's because you're tensing up and breathing irregularly because of the stitch. If you keep your breathing under control take 2 or 3 km/h off the speed and keep going until you get your second wind and then wind it back on again.
 
Before i got into this lifting heavy things business i used to run cross-countrybelieve it or not so i've got a wee bit of experience on this.

Don't fill your stomach with liquids prior to cardio. The old theories on getting a stitch are that either:-

1. fluids that are slow to be digest are causing the stomach to pull on ligaments that connect it to the diaphragm, or
2. a reduction in the blood supply to the diaphragm, as the blood is needed elsewhere, which leads to the diaphragm cramping.

New research however suggests that as you ran gravity pulls your liver down and as you increasingly exhale the diaphragm pushes up, pulling on the ligaments attached below the diaphragm to the liver, therefore the combined forces give you the 'stitch'.

In terms of helping it, controlled breathing helps, i.e. breathing out for longer than you breathe in (out for 3 steps in for 5, that sort of thing) , but so does pushing firmly just below the stitch, or stop running and touch your toes.

Diaphragm strengthening exercises such as DB pullovers and power breathing are supposed to help as well

Day 27 part 2

Poor shoulders workout on Saturday night, just felt like poo the whole time. got the job done.

Energy throughout the day was good though.

Pump was pretty good

Ended up cutting the workout short after half an hour, missed out the dips and abs.

Day 28

Soooooo it was supposed to be legs in the evening but that never happened. Turned into a day off, felt like crap all day, groggy and low motivation.

Slept till about lunch time, sleep has been poor too

Cals were low and dirty, around 2,500

Day 29

Ended up over sleeping again on Monday. Getting up about 11, woke up around 6am then fell back asleep.

Chest in the afternoon,

6x6 flat
3x6 incline
close grip 4x8
flies 3x6
press ups
some cable pull downs too

so it went something like that!

Strength was good, not as great as the week before but still a slight increase than normal.

My heart sank when I walked into the gym, 4 guys all standing round the weight bench pissing around. Not much room to train with 6 guys there, but they all seemed to move over to the dumbbells when I went in with my buddy :) so got the barbell bench and started on chest.

Pump was awesome, slight sore head near the end of the workout, which has carried on to tues/wed

Day 30


Again I over slept and didn’t get up till about half 12. trouble getting to sleep again and then waking up 3 hours before my alarm and just falling back to sleep.

Motivation rock bottom in the morning. Lay awake for a good 30-45mins just not being able to get up. Started to climb in the evening and into Wednesday back on track!

Not much doms in the chest, just a tight feeling, not an “omg the doms are killing me!” kind of pain.

Outline of a 6pack is visible most of the time now :)

Went for a run in the evening, a poor 2km, calf started to hurt pretty bad, and no stitch this time lol. I wanted at least 3km but had to stop. Went for a swim afterwards, 30 or so laps :(

Libido has been high still. I think it would be pretty insane if I was using Alpha-x, IGF-2 and RPM/Drive lol..

just sliced my thumb open while opening a can of tuna, what a noob! it just won't stop bleeding, maybe its all those fish oils!

no tamiflu - it's so rampant here. . . It's no big deal, just another strain of flu man. And I had it mild. Does take a long time to shake though. :sick:

found out today that one of my ex gf's has Swine flu now. Only person i actually know who has it. There's a pirvate school near me and like 160 out of 600 pupils have it now too. I'm suprised i don't have it yet with the amount of scum bags i have to serve everyday. Actually more likely to get the plague with the minks around here.

Whats the silver do? I've got a bottle of Echinacea, dosing 3x 400mg a day with meals, see if that makes me feel any better.




Run in the morning. Short of time so the run was before breakfast. Felt pretty good apart from my legs hurting like hell. Left calf/shin was just sore the whole time :( not sure on the distance as it was around the park. At a guess I’d say around 1km.

Back/bi’s late afternoon

Strength – Really good, pleased with the workout. Thought the deads would be tough on my legs but they were all right once I got warmed up.

Weight up again on the bent over rows. Down –5kg on the deads but still up from 2 weeks ago.

Pretty tired the rest of the day.

Motivation: good

Mood/Aggression: up and down,

Libido: its like I’m 14 again

Pump and Vascularity: awesome pump from rows, forearms nice and tight after deads. Noticing more veins on my legs and hip area. Legs kinda looking bigger

Appetite: low in the morning, increased throughout the day

Day 32

Woke up this morning, must have been an hour and a half before my alarm, fell right back asleep. Took awhile to get up. Been feeling bloated since last nights haggis neeps and tatties. Stomach discomfort in the evening too. Really noticed the different with not using gut health the last 2 months. Some should come in the mail on Saturday :)

Just a short lunchtime shift today at work. Got home and ate before going for a swim. Almost fell asleep before heading out. Managed 120 lengths of the pool with a mix of front crawl and breast stroke

Mood all day has been crap. All right mood during the swim, mind was nice and clear. Mood got crap again afterwards lol.

So tired when I got home, could have easily just gone to bed and not ate.

Day 35

Day 33 and 34 turned out to be days off, felt like crap most of the weekend.

Sunday day 35 shoulders

Wide grip chin ups 5x5
Dips 15/12/10/8
DB shoulder press 3x6
Arnold Press 4x8
Barbell upright row 3x6
DB rear delt flyes 4x8
Leg raises (forgot how many I done)
3x50 sit ups on the exercise
25 sit ups on the floor
25 weighed crunches

1 minute rest between sets.

Strength – Really good, pleased with the workout. Thought the deads would be tough on my legs but they were all right once I got warmed up.

Motivation: Motivation was good. Low Friday and Saturday.

Mood/Aggression: up and down still

Libido: usual high! Sexual performance is up

Pump and Vascularity: good pump. Veins in my forearms were really popping out while doing Arnold press.

Appetite: pretty good

Day 36

Started Lipo-PM and Gut Health on Sunday night. Bloat is way down since then :)

Top 4 abs showing a lot more now, obliques more cut and visible

Spilt shift on Monday starting at 10am so the plan was for an early run, never happened lol.

Motivation: up and down slightly

Mood/Aggression: crap mood in the morning, pissed off and frustrated. Mood cleared up in the evening :)

Libido: Rammin’ it home like a porn star haha

Appetite: good, cals kinda low in the evening, plenty water all day.

Skin has been really dry lately.

Sleep has been good since starting Lipo-PM
 
Day 37

Another ****ty spilt shift yesterday :(

Run in the morning before starting work at 12.

Started off crap, after 200 metres I just wanted to stop and never run again..

Kept on going and managed 1km without stopping, usually end up stopping after 700metres lol. First 1km was done in 4.30mins so was not bad I thought. After that it did start to slow to a walk, walking at 6km/h then running at 14.5km/h for awhile. After 20mins I’d done 3.2km. The last 2minutes was done at 17.5km/hr. I did manage the 3.2km without stopping fully. I’d just slow to a fast walk so there wasn’t any resting after km’s like last week.

Left shin hurt like hell, if it wasn’t for that I’d have probably kept going. I never had a proper breakfast either, just a protein/wms shake. Good stretch after my run then home.

I think I may have a cold, nose has been runny the last 2 days and back of my throat rough/dry

Energy in the evening was crap, so tired, hour and a half nap in the afternoon.

Motivation: good

Mood/Aggression: mood has been up and down again, good in the morning and low in the afternoon, up again in the evening

Libido: HIGH. All it needs is a chick to sit on my knee and I’m up. Or the wind to change direction.

Appetite: good, plenty water still

Pump and Vascularity: good pump. Veins in my forearms were really popping out while doing Arnold press.

Skin is still really dry :(

I know you’ve all been on the edges of your seats waiting for my next update so here it is!

Day 38 was chest. From what I remember it was a good workout, strength slightly up. 5x5 seems to be working well, increases in weight the last 4 weeks. I’m doing chest again this coming Sunday, that’s 11 days between my last chest workout. Seems like so long ago.

Day 39/40/41 were days off. Started to feel quite ill then I slipped up and ended up drinking all evening :( awesome night apart from the next morning and rest of the day.

Day 42 was back/bi’s. Strength was good.

Day 43 off

Day 44 Shoulders and abs

This workout was awesome, whole upper body just felt pumped and solid. 3 days later and I’m still looking full. Workout came to around an hour and 15mins, which is way longer than I usually do. I finish up just under an hour usually. Dips are getting better along with wide grip pull ups.

Weight is hovering around 175lbs-177lbs at the moment. Cals have been a lot lower than I thought but recovery is still good. Watching my cals more now. Core looking more hard and almost six pack like. The weight I’ve lost seems to be dropping off my waist. Legs are looking bigger which is strange since I’ve not done any weights on them for a good few months, just swimming/running.

Vascularity is way up.

Energy levels lately have been alright

Motivation: after being quite low on days 39 to 41 but it has shot right back up!

Mood/Aggression: better. Really focusing during my workouts making them more aggressive.

Libido: usual high!

Appetite: average. Some days it takes me a good hour to get a meal down me. second day of P-Slin and my appetite seems to be up some.

Sleep has been better. However I can’t seem to sleep for 8 hours straight. Always waking up after 6 n a half.

Started some new supplements yesterday – This is all what I’m running for the next month and into nov/dec apart from IGF-2 which will finish up in the next few weeks.

I'll try get a more detailed update tomorrow after work. Awesome leg workout on friday, looking forward to the next one! I was doing free weight front squats which felt awesome. none of this assisted ****e anymore!

Last night i done legs again after a 1km warm up run :)

Today was a day off. Tomorrow will be a run or a swim. Recovery has been great this week!
