Hey, y'all! Back again!

*GREAT* long weekend - really needed that - and the couple days rest following....

Back in the saddle today, though the camping gear will have to wait: can't dry that stuff out while it's still raining!

Yes. I have been silent up until now, but I had a bout to deal with (Testicular Cancer). My surgery/radiation went well. I am unsure if I am going to continue with my "un-retirement". The choice is mine to make; however, I wanted to see how my body bounces back after this episode. I wasn't around the board for around 6 weeks as much, which this is why. Ike (StrategicMove) has been a great friend that always provided me a firm prayer and comment during this time, so I want to publically thank him.

I was looking forward to my 4th DP. Now I am looking forward to living without cancer.

Oh, Lungz, I had no idea. This put tears in my eyes. I have a good friend who at the age of 25 was diagnosed. His treatment was successful, thankfully. But on the day he got the good news that all scans were clear of cancer, his mom lost her 3rd battle with breast cancer. Sad, sad deal. But that was 7 years ago and he's doing wonderfully well.

I wish you'd let us cover you in prayer as you fought this battle. You are loved and respected here. I will keep you lifted to the Lord with all sincerity, dear one. Let me know if I need to cover anything specific. It will be my honor to do so. May the favor and blessings of God's compassion and healing be yours for life, in Jesus' name.
 
I had my follow up this morning; my Endo thinks everything is working well, and is confident that I will fully recover. I will have to get on TRT, which I am not too upset about. Luckily, my health insurance is very solid, and will pay 90% of the cost. There's no chance of me getting dropped down the line, either; one great perk of serving this Country.

I've survived combat, with the exception of my leg, and now cancer! Someone up-stairs is looking out for me.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I contemplated asking for prayer in the Prayer Request Thread, but at the time, I was embarrassed for some odd reason. I'm over that now, and I try to advocate self-checking and getting routine check-ups with your doctor. It sucks to have, but if you don't get checked, you cannot be treated.

No explaination is necessary, a simple, "pray for me", is all that is needed and it will be done my brother.
 
Well, at the time, I lost my faith. I'm okay now; however, I felt abandoned because of all the injuries, etc that was happening. I posted something about that in the thread, then left. Like I said, I’m good now.

Stay strong bro, you are a champion and you'll pull through this. I have heard people say that every thing happens for a reason and although I'm sure in one way or another that may be true. Like, "he died in a car crash" it happened for a reason, yea, the reason was he was drunk and driving at night at 100 MPH. Ya know what I'm saying here? I think crap happens and it isn't important once it has happened, why it has happened as much as how we handle it. There is some room for hind sight but for the most part, crappy stuff happens to good people and rotten people alike. What makes you the better man is how you handle it. You are already making your future plans and giving yourself to that line of thought. This is what matters. Kudos my man. Heal up.

Morgen y'all! Friday night over here left of the pacific. Almost beer:30. Wife's headin' to Peking soon, so weekends should be more funner. I'll get to hang out with the neighbors and check out the town. Hope it doesn't suck too bad.

The article is someone's biased opinion of him. If you do a little research on the author, you will note that he has a history of talking bad about Jordan. Don't take what someone else writes as the truth; make that choice yourself.
