I'm a Grandpa! Finally!

My daughter was 2 weeks late with her first baby... the first Grandchild. They induced her yesterday, and at about 5:10pm Mountain time, baby Pax was born! 7 pounds 15 ounces, 20" long.

Momma and baby and all are doing very well :)

Congratulations Gramps. Your job now is to spoil that child every chance you get. :)

congrats man, you seem very proud of the little one, Its amazing isnt it, to see something so small and helpless, so precious and innocent, the weight of the world nowhere near resting on her shoulders like it does for us old guys........god I wish i was just a young tyke again! summers lasted forever, playing guns and war was an everyday thing, and there wasnt anything that wasnt fun to do.
 
Congratulations! There is no gift greater than a child, and besides your own children, I am sure the idea of a grandchild must be....grand!

I wouldnt know, I find it hard to fathom an actual child yet. :paranoid:
 
Thanks everyone! I always figured that when I became a grandpa, I would be "old" or at least feel that way, but at 45, I feel younger now than I did 10 years ago. Living sober and drug free, finding a God of my understanding, and getting into shape has done so much for my life it is amazing. Now I am able to appreciate gifts like this.

thats amazing man, happy for you, its amazing how exercicing can almost save lives isnt it, I was a major weed smoker in my younger days....getting absolutely blasted 2-3 x a week ...bei ng hungover all the time....finally I looked in the mirror and said DAMN i HANDSOME, LOL JK, I SAID " you look like sht, this isnt anyway to live" and i walked to the gym, I went for no lie 365 days str8 after that one sobering moent, in hinesight I was making massive overtraining mistakes...but when Im trying to say is i was addicted from day one, and never looked back.,,,might have saved my life to be honest.

Again congrats, life aint so bad is it.

your still a young guy brother, you will find tha prfect lady, just dont try looking for her and she will just be there sooner than later...seems the harder one looks the further away that person gets (in my experience)
