You def. want to take Slim X upon waking, it's a 12 to 14 hour stim.
Stimulant X, on the other hand can be taken pre wo.

Also, SlimX will not provide the rush of a pre wo stim. It's more of an alert, wide awake feeling, like you just woke from a 2 week nap.

sheesh....u wanna hear something funny. Well, i take lean xtreme for preworkout to control cortisol. Anyway, i had a cap of lean xtreme in my pocket....then i threw a cap of slim xtreme in my pocket without thinking....well, they are IDENTICAL in looks. So, i couldnt figure out which one was what....so, i took it. down the hatch. Ill be up all nite if anyone wants to chat.

:)

Haha, that's funny. I had a few caps of HX2 and MFX melt in my pocket once, made a mess.

You know, blocking cortisol pre wo is not a good idea, your body uses cortisol to produce energy. You should take LX post wo.

really! Ive always heard that cortisol is at its highest in the morning...preworkout and postworkout . Ive also seen countless threads and logs about people taking it pre. Hmmm

thanks

Cortisol is highest upon waking, then it peaks again 4 hours later, and post wo.
You do need to take BCAA though, otherwise the cortisol will rob it from your muscles.

thanks jim. My preworkout cocktail is usually the following :

green mag
10g leucine
2scoops purple wraath (~15g BCAA)

I think i will stop taking lean xtreme preworkout and do what you said (and what i used to do actually)....

1 cap upon waking
1 at lunch
1 at bed (on non workout days)
1 PWO (on workout days)

thanks bro

ps.....I took the SLIM XTREME before workout. Had absolutely one of the most amazing workouts in a while. Seriously. Might have been placebo, but man, i felt great.....terrific. very focused and determined to say the least. I could have lifted 2 more hours.

SlimX is a strong-assed stimulant. I don't doubt your workout kicked ass.

There's really no need to take it pre-workout, though. It's a time-releassed formula. The effects peak after about an hour, and hold it there for hours. Naturally, this is why it's best taken first thing in the morning; otherwise, you won't get any sleep.

I might also add that cortisol plays an important role in workout performance: it's an energy source!! Taking an anti-cort pre-workout is going to take away from this energy source, and limit your strength/endurance. Moreover, during a grueling weight training session requires a lot of anaerobic energy, which there's not enough time to burn any fat (you're drawing energy too damn quick). It's the heavery EPOC after your workout when fat is going to be burned, moreover, this is when cortisol is no longer useful. I would recommend taking your Lean Xtreme post-workout.

thanks thesinner. Well, i ordered this cutting stack and will be starting it on monday. I have heard great things about the combination of TTA/forslean/sesathin , ETC.....so i came up with this

Forskolin (work up to 100-150mg/day)
TTA (1g - split into 2 doses) (im reading alot of info saying up to 2-3g/day?)
Alpha-Y ...aka... ALPHABURN
EGCG (1g - split into 2x/day)
RK (500mg - split into 2x/day)
Sesathin (3-5g/day)

would like your input.

I never quite understood the concept behind Sesamin and TTA. They function through the same mechanism.

Personally, I would just drop the TTA for safety purposes. There is evidence that long term side effects could occur, which have not been too well characterized. I would drop that and the RK, and trade it for some CLA.

I really like the synergy behind CLA and Sesamin. Remember that sesamin just causes more FFA's to be released from fat cells: it doesn't necessarily burn them! CLA helps to channel redeposition.

Lastly, I would throw in some ALA and Vitamin C, if you're not already taking these as staples. In the case where we are trying to burn fat at a faster than usual rate, the onset of free radical production is going to go crazy. Some good anti-oxidants are crucial. Nixing on this is going to lead to accelerated aging, and that sort of defeats the point of looking thin when you start looking thin and old.

So dude, what time did you finally get to sleep?

i have no clue. it was just an extra text i have for some reason in my bookshelf here. Read the chapter on nomenclature of alkanes and cycloalkanes. Then i went nite nite.

Learning the IUPAC system, huh?

That'll put you to sleep better than any sleeping drug ever could.

Yea, i guess you could say i was learning it. I actually teach high school Chemistry, so i was just reading just to try and learn something new i guess. I already teach the IUPAC system to my students.

Well, when you get into the larger molecules, the IUPAC system starts to get a little bit more challenging. Testosterone is (8R,9S,10R,13S,14S,17S)- 17-hydroxy-10,13-dimethyl- 1,2,6,7,8,9,11,12,14,15,1
6,17- dodecahydrocyclopenta[a] phenanthren-3-one and yes, I had to look that up.

I did not know you were a chemistry teacher. Let me know if you're ever looking for cool experiments to show your students. I have many.

Experiments...blast away. I do quite a bit of labs throughout the lab. Just recently we titrated the molarity (concentration) of household vinegar (acetic acid) by the use of NaOH (base). Obviously, a buret and the whole works was used and the students really loved it and nearly all of them nailed the concentration of the vinegar in their labs

What'd you use as the indicator? Just phenophthalein?

My favorite titration I've ever done was standardizing metal ions with EDTA. Obtain arbitrary copper or nickel sol'n. Add NH4OH, until a pH of about 11 is obtained. Solution turns from green to a deep blue. Add Murexide indicator (ammonium purpurate). The solution will pick up a little bit of orange color. Titrate with EDTA. The endpoint is a really cool purple color. I do this multiple times every day at work. You could go one step further, and determine the zinc and copper content inside a penny - Just throw it in some HCl. ZnCl is more soluble and has a lower oxidation potential, so all the copper will dissolve first, but then the zinc core will dissolve, causing reduced copper to precipitate out. It'll be fun to watch, especially when the zinc takes over -dissolves like crazy, and any undissolved penny-bits will float to the top. Remove the copper (centrifuge or filter), redissolve in acid, and perform the titration experiment. How much copper is in dat dere penny?

Another thing which would be pretty neat is a Graeztel Cell. It's a type solar cell which uses titania as a photocatalyst to mediate the iodine redox.

I do a lot of work with wet-phase redox, analytical chemistry, "smart" materials, and electrochemistry.

You know those gas exhausts, light it on fire. Gives a nice torch appearance :D Also I recall dousing a $50 Cdn bill in Methanol or something, and burning the alcohol off and leaving the bill intact.

Ahh nomenclature, nothing like figuring out 4 or 5 orientations to give just one bloody name.
