Well ill be on within the next year, hopefully I can get bloodwork to show how cholestrol and hormones can return fine afterwards, then I can show my own bloodwork to show just how harmless these things are...I honestly dont see how any argument can be made that steroids are bad for the heart, they are bad for your arteries but are nothing in comparison to the typical high fat diet employed by most of the public...
 
Anyway on another completely random note, What do you guys feel about obama? is he living up to his promises from an american viewpoint? he seems to be bloody good from what i see reported, but im watching from across an ocean, I would certainly love to hear you guys more informed opinions.

A right to opinion is usually translated as a right to see it my way or you're a clueless douche, but my icons are a general sentiment of mine and I'll stop it at that.

I second that...he is a SoCal conservative shill. He is busy killing off a whole bunch of essential services that CA cannot afford to cut.

I think CA should legalize mj and tax the sh** out of it. The rest of the country couldn't be too far behind (at least the west coast states) and the recession would be over in a cloud of funny-smelling smoke :icon_lol:
 
okay to everyone:

steroids are cholesterol. your own steroidal hormones (that your body produces) are cholesterol so by theory your pumping your body full of cholesterol, and most steroids (some acceptions like winnie) in high volumes make your hdl and ldl levels sky rocket.



on obama, what he's doing goes against my political views and beliefs. I didn't vote for him, and i wear my noboma sticker on my car proudly. however he's our president and i just hope the economy gets better. I'm not a tree shaker, i'm a learner, a teacher, and an exister, complain about oboma much here and your shakin trees.

I am not anti-obama but I would have rather had ron paul in the white house. that would be real change.

um well dubya wasn't dumb...he was a bad public speaker, and a pretty typical texan (even though he was born in connecticut) in his actions and body language. The man graduated from yale and got an mba at harvard (not slouch schools) he was also president of one the most prestigous frats. You can't thank his daddy for all that, (popularity??) he did it all before his dad was even vice president. He was also a jet pilot for the national guard flying these:Invalid Link Removed


mentally, the man is all there, and he's quite brilliant. he however made some bad decisions in office, some that will in time turn out good, and some that were just bad.


However, going to the most recent election the guy who had my support didn't win the party popularity contest (mitt romney) I didn't like mcain or obama but i felt like mccain would do less to screw us up long term. I'm afraid some of the things obama has done are really going to set us back.

it's all good bro, we can agree to disagree...I come from California originally and tend to be much more social-issue liberal, economic conservative and all-around libertarian. I don't care what party a politician comes from as long as they do a good job and are accountable for their actions (very rare).

i thought we did :) dispensaries stopped getting raided by the feds as of march. mj is in a weird place right now though, because of a few doctors that practically "give it away" when anyone asks for it.

yeah they are already taxing it through the clinics. anyone who is a "stoner" has at least one or two "stoner" buddies that has a license and he picks up bud for all of them at the clinics. cali IS taxing it!

Notes: set some new high marks since coming back.

B.P.- 225 x 5 sets of 3 215 x 2 sets of 8 - (5 sets of 225 x 3 a best since coming back)
Skull Crushers-80x 2 sets of 8 and one set of 6 and a half. tri's just gave out and i almost made the name of this exercise come true. 70x 1 set of 6 again tri's gave out but i was ready this time.
Incline Bench-135 x a hard 8 115 x a hard 8 95 x a hard 8. by the time i got here i was just whipped. it was defintely hard. but incline bench is always especially hard for me.
Side Raises, front raises-both 4 sets of 8-10 with 40's
bent over side raises-30's by 4 sets of 8

did some foam rolling on my legs. stretched and headed home. time for lunch.
 
Today: my version of suicide leg day.


Box Squats: 225 x 12, 345x 3, 335x3x 315x4, 315 x 4 went directly into regular squats 225 x 12 x 4 sets.

Front Squats: 135 x 4 sets of 12. I almost piled on more weight after the first easy set but i'm glad I didn't the last 2 sets were brutal.

Walking Lunges:55's x 4 sets of 8 on each leg.

Lying Leg Curls: 80 lbs x 4 sets of 10

Calf Raises-single leg 300 lbs (machine weight) x 8 x 2 both legs 400 lbs (machine) + 45 plate and two 35'sx 3 sets of 16.

true; I know many people who have scrips.

with the scrip issue it limits the market a bit too much to really collect enough revenue tho.
 
Today: Back

I was rather uninspired during my workout. I couldn't get into at all, I felt quite...weak. I almost took today off...Instead I went there and got what I could done...

Single Arm-1 plate by 4 sets of 12 on each arm
both arms- 3 plates and a 25 for 4 sets of 8

D.B. Curls 55's x 4 sets of 8

Wide Grip Lat Pull Downs (behind head)100 lbs (machine) x 4 sets of 8

my diet hasn't been exactly up to par the last...3ish days so i'll work on fixing that and see what happens. Tomorrow is an off day.
 
Don't let it get ya done bud, happens to the best of us!! I usually have an off day, but the next time I work out after that is always killer for some reason.
 
meh...my wednesday off days don't usually provide much oomph. my saturday ones...now those are fun...usually because my chest day is sunday though :D
 
hey natty do you take cratine? i just got off my creatine and i was expecting to lose like 4-5 lbs and i actually gained a pound after a week of being off creatine. isnt this weird? like shouldn't i lose water weight?

time to get me back in the game. I am starting riptoes starting strength powerlifting scheme tomorrow. I think I may drop squats one of the days though.... my squat flies up when I do it 3x/week, but my knees cant handle it at all.
 
Today: upper body

Incline Close Grip D.B. Presses-70's x 8x3
flat bench flyes- 35's x 8x3 i've never done flyes flat on a bench before, so this was actually pretty painful. like...stretching a muscle that has never been stretched.
One Arm D.B. rows: 75's x8 x 4
Ez Bar Curls- 90 x 8 x 4 I've had to switch to ez's because the arthritis in my wrist has been getting really bad. I shattered my wrist when i was 12...it's hurt ever since.
Close Grip Pull downs-130 x 8x4
Standing Tri Presses-85 x 8x4

Today is supposed to be...well idk what it's supposed to be but the plan i've been following basically goes like this-3 days a week are designated specifically to body parts (leg day, chest day, back day) then an off day, then an upper body day where I mix the two but do lower weights with more reps, then a leg day where I work on a lot of balance things (one leg squats, bosu ball squats, stuff like that). I feel it's been working very well.
 
Sounds good natty, I only wish I had the time to spend in the gym like you do.

I wonder how it will work out for you with that kind of split.
 
it's more of a football training routine....


well today i had to mow my yard...well my mom and i mowed it...she rides the riding lawn mower, i use the push mower or the edger. well her mower kicked up a rock and sent into the space between my hair and my left eye...just about knocked me clean out...it hit me and i started wavoring then sat down. now i have a fantasticly sized purple welt hahaha....
