finastride quacks?

I'm not sure if this goes into the right section, but I've been reading up on finastride/propecia lately. Some people say their fine, some are accusing the propecia of totally ruining their lives?

Im mainly talking about the propeciahelp.com website. Some of them have really reported extreme cases of side effects. Im just curious to see some of the AM members who may have taken finastride, how they took it (on cycle/off cycle) and any side effects that were "permanent"

Over on the propeciahelp site, some people have blamed their whole life for being screwed up due to propecia. What do you guys think. Ive been searching around and It seems people either are okay with it, hate it or dont want to risk it, but never have I seen so many people blame their entire lives being ruined due to this drug.

I used it for about 9 months and experienced no problems at all.

With some research you should be able to find some official statistics on the side effects.

after you stopped did you experience any type hairloss?

Some of the guys on the propeciahelp website said, they lost their libido, felt mentally fogged up cramps, pains and one thing some of the members said was that their hair stopped falling out. Some said it fell out even faster than before. Research is hard as hell, when you have all these people reporting different cases.

I found I shed less hair when using it and didn't experience any side effects, but I eventually gave up and decided I'm not going to be on a medication for the rest of my life just to retain my hair.

Stay FAR away from finasteride!!! If you value sexual health.....

I have been on propecia for 1 week so far 1mg a day. Have noticed no sexual loss in anyway. Friends of mine who had been on it for 3 months suffered no sexual side effects. Other friends of mine who had been on it for 3 years suffered no side effects. In regards to cycling I have not been on it while cycling yet. However I plan on running an Hdrol/tren combo or a havoc cycle in the coming 3 months

Studies show 2 out of every 100 men have sexual side effects.

by studies, you mean the ones that are conducted by merck?

I was browsing through the propecia help forum and a study they pulled out said it was more like 25% of the people get sides. But then agian, these people are the people who got screwed over by it, so it's likely their tone is a bit biased as well.

lowered my sex drive. had me fatigued easier. muscles felt less hard. D!ck didnt get hard. volume was down. the hair regrowth was fantastic though. alll sides went away within a month of discontinueing......the new hair fell out in a few months. i think that messing your whole life stuff is bull. but it does have pronounced side effects and i dont recommend using it.

How long until you notice hair growth? Were you also on Finastride during cycles? If so which compounds

results for me within a month. i had a log of it a while ago in the picture forums idk if its still around. if your a dead set of keeping your hair use it. it may stripp from your gains though and give your a broke ****. on the bright side when i was on finasteride i didnt think about sex 24/7 so i was clear headed.

i use it for 4 years ,in the beginning I felt a libido decrease and some sexual side effects:irked: but nowadays everything normal , for people who value their hair and are prone to mpb a must IMO

I have been on propecia for a little over a week now. How long did it take for you notice any results from finastride? Have you taken finastride while doing any cycles?

I have seen this question come up quite a bit- and there is pretty basic physiology behind this- DHT is the main androgen in your central nervous system- your CNS does not work correctly w/o DHT- testosterone is a prohormone to DHT in the CNS, if that gives you any insight....get rid of DHT by taking finasteride, get rid of optimal CNS activation- I have seen this happen time and time again with myself, and a TON of other people.....

I made some blood tests a couple of years after I began finasteride and my test and dht were above the upper limit, it was a surprise for me , particularly the dht value so I believe your body can respond up regulating test when it senses a reduction on dht.
so in my particular case why not take finasteride?

I agree. I think most of the side-effects that manifest from Finasteride use are the result of improper and inconsistent blood panels. Altering your DHT levels can adversely affect the biosynthesis of your entire sex-panel, and thereby have secondary and tertiary effects on sexual desire, function, muscle function and so on.

Finasteride, like most sex-hormone altering products, can be implemented successfully; however, and again much like its cousins, the line of successful v., unsuccessful is thin at best, and easily disrupted without the supervision of an intuitive Endo., Its extremely long half-life also predisposes it to difficulty in dose alteration - making the identification and correction of side-effects even more conspicuous and difficult. Often times, the onset of sexual side-effects is the resultant of several weeks of serum build-up, and a quick and rapid change of dose will most likely exacerbate symptoms.

Unless one is an experienced user and/or using under the supervision of regular blood-panels, severe [sexual] side-effects may emerge. In my opinion, one should pursue aggressive topical therapy prior to engaging in unsupervised Finasteride use. If one feels the necessity to use a DHT-inhibitor, a topical option such as Spironorlactone may be a better option, as it is localized if used properly.

have you noticed a decrease in libido?

No. Not at all. Libido is exactly the same if not higher at times when I see a lady with a nice behind.

Hey guys...I have been on propecia for 3,5 years, no sides, no change in libido whatsoever.

Paused finasteride during a 4-week Methyl-1D + Masterdrol cycle just in case it could prevent any growth. Was that a wise thing given finasteride's half-life ?

Now I am on a PPlex cycle, bridging into SD in 3 weeks. I am taking 2mg of finasteride with this cycle and I hope it won't shed my gains. Any hints on that ?

They say Superdrol is supposed to be safe on the hairline, (Heck, if it is, that's the only thing it's safe for cause it's like rat poison IMO)

I think you made a smart move though. Im not sure if superdrol or PPlex inhibits DHT through 5AR, but if it doesn't and your losing hair, propecia won't prevent the hairloss. Hairloss is still pretty mysterious, I do think you made a smart choice in terms of dropping the propecia, but if your on propecia, it probably means your proned to MPB so you may/may not see shedding on PH.

Dropping the propecia should be fine I think. Heck, if you shed, I don't think you can do anything about it.
