Do You Have A Band-Aid? KgTomCat's CUT Log

I think you should just do it instead of continually asking for an opinion.

It's like you are speaking to him firmly through the computer.

LOL... Timber is going to answer you curtly in bold now... :toofunny:
thanks T-Lake, thanks GMG

not to report...this weekend was really chill, did 16 minutes of HIIT this morning, felt great after, diets been clean, except for tonight, went to Olive Garden (cheat meal) but it was chicken, shrimp, pasta, marinara sauce, not too bad

That's not such a bad cheat meal, especially without dessert.
thats what i thought too, it was just ALOT of food...I couldnt even finish it all, I guess thats why I felt like it was a cheat meal. im thinking about going to 12 11OXO ED for the last bottle...gonna sleep on it

diet for today...
post morning cardio=1/2 cup of oatmeal,1 apple, 1 scoop whey
snack-salad w/egg whites, 1/2 wheat bagel, 1 glass skim milk
lunch-protein shake, Light Muscle Milk
post WO-protein shake, 1 banana, 1 piece of wheat bread w/2 tbsp sugar free jelly
dinner-fillet of fish
snack-protein shake

That's alot of shakes bro! What's wrong with some meat or veggies?

Do you live in the dorm and eat at the cafeteria?

I think you could eat more Tom... you probably need more protein and I would try to get it from a whole protein source. Try canned tuna. It's uber cheap.

and full of sodium...i live in the upper-classmen dorms, and i do eat in the cafeteria when i can. i dont have a job, no one around here is hiring, in order to eat at the cafeteria you need a meal plan, i cannot afford one. ill try to eat more...ill log it

There is low sodium tuna... Money is right, its a good cheap protein a few times a week. Sodium shouldn't be a concern for you - since you're doing plenty of cardio... If I have one concern with Tuna - its the mercury.

I thought the low-sodium was more expensive. Looks like I need to go to Kroger, I going to pick up some flaxseed oil

im in college remember? no money

Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up the bus. How much does your meal plan cost? Now let's flip it around... how much have you spent on supplements? Just going off the list you posted on the first page I estimate around $350. Your H-Drol run in the fall probably ran you about $275. There's $625 right there you could have spent on groceries over the last five months. Please tell me you're not an Econ major....

meal plans run any where from $350 (but they're practically nothing) to $1500 (which are the best). For supps...I have someone who works at vitamin shoppe and GNC, to get into the cafeteria you can have someone swipe you in, but you only have a selected number of swipes. but Im getting by

They are right, food should come first... however I go through 625 bucks in about 3 trips to the supermarket... for me... well, it wouldn't get me all that far over the course of 5 months.

Very true, but that's just over what KG's posted. You can guarantee more is spent.

OK, don't get the meal plan, save your money, stop buying every stupid supp and get a Sam's Club membership for $30. A 6.5lb bag of frozen chicken breasts is $13. That's just one example.

You won't make all of the gains you can by drinking shakes. You needs whole foods; chicken, veggies, etc.

Unless your friends are stealing from the companies they work for, you still have to pay SOMETHING for this stuff; even if they discount it down to what online pricing is...

Actually I believe that the employees at Vitamin Shoppe get a pretty rediculous discount.

But he is right Tom, if you really want this cut to go the way you planned it, you'll start focusing on building a diet plan that you can afford. I don't think too much is off in your diet plan, just buy some frozen chicken, brown rice, canned tuna, and wheat bread. Seriously dude, 100 bucks goes a long way when you keep it simple... which is the easiest way to cut. If you spent some money on some whole protein... frozen chicken for example, you'd be a lot less hungry, and would have a pretty good protein to carb ratio. I think one of the reasons you have been so tired lately hasn't been the lack of carbs, it has just been the lack of food in general. You are big guy dude, and you are eating pretty light, even for a cut. Work your way down to eating super light.

You gotta post more.

Honestly... I wish I had your access to food. I might make a couple extra bucks, but like MOney said - you can get some serious food for 100 bucks. I pay 7 dollars a pound for chicken, but I still make it work. Tuna cans cost me 3 bucks....

The more supplements I try, the more I realize how useless most of them are. Feraguno might be a pretty nice PH - but you could get identical results without it... Its not like you're conceivably aiming for 3% here.

Yikes! Like I mentioned, if there is a Sam's Club near you, get a basic membership for $30. Their 6.5lb bags of Tyson frozen chicken breasts for $12.99 are a great deal!

Yeah, my girl is in Jersey. I take trips out there once a month to Costco to stack up. My freezer is pretty small though. I finally bought one about 6 months ago, but its seriously only about 3 cubic feet... So I just stuff it full. But when that runs out, its over the the grocery.

I love Walmart and Costco...

yes guys, i know whole food is better than any supplement, im slowly and painfully learning this. we have BJ's Wholesale, the place is ridiculous. A one year membership is $50, ill prob get one soon. I have some frozen chicken and fish. Ill get some tuna when i go out again. I have a ton of oatmeal and some brown rice, a few cans of veggies, some wheat bread and all natty PB. I could be eating more whole foods, its just hard not to rely on protein shakes and grabbing something small on campus, its so convenient, but yes, if i do want to make this cut good then ill have to switch to whole foods. I just had 1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1 banana, a protein shake for my pre WO meal, going to do legs in about an hour...

I take in at least 50% of my protein from shakes.... I think that's acceptable. Just want to mix it up with types of proteins - and whey doesn't have a full amino acid profile... Soy on the other hand.... or egg... and of course any animal protein is going to give you a much better profile... 50% is cool, I just wouldn't deviate too far on the + range there.

PS - if you're looking to trim calories, keep that banana for post workout. That will spike your insulin response just like the white bread you love so dearly.

LOL... to be honest I ate 4 slices of white bread on my first MMV2 M1D cycle. It was because I got a free bottle of SLIN with one of my bottles of M1D, and I tried putting it to use. I think it worked.

Slin changes the availability of those fast digest carbs.

I know, worked pretty well.

Actually...

Tom - Have you ever used Anabolic Pump? It pretty much requires you to eat carbs... you might like it for your cut.

i tried ap a while back, i noticed absolutely nothing from it. i almost doubled my carb intake on a cut to make it work and after about a bottle of it i realized i just got fatter. ive read that the people who dont respond to ap respond better to pslin but something about that reasoning seems flawed. maybe just try when ur bulking/eating normally to gauge its effectiveness.

bump...i tried it for about a month, had everything done perfect, did nothing but make me feel really bloated and gained a good amount of weight, I dont believe in the 'carb blocker' 'nutrient partitioner' craze
