Novedex Rumor - Maybe Banned?

Anyone hearing any rumor about Novedex? I've got an eBay supplement store and I am hearing from a few suppliers that the FDA is looking very closely at Novedex. Novedex is similar to 6 OXO which was the products that recently got two MLB baseball players suspended for 50 games.

I was wondering if anyone else in the supplement community has heard this...

Yes Gaspari Novedex XT. My suppliers are telling me Gaspari won't be shipping anymore until the FDA is finished with their research...unless they ban it, then it's gone.
 
Arrggh! I really don't care too much about Novedex XT, but if the chemicals in it are banned I'll be upset...But honestly, if Novedex is banned, where will it stop? This is soooo stupid. I'm so sick of this increased government BS.

Say goodbye to the America you once knew. I predict capitalism will be nearly non-existent within the 2nd year of Obama's second term.

Not to turn this thread political, but this has been going on long before Obama was in office. It does suck though.

The government really does know what's best for us. I mean why be able to put what you want in your own body. That's just ridiculous.

They certainly are on to something there. I mean really, utter nonsense. So a 5 year old and a 35 year old should be taking in 2000 calories a day?

As for the Novedex, that's just dumb. Period. There are much more important things in the world, the usa, hell - in my f*cking backyard that SHOULD be more important to our elected officials than some gym rats not hurting anybody. They talk about the integrity of the game (baseball,) I challenge the integrity of the "esteemed public servants" in Congress.

i thouht they were taking 6oxo not novadex?

nontheless i thinks its f'ed up that the MLB can govern what we take. these were also on the list of products gay ass whinny baseball players CAN'T take! if i had a multi million dollar contract on the line you'd bet your ass i'd ask before i'd take an asprin!
 
I used to be a big anti-gov-involvement in supplementation. Then more and more of this "tainted" bullsh*t came out recently, and I'm switching my viewpoint.

I find it funny that no one b*tched when the FDA got involved and recalled Venom because of its contamination with Meridia (a potent pharmaceutical stimulant).
 
so novedex xt and 6-oxo are going off the shelves? was planning on using 6-oxo in a cycle very shortly better order now
 
Luckily there are products like Stoked! and Blue Gene that are all natural and do basically the same thing (limit estrogen, and boost test.)

Although I've always been a fan of ATD
 
I'll be glad when all supplement companies must follow a strict GMP standard. Getting tainted supplements that you think are healthy for you, may be destroying your body. I've read numerous reports of high levels of metals being found in healthy Omega Fats. It's out of hand, and we need intervention.
And if you want to make political statements and say this country is, "going down," then you may need to find a new home. I'm tired of the cry baby's that have not done a fukcing thing for this country but piss and moan.
I guess you think that you can Govern the Masses better? Pffft.

Two different issues. As an Australian I find the FDA standards in America rather remarkable: the fact that people can list prop. blends so that we don't even know what dosage of substances we are taking;
It seems testing is really entirely up to the manafacturer;
A lot of substances seem to be released without any real understanding of MOA or possible side-effects.

However, banning a substance due to a baseballer pulling a false negative is just silly. There's a big difference between common sense and simply quality assurance procedures.

I don't think this country's going down, well maybe financially. :006: I like it here.

My only concern is the countless other things that we could/should be dealing with instead of constantly banning supplements. Do I think there should be Third Party or FDA laboratory analysis of substances for ingredient accuracy in the supplement industry, absolutely. Strict GMP standards would be great, but if it drove the prices up too high it could have a crippling effect on the industry.

It's as though they're going for the 'easier' legislation targets so that when reelection time comes around they have more notches on their poltical belts. "I'm Joe Schmo and I'm a doer, look at my record, vote for me!"
 
The FDA always claims its our best interest for things that line their lobbyist pockets. Its just like every part of our gov...****ed. Land of the free my ass... people act like what our country once stoof for is what it is today. Open your eyes and just like Irish said...watch this party close. Im not eitehr party Im just saying its about to get micro managed big time...thats what liberals do. Among other things...

It's been the same since we have had the (mostly) 2 party system. I personally welcome any change from George W. Bush... republican or democrat. Anything to get that intellectual infant out of the white house.

But I do agree with the fact that if you think this country is going to hell in a handbasket, maybe you should do something about it, be proactive... or move to France with all the other pussies.

I can ensure you that things are being worked on that are far more of great concern behind closed doors. What we do in the public is just a 0.00000000000001% of the things on the , "To Do List." It may seem that the Government is coming down on Supplement Companies, and you're right. Don't you want to be ingesting exactly what the label says? Or would you rather just take the chance?

So are you saying that you think its a smart move on the government to be banning novedex xt and 6-oxo, that you feel most people take this thinking its ok and healthy but they really are not?

That has nothing to do with what he is saying.

He is saying that this stuff should be legal, it should just be regulated so that you get what you are paying for, and ingest what you think you are ingesting.

IE: Certain supplements have been released and we have come to find out that it has either a steroid or a stimulant in it that is not on the nutritional label, or just all the dirty clones of steroids that are out these days and released by fly-by-night companies.

I don't care about Gaspari, but I do care about ATD. It is useful and pretty much harmless when used properly and compared to other stuff that is legal.

How about a ban on HFCS? That sounds much more logical to me.
 
Rumor to any of my knowledge. Probably not far from the truth though since 6oxo was blamed by an MLB baseball player as what caused him to piss positive for performance enhancing drugs. 6oxo was probably the furthest thing from what he was taking... Kinda like how McGuire blamed everything on Andro. :lol:

Yeah freaking right those guys were using Andro. It's just their way of throwing all of us under the bus because they don't want to get busted with the real stuff. It's just easier for the investigating parties to go, "oh, ok, this is what you were on? Well, lets ban that." Rather than actually figure out what metabolites were in their bloodstream.

As far as bans go, everyone thought Pplex Furazadrol and bold??? I forget the third compound... were gonna be gone last June. They are all still here.

Gaspari might stop producing products with ATD, but everyone else... who knows.

You missed my general point. Whether it was because of poor quality control or purposeful placement of unlisted ingredients (who knows if this happens or not) I don't really care anymore. Too much sh*t has been happening in the highly unregulated supplement industry, and I think it needs to stop.

If a baseball player fails a drug test because of an OTC supplement, how do you know that it isnt actually tainted with something? Like Restore was purported (unverified) to be contaminated with 1-AD and 4-AD. Is the OTC supp that threw the failed drug test actually creating a false positive? Or was there something else in it because it is unregulated?

Thats my point.

My point is that quality control measures need to be in place - bottom line.
 
That will be absolutely retarded if they take it off the market. It is definitely one of the highest quality products that you can get over the counter for a post cycle and one of the best products period
 
IMHO Novedex deserved to be pulled out of the market a long time ago just for it's name and the confusion it brings with the real Nolvadex brand and purpose. Some say it was marketing genius by gaspari but i say it's totally irresponsible.
