the less sh*t they say the better.

I find it seems to help me focus on reading and studying, but, I don't know what's good!

Are you saying Techno as a generic statement for electronic music or do you mean techno? I don't want to start throwing out Trance names when your looking for house DJ's etc.

Mostly a generic statement for electronic music.

Not sure though. Not too familiar with techno.

Some of those links offer downloads, some don't. I can sit here and type names for hours for you. They are kinda random because they are just popped into my head. Wish you were close to DC, I would just let you take all mine off my hardrive.

It is odd that no one mentioned BT, or Tiesto. Oakenfold is a retard haha! I like them okay, but I am not a big fan of techno. BT is a damn genius though.

Ha, I am a club dj and have hundreds of thousands of tracks. If you are a 'newb' to electronic music and techno, you may want to check out some of the more energetic popular trance and house dj's out there.

Try:
DJ Micro (one of my fav's)
Paul Van Dyk
Ferry Corsten
Tiesto

A little heavier:
Christopher Lawrence
Nicholas Bennison
Freq
John 00 Fleming
Max Graham

And Progressive House/Trance: (what I spin)
Pole Folder
Sasha
John Digweed
Hernan Cattaneo
Dave Seaman

Most of these dj/producers go for a more musical approach, as opposed to just some chick belting out lyrics of lost love lol. The top ones I listed are pretty mainstream, the middle list is generally a darker, harder style of trance, and the last list is the more elaborate, complex progressive styles of the worlds top dj's. I really like the progressive approach of weaving deep rhythms to create a powerful mix that can go on for hours.

If you have any questions just ask:)
