Hi Guys,

Wasnt sure of the best forum to post this in so hope this is cool,

Anyways, I have a range of problems,

neck and back acne, receeding hairline and low libido

I am thinking my hormones must be out of whack, before I take any supps such as sustain alpha to sort this out I think I should be tested to get a better idea of where I am,

Whats the best way to go about this? There are tests on the internet where they send you a kit but they are quite expensive,

Hope you can help

Cheers :)

If you have issues that can be classed as medical issues which indicate a hormone imbalance (as I would agree yours do:)) your doctor will most likely test your levels, if he is not I suggest you get another doctor, I dont know if your in the uk or usa or somewhere else but in the UK you will be able to get all tests like this done free quite easily:)

I just visited my doc due to a decrease in libido. He had my test level checked. If you have insurance, talk to your doc. It's a common test if you have libido issues. Also, if you do not have insurance, you can try to find a local lab testing center that will do the test for you. They do not require a Dr's Rx and they're completely confidential and the testosterone test should be reasonably priced due to its popularity.

Thanks Guys, Are there any things in specific I should ask him to test for or is is simply a hormone test?

My doc just ordered a Total Testosterone test for me. Once it showed an abnormal reading, he then ordered free/total test, LH, FSH, Thyroid, cortisol, and a couple others.

You don't really tell your doc what you want, (s)he tells you. All you need to do is go in and tell your doc that you're having libido issues and that it's very abnormal for you (if this is true). You will be asked about erections, "morning wood", sexual desire, etc. Heads-up.
