Day 69
0755 - Rollers:
a. 4 min in 39x16 @ 60-65% HRmax @ 108 rpm
b. 4 min in 39x16 @ 65-70% HRmax @ 118 rpm
c. 4 min in 39x16 @ 75-80% HRmax @ 124 rpm
d. 4 min in 39x15 @ 80% HRmax @ 124 rpm
e. 4 min in 39x14 @ 80-85% HRmax @ 124 rpm
f. 1 min in 39x17 @ 124 rpm (HR dropped back to 75% HRmax)
I WAS going to just do a steady-state session this morning (rollers instead of a run, since stomach was a little upset from last night), but ended up doing a 'step' session of sorts. Instead of increasing gear ratios for a bit, I increased CADENCE (and HR naturally increased with it). Once got to 124 rpm, increased the gear. Did fairly well. Inferiomedial aspect of both knees was aching from ~7 minutes. Had a minute at the end to 'settle' my legs...
0904 - Full-Body (1 minute recovery between trisets):
Triset A (Legs) -
1. BB FS 4 x 6
2. BB RD (on box) 4 x 12
3. SCR 4 x 6
Triset B (Back/Chest) -
4. CG PU 4 x 6
5. P/U (feet on bench, hands on m/b) 4 x 12
6. BB BOR 4 x 6
Triset C (Shoulders) -
7. BB SP 4 x 2
8. DB LR 4 x 12
9 Inc. DB RR 4 x 12
Triset D (Arms) -
10. Dips 4 x 12
11. DB ZC 4 x 12
12. Alt. DB HC 4 x 12
Triset E (Abs) -
13. Weighted crunch 2 x 20
14. Rope crunch 2 x 10
15. Hanging knee raises 2 x 20
Decided to just follow a similar format of last week's resistance sessions (since only will get 2 done this week, and only did 2 last week; and both weeks it has been consecutive days on the weekend). Full-Body session of trisets, with only a minute's recovery between them...Triset A: Legs. All weights were the same as last week. I was feeling the BB FS on the second set. Also noticing that the weight felt heavier with BB RD than it did last week (although I kept the weight the same and soldiered on with a gritting of teeth). I almost collapsed, feeling dizzy after my second set of BB RD. Vascularity was really starting to 'shine' from the second set of BB RD. SCR were sweet as...Triset B: Back/Chest. CG PU were done well, and only the last rep on the last set was 'forced'. P/U were also better than last week. Almost collapsed after the second set of P/U, and had to take a few seconds to breathe before the BB BOR. BB BOR was done at the same weight as last week, and managed BETTER than last week. Anterior delts and arms looking good during BB BOR...Triset C: Shoulders. Started off at the same weight last week with BB SP, and increased it for the second set, leaving it there. DB LR were done well, at higher weight than last week; closer to what I would use on a Shoulders' Day. Inc. DB RR were heavier than last week also, but lower than I have been using. Vascularity was all knots after the first set of Inc. DB RR. Almost passing out after first set of Inc. DB RR...Triset D: Arms. Dips were done at b/w, and 12 reps seemed almost TOO easy; but I didn't add extra weight, just to give my body SOMEthing 'easier'. DB ZC were well done; and on the third set the pump in my left bicep was considerably higher than in my right, and very painful. Alt. DB HC were done at the same weight as DB ZC, VERY slowly and painstakingly EACH set. Had to sit down after each set of Alt. DB HC, or I would have fallen over...Triset E: Abs. Made sure I did my 100 reps in total, and that was that. Feeling as if I was about to pass out after the last set...DEFINITELY noticing the difference in how I'm feeling (as well as in how I LOOK) in the gym (and OUT of the gym), after only doing 2 sessions a week (or none) over the last few weeks (instead of the 4 or 5 sessions I would normally do). Also haven't had received NeoVar Recomped, and have been withOUT creatine since the last Cre-02 sample two weeks ago. Noticing a minute difference withOUT...An ok session, though...
1043 - Stretch 23 min.
2006 – 5.5km Run:
Went for another run with my sister tonight. It was a little cooler than Thursday night. And I didn’t have a 'sore' head like I did then, either (my tummy was a little 'upset' from the fruit at lunch…Started out at an 'easy' pace. Turned out to be 4.67 minutes for the first km. AND the pace held for the second km! Stoked when I saw that

I didn’t start to slow down until the 19-minute mark, when I laterally rolled my right ankle (moving onto the grass, because the footpath narrowed). Didn't slow back much though, to 4.80 min/km. When I saw the splits I started pushing myself in the last half km. By something amazing I was able to SPRINT for the last 100m! The run came in at 1 minute FASTER than Thursday night's run (which was 2.5 minutes faster than Thursday morning's run)! Maybe I just needed to start running more often, and being back into the gym...It won’t be long until I am back at 4 min/km
Sleep - Time and Quality: ~2230-0634 (waking at 0041, 0330, 0400, and 0423), so ~8 hours sleep. NO irritation or itching last night (yay!) Dreaming. Sleep VERY deep. Groggy on waking...
Mental Alertness/Focus: Haven't really needed it too much today. Except in the gym, to make sure that I didn't collapse or pass out...
Energy: Fine. Spent a couple of hours in the sun (went to the library after the gym and got out some books, so that I wouldn't get bored spending that long lying out there). Energy 'draining' when OUT in the sun...
Motivation: Good.
Mood/Aggression: Fine.
Stress: Ok.
Libido: Damn, this has been high all yesterday and today, and well...
Joints: Fine (aside from the niggle during the rollers session).
Endurance: Good. 1 minute rest periods between TRIsets in the gym, and the session lasted 71 minutes...
Strength: Maintaining.
Quality of Training: Close to a standard I can be happy with. Especially considering my lack of resistance training over the last few weeks...
Pump and Vascularity: Pump all over in the gym...Vascularity in the gym was knots, and seeing the veins in my arms quite well. Outside the gym, pretty wicked, with the heat and sun enhancing it...
Muscle Hardness/Density: Upper body.
Body Composition and Look: Upper body looks leaner, especially around upper back, delts, collarbone, and chest. Hamstrings definitely more noticeable...Starting to get tan lines (not cool; sort that out). SLOWLY getting there...
Appetite: Had a huge bowl of fresh fruit (and frozen berries) salad and yoghurt (after a couple of ice-creams) for lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed it (I love fruit; just don't eat it as often as I should or would like, since the sugar usually sends me off on a binge, or it ends up leaving me feel bloated). Tummy been a bit upset since then; might because I had ~3kg of fruit…Diet has been pretty good so far this week, with only a couple of cheat meals and the ice-cream today...
Overall Sense of Feeling: Starting to relax a little. Really wishing you were here to enjoy the sun, and just chill out with me...
