I can't answer for AAS injections, but I do loads of slin pins and I usually just use one hand to hold and aspirate. It doesn't take much force to pull back on the plunger. I think you just have to work on using one hand...I really can't explain how I do it as it's awkward finger positioning.

It shouldn't be that hard. You can pinch the plunger where it meets the cylinder, and that will give you a steady, easy pull-back. But really, if it's that hard, there's something wrong. I'm injecting test-c/Deca/winny in the glute with either a 1"/1.5" inch pin. It's never been that hard.
do some dry runs without actually pinning yourself or having anything in the needle so you can get used to the motion, also you could pin your thigh or glute and not have that prob. very common tho in first cycle...u will get used to it
Exactly what I do, esp. when doing glutes or delts. If it is hard to pull back, you will see a bubble form at the base of the syringe. If its easy, it will be blood.
