Java Lustre Shampoo

Regardless of the viscocity, it's still an awesome shampoo. Definitely glad I bought it.
I appreciate it. I always make sure before I release anything, that it is something I am happy with, enough to replace whatever I was using before.

The soap (Java Lather, Banish, and Renegade) all are definitely the only soaps I use, and now Java Lustre is my only shampoo.

I never tried any of your products before these but am beyond impressed by the two that I've tried... probably end up trying that bar soap ya'll got.

Forgive me but is taurine in either one of your hair loss products? I don't really have time right this second to check.

Also, I feel that the castille is clutch... excellent choice on the surfacant (sp?).

We chose to leave Taurine out at this time, until there is more supporting research.

I am familiar with a lot of studies applied to cochlear "hairs", but only the most recent attempted on dermal hairs.

to the maker of virile mane:
im using the vm and hoping for some regrowth. i saw your post that you think the new hair should appear in some degree in 5 weeks,,im curioius as to what you basing that statement from, have you seen anyone actually regrow some hair using it? not trying to test you, just would like some honest feedback
thanks

Hi,
Did You ship already the new bottles of Virile Mane ?
(the sealed one)
Thanks
Do you mean the Java Lustre? The Virile Mane has not had any problems, just the shampoo.

The replacements are shipping out today - and they are thicker, in general, so I am headed the right way.

Everyone should receive them by the end of this week/early next.

I used a rough beta of this formula (with a harsher alcohol-based carrier, and using green tea rather than the superior Rooibos) a couple of years ago and this was how long it took for me to see obvious new growth.

It is just an estimate - mostly to make customers understand that this is not an overnight fix and that patience will be needed.

I just ordered some Java Lustre today from NP - will this be the thicker version? I was pretty happy with the Java Lather, so thought I'd give the shampoo a try - hopefully the cap won't be open when it arrives...

Also got a bar of Renegade, some Zenquility for the wife and a Fidomega trial for the pooch! :)

The stock Nutra received today are thicker, yes.

We instituted a neck/dispenser sealing system today, so the shipment going out today (yes, the new shipment arriving today appears to have been over half sold already) is both thicker and sealed.

can you comment on what area of the head did you get some regrowth? do you think a small bald spot on the crown of head can be rescued by using the virile man for a few months?
thanks

Crown seems to be the easiest portion of the head to regrow. My regrowth is all hairline.

I THOUGHT I had a full crown, until recently my wife was kind enough to poke her finger into my crown and comment on my growing thin spot. Thanks, honey.

However, this WAS part of the impetus to bring this out of development phase and into full release - so again, thanks honey.

My VM was in a ziplock bag, standing bolt upright, and packed in a box full of peanuts that was much larger than needed. Definitely took precautions to be sure it arrived safely, and indeed, it did.

I *may* be seeing fuzzy new hairs on my hairline.

I've been using my VM for a few days now aswell, pretty easy to apply, the scent is probably too strong to apply it during daytime so I just use it before sleep. No flakes in mine, let's see how it goes :-)

BTW I've also been using Banish for a few weeks, it's a really good product, my skin is a lot cleaner and looks "fresher" by lack of a better word. The java soap and flawless cream I've been using for a few days, very noticable improvement in skin complexion, and has sort of a tanning effect on me. Unfortunately the scent is too strong to use it on a regular basis, even when I apply it before bed, it's still too strong when I go to work in the morning, people make comments on it..

It sounds like I am going to have to make an unscented version of the flawless.

Hi,
Just to make sure: The shampoo is now with sealing protection.
What about Virile mane, will You ship with sealing protection also ?
It just nice to get these items sealed.
Thanks

You are welcome, better to be told than to be bald ;):run:

We have the shampoo sealed, we might do the Virile Mane, but because of the cap difference so far it has not been needed.

I sent you an e-mail at the aol.com address. You might have to check your spam box there! :)

just a suggestion: You can seal the Virile mane with a shrink
wrap.
I can do this.

We mostly were concentrating on the necks of the shampoo due to leaking. Per your preference, I will begin neck sealing the VM too.

I'm not sure if the secrets out, or I'm just late to the party. Anyway, why deny? Pretty cool, a combined effort!

My wife and I run our coffee enterprise, too.

LOL no secret, must just be you:) I've been working for the company for almost 2 years.

Oh, I know, I just never realized you two were together, I thought you were just a rep.

You can actually see the entire beginning of the entire relationship right here in Anabolic Minds.

Search for "Clear Edge Testers" from about 2 years ago. Christine responded, and was a tester. It also stands as a ringing endorsement of the effectiveness of Clear Edge, as it made her brilliant enough to fall in love with me. :)

**snicker**

Haha, no way! That's a funny way to meet. Well, I met my wife in Spinning class, so I guess I shouldn't talk.

i like your optimism about regrowth possibilities, but i also get very suspicious when i hear lines like" crown hair is the easiest to regrow...im tried so many products with no success at all, so...its frusterating beyond belief.
ill keep using virile mane and java, im on week 3...so far no signs of regrowth, but hoping....

I'm sure dsade will chime in, so I will not address Virile Mane directly, but repairing the structural integrity of hair follicle alone, not to mention stimulating hair re-growth is a process that takes weeks in some cases, and several months in others. There are manufacturers that encourage users not to expect optimal results before three months. Virile Mane, though, has a rather promising profile, so can work faster, yet one should give it some time. :)

Knocking out the androgen receptor and all the negative feedback that accompanies MPB should be at the top of everyone's anti-hairloss regimine. Easier said than done, but should be a main focal point.

I just started using an estradiol topical and will keep ya'll updated as to progress and whatnot.

Yikes, man...be VERY aware of the disastrous effects if that goes systemic on you.

Why not start with something like Isoflavones - I am specifically looking at a Kudzu extract (40%) to play with.

Start? Hahah... I'm 26 years old and this hairloss crap has consumed the last 5 years of my life... every... waking... second. I probably have the equivelant of a bachelor's degree in trichology and have explored most everything including all variations of isoflavones.

I'm just gonna ramble some stuff off real quick as I'm trying to finish this Heineken so I can go to bed and don't particularlly feel like assembling an essay right this second....

Men without the type-2 5ar enzyme don't bald (Dominicans or whatever.. don't recall right now).

Castrated men don't bald... however, I'm aware of a case where a non-balding twin, castrated male was given testosterone injections and started/continued balding despite the removal of the testosterone supplementation. This, in my opinion, showcases the cascade effect that's known accompany MPB, meaning once the process is started, there's other factors involved.

Men who underwent a topical estradiol trial for MPB at least maintained all their existing hair.. pretty sure it was close to 100%. I feel this may act as proof for estrogen's protective effects on hair follicles.

Women's frontotemporal follicles have been shown to contain four-times as much aromatase as men's which some experts believe correlates to the sparing of the hairline in FPB.

------

Sure I believe that excess estrogen in a man's body is harmful but there's a mountain of evidence that shows its protective effects on hair. I've played around with most-all antiandrogens and am no stranger to its side effects. But believe it or not, I'm not really experiencing anything negative with this estradiol topical. I take DIM on a regular basis to counteract any systemic rises that may occur, coupled with the fact that I read a study about DIM being a androgen receptor antagonist.

Like I said, I'm just rammbling right now and will post more info this weekend along with citations to the afore-mentioned postings.

I guess the moral is that isoflavone's might "rid you of harmful estrogens" but I'm not sure I'd be counting on them to do much for our hair... unless of course these systemic estrogens are causing a reflex hypo-type of rise test/DHT.

You never know... this crap is mad confusing and I look forward to embracing the day when MPB is no longer a concern of mine.

Fat kid out.

Question

Can VM & Java Luster shampoo be used if you have oily hair/scalp?
And will VM work if only applied once a day (in evenings) as 1HP mentioned earlier in the thread?
thanks

It's meant to normalize, while conditioning. We haven't much feedback from people with oily scalp - mine tends to be normal/dry.

VM, if used once a day, should be used at night - and should still be very effective.

I like it. The consistency seems pretty good with the new batch - a little thin, but easy enough to manage. I was surprised that it doesn't really lather up. This is a new experience for me, but it seems to do it's job. I guess that's because it doesn't have the famed SLS in it?

I have dry scalp and usually use dandruff shampoo. I have not noticed any problems since switching to Java Lustre. :)

It smells quite different than Java Lather - sweeter I would say.

A comment on the packaging - the labels are paper, and are not looking too good after repeated wet/dry cycles. Something that is a bit water resistant might hold up better...

Good product overall. Thanks!

Those are our beta labels just to get the product out. We will have some made eventually. We also thickened it up! I'm glad you like it.

We appreciate the honest feedback, brother! :)

Glad to see that you're liking the java lustre. I'm pretty sure matt had already commented on changing up the labeling a bit in due time.

Thanks again!

Correct. I am used to the thick lathers produced by the harsh surfactants and detergent ingredients as well, and it took some getting used to psychologically that the lather does NOT equal effectiveness at cleansing.

MArketing is a powerful thing.

LAbels are going into print in 2 weeks, and they will either be complete shrink wraps or plain waterproof.

Im dying to get my hands on each and every piece of the puzzle for the hair regrowth, but just getting married and a new house, errrr, well, you get my drift...
