Volcom’s, Controlled Labs NEW White Flood CAPS (Sponsored TESTER)

True and true, on both accounts. It is easier to cheer the loser when you're the winner, but the boo's should have been withheld out of respect. However, considering the situation, you can understand the heavy sense of disappointment and even anger in the crowd and it's much easier to be graceful when you're in the winner's circle. That said, I reiterate my accordance with both of your points.
totally agree.

oh well. best of luck to america as a whole because we face this crisis as one nation, not two political parties.

and i thought id let you know my progress on deads. today, at the end of a pretty grueling back sesh, i hit deads, and pulled 315 x 8. i puked a little at rep 5, but swallowed and kept going for 3 more solid reps. i probably could have hit 10, but my body felt like it was ready to give out, and i dont think i would have been conscious if i did 2 more haha.

wtf you hit 315 for 8! I'll need to re-configue your numbers for that!

I'd rep you for the swallowing of the baby chunks to continue the set had I not repped you already.

I repped him for ya Volcom. He deserved it. Rolandajoint, that was hardcore my brutha!! Puke, swallow,.....continue. :head:

Sweet, block pyramids. That looks like my routine as of lately, Sammo.

I just wanted to touch on the political aspect. I did not vote for Obama, but the majority did. Therefore, I will choose to stand behind him. I think that's an important part of this whole thing. Too many people are critical of politicians. I suppose it is their right to be that way, but no one is perfect. GW was a buttonhead, but our government under his reign, even at the lowest point it's been in probably 50 years, is still preferable to many others around the world.

However, unsustainable in that continued capacity. Don't overlook this. You can only go downhill so far before you crash at the bottom.

McCain sucked as a Republican candidate, but his downfall (other than his weak demeanor) was being viewed as the same as Bush. Obviously, what we've had we cannot continue to have - but where we're at is not the result of Republican efforts, rather, of George W.'s efforts and piss poor decision making and manipulation of events to further his own personal agendas. McCain ran a horrible campaign, did nothing to assure people what would seperate him from Bush, just on what would seperate him from Obama - and that was poorly done as well, more of "look what he'll (Obama) do" rather than "this is what I'll do".

I woulda done the old puke and rally technique!

Interesting political move. This is not a rant and has nothing to do with sides, parties or policies, it's just a thought I found interesting to discuss. I know the Arab's were definitely rooting for an Obama presidency, and there were reports of Arab jubilation following Obama's win. However, Obama just appointed his new Chief of Staff, Rom Emmanuel, who I believe is Jewish. Arab hate for Jews I believe exceeds Arab admiration for our president elect. Potential elephant in the room, just a thought. No passion or fire needed.

This is a neutral topic, not a bash or praise discussion.

Not to encourage any further discussion . . but a bold move on Obama's part . . I wonder how controversial his selections could get.

I was at the gym today and I don't think anyone working there did this on purpose since they always have it on the Sirius techno channel, but there was a techno beat playing with a bunch of clips from Obama speeches. It kind of pissed me off.

It was a techno beat, with constant repeat of Obama saying, "Enough!" and "We need to change America!" - That's seriously all it was. A techno beat and him saying those exact words.

I went up to the chick up front and said, "Are you freaking kidding me?!" - She was really erked because I'm usually super-overly nice to the employees.

Thats crazy. Have you seen the campaign pics of his face half blue ahlf red. Kind of reminded me of something else that is a little disturbing. imo

What the **** !? I'd be enraged ! Ohhh, I'd let them know what I thougth about that for sure ! I get mad enough when walking in to the gym with 60 degrees outside, into 65 degrees inside; are you ****ing kidding me !? If I get my sweat on and rest for longer than 60 seconds, I lose my pump, energy and drive. **** you, Gold's Gym ! Crank up the damn heat because, after all, we're here to sweat ! :duel:

Day 21; 1st Test Rage Episode

I tested the full dose White Flood CAPS with Rest-AD as I promised I would and I will discuss that further later on, but it's the DTHC/Sunami that reared it's aggressive face this morning. I had a serious episode of Test Rage at the gym this morning and I'll expound further toward the end.

TRAPS DAY
I still can't perform standing barbell shrugs. You'd be surprised how weak your shrugs can be, when your lumbar erectors are non-functional. Therefore, I performed BLOCK pyramids again on the seated shrug.

Seated Shrugs (BLOCK Pyramids)
270lbs x 15 reps
270lbs x 15 reps
270lbs x 15 reps

290lbs x 12 reps
290lbs x 12 reps
290lbs x 12 reps

320lbs x 10 reps
320lbs x 10 reps
320lbs x 10 reps

360lbs x 8 reps
360lbs x 8 reps
360lbs x 8 reps

390lbs x 6 reps
390lbs x 6 reps
390lbs x 6 reps

TEST RAGE: I was minding my own business with my headphones on, performing my (crippled) seated shrugs routine, making the most of what I got, when I see a guy on the incline press. He loaded up 225 and performed the most partial of all partial reps I've EVER seen in my life. He stopped the bar about 5 inches ABOVE his head, on the incline bench. That urked me much more then it should have. He performed 10 twitches, got up and looked around. I made eye contact with him through the mirror reflection and shook my head at him.

Next set, he loaded up to 275 and for no rational reason at all, I was legitimately angry. Again, he performs 8 twitch reps, gets up and looks around and I shake my head again, but he chooses not to look my way.

He moves up to 295 and during his set, everything in me wanted to throw a dime at his forehead and yell out "NEGGED!" He twitch reps some more (stops the bar 5 inches ABOVE his head) and moves to 315 for his next set. At this point, I was literally on the verge of saying something, like yelling across the room, "I'm still waiting for the 1st rep!" Then I had a fantasy beat down, you know when you play out a situation in your head that may lead up to a fight.

I saw myself saying what I was going to say, then I pictured him walking up to me and I was going to pop up and knock him to the ground. I thought, "if he steps to me I'm going to swing this 45lbs plate at his head" then I thought, "no, there's no way I can swing a 45lbs plate fast enough to hit somebody," so I looked around and saw a nearby Quarter and thought, "perfect, I can reach for that" and I commenced to beat this guy with a quarter in my thoughts.

NOW.... 10 min later, when the test rage calmed down, I thought, holy $hit, how irrational was that last 15 min?!?!

I'm normally a peaceful, compassionate, cool guy, so I hope this little story doesn't change your perception of me, I'm fully certain this was the act of the DTHC/Sunami getting my War Test moving. I hope you don't see this little story as a reflection of my character, but I felt it would be an integral report of the Aggression via Test Increase as a result of the products I'm on. It's technically a positive report FOR DTHC/Sunami.

On my way to my car I thought. Women can be skilled fighters, I agree, but nothing can touch a light to the bone headed, irrational and unadulterated instinct to destroy and destroy without repentance then a floodgate of Male Testosterone drowning out every piece of judgment and sensibility in a MAN. Men were born to war, testosterone is one hellacious kindle of a desire to break someone else. I'm a good guy though. It was a temporary break of sanity via increased testosterone.

White Flood/Reset-AD
No change in actual energy. Energy was still high, but nothing extraordinary as far as physical energy, meaning, no restlessness, no desire to perform HIIT cartwheels between sets, I was actually a bit drained from this morning's HIIT I performed.

What I did notice and continue to experience, is a sharp and clear mental acuity. My mind is wired, but not in an overwhelming sense where I can't focus. I'm simply wide awake in the mind. Like if I had to write a 10 page paper right now, it'd be done in 2 hours. I have crazy mental energy.

I know what you mean, dude.

It was funny though because I'm always so nice to the girls that work the desk in the morning. Even when I walked in today I was a little flirty with her...A smile from an attractive girl first thing in the morning is always a good start for the day! - But after about ten minutes into my workout when I heard that playing, I walked up front and snapped...the "Irish Cannon" made his face known.

That's something you play as a personal collection in the car or at home, not a public setting. At my college, there is an assumption that we're all Obama supporters and that may be a universal generality.

I wished L.A. Fitness cranked up their heat. I love to sweat, but it's generally pretty air conditioned inside to keep the masses happy. I can understand that, but I can dream.

People who so fanatically worship their candidate make those assumptions, and are SHOCKED to find that someone might be so 'naive' as to not follow thier beliefs and thoughts (or lack thereof...). And with the amount of passion and dangerous politics involved with this election, you cannot afford to assume everyone will be ok with this type of playlist. Ridiculous. That song would be just a fight waiting to happen at my gym...

Divided
The fact is, the nation was/is divided with this election and it was a very close race (the vote counts were 52% to 48% or something last time I checked) even though there was a large difference in electoral college votes.

Did America Choose Socialism?
America didn't vote for socialism, regardless of my own belief that he is a socialist himself as convinced by his speeches (he's all but admitted his marxist beliefs), his policies, and his political and personal ties. Just because the man holds socialistic ideals, doesn't mean his presidency will be socialistic. This is the hope I hold, while trying to stay positive about the hand we've dealt ourselves. I personally believe that America did not make this choice based on Obama's non-committal, centrist platform, but rather voting against a candidate that was painted to be "more of the same" with regards to the current administration. Also, It's been polled that a huge portion of the vote was based on race alone, which flabbergasts me. In my minds eye, when I look at presidential nominees, I see politicians... not a young black(ish) dude and an old white guy. The exit pollists missed a HUGE opportunity to figure out why people were voting for their candidates. But frankly, without a multiple choice answer, I'm certain most who voted for Obama couldn't really tell you...

Bleh, sorry bout that, bro. I have no other outlet. Sort of a dump of pent up thoughts. lol.

No worries, the wound is still fresh enough to require some tending to.

Great post man. I was upset how many people had no real reason to vote for obama other than change and race issues. so many of my teachers even would influence you to vote for him and i think that is so wrong. the majority of college students voted obama just because everyone did. i doubt many of them actually took into account everything involved in such a serious decision.

hman - I hope you understand my rationale behind my own political beliefs, and I certainly respect yours. I must say I had several times where I would flip flop between candidates - but I had to come to my own decision.

I'm sorry things got out of hand yesterday - and I apologize for my escalation. Hopefully we can put this sh*t behind us and move on.

I honestly haven't talked to anyone who really had a solid understanding of what they were voting for when casting their ballot for Obama. So many people are so focused on wanting to "change" things, that they don't even take into account what is actually being changed.

Someone in another thread said, "Change is inevitable. Change is good." - What a stupid, pathetic, and basic statement. Change IS inevitable, but grouping all change as good is just retarted.

That was TomKat. Everything he says is pretty much borderline retarded.

Yeah we will get some change thats for sure, but i hope that it is the change we need. I think people need to be more informed before acting like they know everything. Like I saw on family guy one time brian said undecided voters are the biggest bunch of fools out.(or something along those lines).

i have generally liberal views of everything. and yeah i voted for obama partly because of the issues, his general vibe from speeches and debates, and because yes, i want a change in the white house. people can say mccains looking to change things all they want, but having a voting record 90% in line with bush, why would i want to take that chance of having little to no change? and palin was a huge turn off for mccain too.

also, something about obama is more appealing to me than with mccain. having two young daughters, and having the power to bring about change to better the world that he will be handing off to them as the future generation, i think he genuinely has more desire to accomplish this.

and yes, i know mccain has childern who are not old, but are not that young either. and he did not seem as passionate about making changes. plus, his entire campaign seemed to be about how obama would not bring about the change we need. however he failed to mention how he would do it.

just my 2 cents.

You are tough but respectful. In return your own opinions are respected as well, regardless of your position. Good discussion/arguments is healthy, and tough to find someone willing to engage without becoming defensive/hostile. This board is full of people with differing views, but are mature enough and intelligent enough to have a discussion. Sometimes, it even leads to a change of mind, and others yields a stronger understanding of where your position comes from.

Thanks. The moment I realized the extent of this was during polling. I had to wait an hour during early voting (just chose the wrong location..), and heard a constant stream and even chanting of "Oh, this is an important day! A historic day! History will be made today". History is made with the choosing of every president, and while the impact of our first black president isnt lost on me, it's certainly NOT a valid consideration when choosing a president in my mind.

I want to comment .. really bad .. but I vote for a stop to these discussions of politics as there's just too much bad blood to be spilt.

Just my $.02 . .

maybe they meant historic like were choosing a president to take care of the next possible great depression, huge domestic problems, and 2 wars, not to mention a failing world image. thats what i think at least.

Nope, it was a stupid comment that he threw in there... He's kind of like one of those stuffed animals where you pull the cord and something predictable comes out of his mouth.

hahaha, I just had chocolate flavored Muscle Milk shooting out my nose from that comment ! :icon_lol:

You and I have aready been here...

I stopped yesterday.

As did I ! .. sometimes you 've just got to let it go, sit back, and see what happens.

It's a good idea to avoid political discussion, but he has valid points, and ones that are important for conservatives to pay attention to! Ignoring why poeple voted for the extreme left is folly, when I truly do not believe America has chosen liberalism... but rather a change in the policies of the current administration. McCain was not even on my list of Republican candidates... and I did not vote for him but rather against the alternative. These distinctions are important, and say a lot about the current political environment.

I dont think Roland's comments were inflammatory, even if I disagree with the points. It took a lot for him to step into this obviously right leaning discussion, and give us why he voted how he did as well. Props.

No, I left out most racial comments, hoping I could get accross the vibes without making it racial. It was without a doubt something that had the colors been polarized would have ended up with problems for those speaking the words.

Absolutely; we dealt with it through the repping system instead !

Right, rolandajoint ?! :hammer:

I don't mind political discussions as long as they don't turn into personal attacks. I understand that a lot of Republicans are still in vent mode and I think that's natural. The more passionate you are about politics and the stronger your personal convictions are, the harder it is to deal with being on our current side of the fence. It does take a great amount of self control and patience to discuss politics (or religion) without becoming zealous. As long as we don't resort to negging each other's opposing posts, I'm okay with some people's "needs" to express their opinions of our very significant political atmosphere.

I Understand your beliefs if you truly believe them. i just feel alot of people jumped on the bandwagon persay. i also feel that you come off wrongly at times. If you want to settle this and put it behind us, I am mature enough to do so and would be happy to. i just think you should chill out alittle with making comments about people that are dergrading and trying to put yourself on a pedestal. I honstley could care less what you say to me because i know what and who I am and I am more than happy with how my life is and how I am. I am just saying that I have heard from some people(name not needed) that you come off as a internet tought guy. No one needs that sh1t around here. We support each other and though we all have differences we still support each other and push on to our whatever they may be. I really don't care either way but I would be more than happy tojust let it go i was over it yesterday.

I Understand your beliefs if you truly believe them. i just feel alot of people jumped on the bandwagon persay. i also feel that you come off wrongly at times. It's done with as far as I'm concerned...

As far as the Internet Tough Guy... Not even sure how to address that. I've learned a long time ago that you can't make everyone like you. The people around here that truly understand me and like me get that everything I say should be taken for a grain of salt. I'm not a violent person, I'm not a heathen, and I don't ever get in any fights or altercations outside of my sport that I love... I don't drink... don't do drugs... don't make irresponsible decisions - so I feel like whomever says things like that pretty much have no basis to do so. Yeah, I f*ck around with people on here when they are disrespectful to me or people that I consider friends - who doesn't? And let's also be clear that I didn't start the personal attacks yesterday... and while I did make some regrettable personal remarks towards you - I was not the only one. I also apologized, and I did say about 15 minutes later that I was just f*cking around about the short comments.

If you're going to drop it - drop it... I'm not asking you to drag this through the mud - or give me input on how I should conduct myself.

Well then, I'm glad I missed all that.

Speaking of personal attacks... Whats the difference between you and a Mallard with a cold? Ones a sick duck, I can't rememeber how it ends, but your mother's a whore!
