SokViChet's - Supplement/Training Log

Nice looking workouts. I've been throwing in a lot of dropsets, supersets, and trisets lately. Good stuff.

I saw your trisets, and that's where I got the idea to push tri-quadruple-quintuple-sextuple-septuplesets! lol. Lately, I've had tons of extra endurance and energy. Luckily, my gym has tons of equipment so I can move from set to set with almost no rest. We have those pre-measured barbells from 20-130 and ezbars at the same range, all lined up in a rack just like our dumbbells.

I'm horrible at planning out workouts, so I always go in there with an overall goal after checking my past logged workouts, hit those, then if I have extra gas try to up the intensity with either a huge rep set, dropsets, supersets, or anything I have the energy for. It's probably not optimal, though. Soon, I'm afraid I'm coming up on some plateaus and as soon as I hit them I try to change up. For example, the strength gains on hammerstrength iso-laterals are starting to slow/stop, so I'll move towards dumbbell presses for a few weeks.

I don't know. I read as many training logs as I can for ideas (you and Volcom are huge sources of ideas for me) but can't seem to pull together a focused training program on paper. In the end it's about getting in the gym and pushing for progress somewhere on every exercise.

Ya, great looking workout; however, I'd advise you to create a set workout program. Consistency is key.

agree with Cannons there bro. Mix things up every 4-6 weeks.

Looks like your hitting your stride with Prime - I always seem to be a slow responder with most supps - I'm in week 5 but getting week 2-3 results.

Luckily I have enough product to last most the year, eh?

Couple days off due to late nights at work, and some needed rest. I'll be hitting it up tomorrow with chest/back if things go well at work.

Still rocking the PRs! Endurance still way out of normal ranges. I had to force myself to leave. First dose of Hemodraulix today.

10 min light elliptical warmup

HammerStrength Wide-grip press
180 x15 warmup set
300 x8 PR!!! Felt f'ing light!
310 x7 PR!!! Endurance was ridiculous. Wasn't expecting to go almost a full set
270 x8
180 x8

HammerStrength Incline press
90 x20
140 x12
150 x10
90 x40 *last set of the day to replace flys

Seated Cable Rows (mid grip)
Back is catching up. I'll be hitting 160+ next week on rows, but I'm not expecting much movement yet on dumbell rows... biceps are holding me back a bit there
130 x15
140 x10 Felt LIGHT
150 x8 PR! Coulda gone heavier, but wanted to be sorta fresh for db rows

Bent Dumbell Rows (each arm)
65 x10
75 x8
65 x8

Bent Wide Grip Barbell Rows
70 x12
80 x10
90 x8

Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns
120 x12
130 x10
140 x8 PR

Reverse cable flys huge nonstop set (wife was waiting on me lol)
55 x15 *superset into:
75 x10 *superset into:
85 x8 *superset into the final HammerStrength incline set above

Post workout ego pump pics coming up... but... so ashamed of traps, lats, forearms, list goes on lol

Geez I've got a lot of work to do...

I absolutely SUCK at posing. Seriously I'm a nub.

Forearms, traps, lats, fats. Tons of work to do, and while I love looking at a post workout pumped ViChet... It's kinda disappointing if I dont keep in mind where I came from. Gonna have to find a skinny-me pic lol.

You've got a great base there, buddy! Back looks solid, good shoulder separation, and I disagree, I think your forearms look pretty good too. I see good things in the future for you!! Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks a ton dude. I'm so much more critical towards myself than I am others. I still have this image of myself I can't get past... the 145 pound me starting college. Heck or even the 175 pound me after my first year of bulking back in college before the back injury.

Last night - Legs!

The pump from Hemodraulix is RIDICULOUS. Halfway through my leg presses, my legs were so pumped it was painful to bend them, haha. However, I did not notice any enhanced endurance. A few new PRs :P

10 min warmup on elliptical

Hack Slide
Had to stop at second set due to pain cause by compression of lower back.
135+ x12
205+ x8

Squat Leg Press
Going nowhere on these. Same weight range as I've been starting off with squats and such. Didn't have the juice to jump up to 540+ as I've been doing lately. Legs were so pumped up it hurt to bend them all the way, lol.
360 x12
450 x10
450 x8
360 x8

Stiff Legged Deadlift PR!!
Forearms giving out in later reps of 200+ pounds... Thankfully the next time I try these I'll have shiny new Animal Straps to put on during my last set or so. I need my forearms to grow so on days I use my strap, I'll toss in some farmer's carrys or such. However, they'll only go on during my final sets where my forearms are fatigued and cannot allow me to go on.
135 x12
135 x12
185 x10
205 x8 *hams/back felt great, forearms cut this one short...
205 x7 *just couldnt hold onto the bar... this set was slightly rushed as a result

Leg extensions
150 x10
165 x10 PR
165 x6 PR

Lying Single Leg Curls
40 x10
50 x10
50 x8

Standing Calf Raises
I need more calf volume and will be hitting them again sometime this week. Ran out of time, and had to rush my last three exercises a bit.
195 x10
210 x8
210 x8

Still getting stronger, and ridiculous endurance continues

Hemodraulix + Prime = f'ing ridiculous pumps and PRs. Shoulders felt STRONG today, and I had to stop myself in the gym I had so much left after almost an hour even after several new PRs. Less focus on triceps today, but only due to running out of time. Still felt I hit them decently with some new PRs. Any tricep advice would rock, as I'm having a hard time adding some extra size and separation to the lateral head.

DB Seated Shoulder Press
45 x12
55 x10
60 x6 PR

BB Seated Shoulder Press (new exercise, will be going heavier next time)
I found my back arching on the second and third sets here. Refocused and kept my back against the rest on last set.
45 x12
75 x12
85 x10
95 x9

EZ Bar Curls
70 x10
80 x9 *last two were cheat + slow-hold negs

40 x8

DB Shrugs
65 x10
80 x8 PR
70 x8

Planning to do chest/back tomorrow, but my shoulder's still fairly sore and inflamed from the last workout...

Consistently holding 209 nude on an empty stomach upon waking, and even woke up weighing 210 this morning. I'm gonna keep my weight at 209 for now til I hold 210+ for a few more days. I eat kinda dirty one day every weekend (Chicken/Tofu Pad Thai and some Ice Cream on Saturday), so I expect a little gain on monday :P

Woke up with shoulders in good shape, so it was a 'go' with the chest/back today. Good timing for the Osteo-Sport to come in. Shoulders are inflamed and painful, a new pec injury (hopefully it's just a little irritation and not an injury), and knees aching. Might put up a log to note how I'm feeling on the Osteo-Sport.

Regardless, a HUGE PR on the wide-grip. I need to change up this chest-back workout soon. Not sure If I should keep going through the PRs, or change it up early...

Preworkout:
Ragnarok 1 scoop
Poseidon 1 scoop
ALCAR 1.4g (should I bump this up?)
L-Tyrosine 600mg (already have some in the Phenadrine)
Hemodraulix

Hammer Strength Wide-Grip Press
180 x15
300 x8
330 x7 PR +20!!!! AGAIN! That's 20 MORE pounds
270 x8

Hammer Strength Incline Press
90 x12
140 x10
160 x10
160 x8
140 x15 *dropset into:
90 x10 *started to notice a sharp pain

Seated Cable Rows
130 x12
150 x10 *matched and exceeded reps of last weeks PR
150 x8 *
150 x6 *

Cybex plate loaded T-Bar Rows (wide-grip) - new exercise
not sure how much the actual contraption weighs.
70 x12
90 x10
90 x8

Wide Grip cable lat pulldowns
These aggravated whatever pain I felt in my pecs during incline presses. I didn't really worry about the pain til on my way home though when I really noticed how sharp it was while reaching back.
130 x10
140 x8 *matched previous week's PR
*** switched to close-grip to alleviate the pec pain, didn't help much
140 x8
130 x8

BB Bent rows
70 x10
90 x10
90 x7

You and Metroba make me want to try Hemo. It looks so basic, but everyone is saying how amazing it is.
Shaddow said:
Yeah, ditto. I've never even read about it though. I'm looking into it right now.
The pumps are impressive, and I'm enjoying it so far. I don't usually mess with NO products, but Hemodraulix seems to be much more than a simple pump product but also claims strength and recovery improvements as well. I feel I can confirm surprising pumps and might be able to attribute a portion of my strength gains to Hemo, however, I'm just not getting anywhere with the vascularity. My little pipes are visible at my current bodyfat, but none of the NO products I've tried really seem to enhance it.

I'm still debating it. There are so many different stacks that I'd love to try.

I've always been a huge fan of bulk powders ever since I came to this site and started buying off of NP. It's almost hard for me to take a product that's basically just BA, AAKG, Sesamin, and AA. I'd rather just buy all the powders and get a bunch more doses.

I totally agree. I have everything but the AA. Can't seem to buy bulk AA anymore, so I figured I'd try it while it's on sale. I might try my next chest/back workout without Hemodraulix, and compare notes. It would definitely be a good idea to skip it for bi/tri day lol, as the pumps hindered my sets this past week.

I'm really having a tough time deciding where I want to go with my supplementation lately... So many things to try but in the end I'm focusing most on my diet, sleep, training, and staple supps. I've just been throwing in one-offs every month to try something new, but haven't really put together a focused stack. Haven't messed with test boosters or the like. Then there's the PH path as well... I'd like to keep it natural, but I might be open to moving beyond the realm of supplementation some day.

It's definitely something to consider. Definitely spend time reading and studying that stuff if you decide to go there. I've ran three cycles of gear back in the day, and for me, it wasn't worth the trouble. It just wasn't the godsend for me that it is for so many people. The psychological affects were great, but there is so much other stuff you have to deal with. I feel great being natural. It's a good feeling. I don't really ever plan on stepping outside of the legal boundaries again. Sometimes I get the itch, but I just have to remind myself of all the crap I went through.

Excellent advice. I've been reading about epistane, h-drol, and the less impactful stuff for several months. I didn't really get interested until lately as I watch so many members go on cycle for their winter bulks, but even then the side effects and potential issues have steered me away. I love being natural and making progress knowing my diet, training, and smart supplementation were all I needed. However, the main reason I dont bother are the potential negative sides, even though many can be blunted / eliminated with proper supplementation

Even if I don't ever run a cycle, I'm still very interested in the cycle support and post cycle supplementation. Many of the principles (aside from the use of SERMs) can be applied to natural supplementation as well to good effect I believe. And there are still many avenues I've not experimented with such as testosterone boosting stacks, cortisol management, and such.

Late workout last night. I was worried about intensity as I wore myself out at work, however, the second dose of Phenadrine at one cap was enough to ramp me up. No squats due to some slight back pain, but I did get in some heavy SLDL (well as far as my forearms would hold... need some straps in for the last few sets).

I've been jumping to my working weight right after a warmup set (or two depending on the exercise). I try to change up between a more gradual progression and jumping to a heavy working weight for shock. When I jump too heavy too early, I blow my load and don't have much left :P

Warmup
10 min fairly heavy resistance on the elliptical
20 bodyweight squats
5 min stretching

Leg Press
270 x15
450 x10
550 x9 (last rep was forced with hand pressure)
550 x6 (had to push with hands on last rep)
270 x8

SLDL
135 x15
205 x10
205 x6 (forearms couldnt finish set)
135 x8 (forearms failing even at warmup weight)

Leg Extensions
130 x12
150 x12
165 x10
165 x8

Kneeling leg curls (same maching I've been working, just usinc IrishCannon's naming :P)
Ultra-slow negs today
40 x10
50 x8
50 x6

Standing Calf Raises
195 x15
205 x10
215 x8
215 x5 *dropset to:
175 x3 *dropset to:
135 x4 *dropset to:
95 x5 *dropset to:
body x8 BURN!!!!

Seated Donkey Calf
120 x8
120 x6 calves are fried, can barely even walk lol

Got a few interesting meals I remembered to take pictures of, haha. Too bad I forgot to snap a pic of my homemade Chicken/Tofu Pad Thai. Mine's better than any Thai restaurant :P

Very solid workout! I like.
Thank ya. I'm always second-guessing the makeup of my workouts, hehe.

Made some protein balls! Ran out of my second box of ATJ Protein Recovery Balls (man, they are tasty). Mine are close, but not quite as good (ok, they are a ways off).

I just started putting stuff in a bowl til it tasted good.
1 cup Natural Peanut Butter
1 cup Granola / oats (ground these up)
3-4 scoops Cupcake Batter Isolates
6 tbsp Honey
4 tbsp water --> just enough to keep moist while mixing

Just mixed it up and rolled into balls. Then as I finished rolling I'd put a light covering of whey isolate to keep them from sticking together.

Today's breakfast:

I also make my own pancakes. They taste and feel as good or better than the bad-for-you ones :P Bonus, three different protein sources.

1 cup Cottage Cheese
1/2 cup Oats
1 scoop Whey Isolates
6 egg whites

Blend it and pan fry with Pam.

Thanks guys :P Breakfast has been a meal I allowed myself to get sick of (6 eggs, toast, and almonds every morning), so now I'm trying to spice it up.

The pancake recipe makes 4 large pancakes and is PERFECT for a morning meal as the you have a blend of slow, mid, and fast burning proteins.

I eat it with yogurt on top instead of syrup! Fricken yummy.

Sok - take a few days off mate - don't just rely on supps to fix it.

Well done with your PR's and prizes too!
Thanks JP :P Been feeling very strong lately and have been equally as lucky on the prize :P

Definitely considering a short break while my joints rest up. Feeling solid today and the shoulder feels better than it has in a month! I think the Osteo-Sport is kicking in (4th day of use), as well as some extra sleep

Great log, youve made me feel hungry now, awww man and i was nearly ready for bed. great log bro!!!!

Food looks good, bro! How's training going?
I have a late update for my Saturday shoulder/arms workout, but have been so busy all weekend I've not really had much time for AM :(

I totally forgot that the gym closed early on Saturdays (my wife is always around to remind me, but she was out with her friends that night). So I ended up with a MASSIVE superset in order to attempt to get in a full workout (warmup included) in 15-20 min

Keep in mind, I had to superset EVERYTHING... I was breathing like I was running a sprint throughout the entire thing. The manager let me run a bit late, but he had somewhere to be so he couldn't let me stay as he often does. I did not get anywhere near as good of a workout as I had planned, however, I was shocked at my endurance. I usually require quite a bit of rest, but I went Shoulder - bicep - tricep whenever I could. At first, I superset only shoulder and biceps, and when I was done with shoulders I finished the supersets with triceps-biceps.

5 min warmup (realized at the end that the place was closing down)

MASSIVE MEGA-SET
Shoulders
Dumbbell Overhead press
45 x15
50 x10
55 x10
50 x7

Barbell Seated Press
65 x12
75 x10
85 x 8

Biceps
Barbell Curl
50 x12
60 x10

EZ Bar Curls
60 x9
70 x8

Reverse BB Curls
40 x10
50 x9
50 x7

Triceps
Decline Tricep Extensions
60 x10
70 x9

Cable Pressdowns
110 x10

Completely rested up with no soreness, so I was planning on a chest/back workout tonight. However, a friend has tickets to the Titans/Colts game tonight, so I'll most likely head to the stadium instead!

I hear you, bro. I've hardly been around much myself. Catching up on all these logs is taking forever!

As much as I love working out, I would go to the game, personally. :D

It's decided. I'm going to the game.

Oh, I made a MASSIVE order to NP last night (the wife's gonna kill me... I spent waaaaayyyyy too much at NP this month to stock up on bulks, replenish staples, prepare for February cut, try new things, and to hook myself up with my first test stack). I'm such an addict... I need help.

1 x DCP (180 caps)
1 x Relora (120 caps)
1 x Coleus Forskholii (20%) (30 grams)
1 x Bulk 1-carboxy-2-amino- 3-pyrobenzol (3,4 diol) (100 grams)
3 x Grape Seed Extract 95% (50 grams) *huge clearance deal, could use the extra AOX
1 x Taurine Powder (100 gm) *extremely cheap, thought I'd give it an add
1 x TEA-GCG™ (Green Tea Caps) (100 caps) *some now, and...
1 x Green Tea Powder (50% EGCG) (100 gm) *... some for the cut cycle
2 x Blue Up-Stim Free (60 caps)
1 x TNT Stack™ (Testosterone Complex) *grabbed this just in time, out of stock now

I still have a bottle of Anabolic Edge and Blue Gene to run, but have been holding off while I decide what to do next. Looks like a test boost! The wife is stocking up on lube, because I'm gonna be running...

Glad to see you are going to the game. Have some fun. You deserve it. Especially with those superset workouts. Man, that must have been tough. That is A LOT of sets for a twenty minute workout.

That looks like a sick stash of supps you've got, dude. Make sure when you take the Blue Gene and Anabolic Edge you stack the two of those. Very synergestic ingredients, I find. I logged both seperately, and I really think they would work great together.

That's great advice! I bought the AE with the intention of stacking with BG, but kept second-guessing myself and had decided to run them individually. I'm very glad you mentioned this, and will take your advice to stack them (f'ing excited about it, lol).

I'm almost excited about my first true cut this Feb. I've been putting together an enormous stack to focus on metabolism, nutrient repartitioning, cortisol control, and will be doing BCAA-enabled fasted cardio. Double-stacking thermos, triple-stacking partitioners, this is gonna be f'ing nuts from what I've got so far. Still writing up my diet plan, but it won't be complete til my bulk is done as I need some final numbers to crunch. It's gonna be tough, but my first cut/recomp went REALLY well as I was getting much larger while dropping pounds/waist sizes the entire time. Gonna try to bump it up a notch without losing too much muscle...
+ DCP / AP / NeoVar (maybe),
+ Recreate / Phenadrine (or another thermo),
+ Forskohlii,
+ tons of antioxidants, and
+ Napalm for the final month.

I was shocked at the reps / sets I was able to hammer out while supersetting even though I ended up having to drop the usual poundage. I was pumped beyond belief jogging out of the gym, while they were about to lock me in there. I did manage to get a good amount of rest between muscle groups due to how I setted them, but my shoulders pretty much burned the ENTIRE TIME haha. But mostly I was PISSED about not getting to take my time through my arm workout... until I got home and wrote it down (likely slightly erroneous, but I've gotten good at remembering the workouts). It was actually a decent workout, and I was not the least bit sore the next day.

My buddy didn't come through with the tickets... I'm heartbroken. @#$%^&*

What type of fasted cardio do you plan on doing? Low-int, mod-int, HIIT, etc.? If you are doing low-int or mod-int, I'd steer clear of the BCAAs and just go with bulk Leucine. It's the only BCAA that can't convert to glucose through gluconeogenesis. Since HIIT uses glucose, it's fine to suck down BCAAs during it, and you damn-well better if you are doing HIIT fasted, but I'd recommend just plain ol' water if you are doing any of the lighter forms of cardio.

My buddy didn't come through with the tickets... I'm heartbroken. @#$%^&*
Been there. I don't know why people do this. I'm sure I've been guilty of it in my younger years, but I wouldn't go telling someone, especially a good friend, that something is for sure going to go down when I'm not positive if it is or isn't.

Fasted - Low/Moderate Intensity
I'm planning low to moderate intensity for my fasted cardio. About 30-40 min at approx 60-65% of max heartrate.
Post-Workout / Non-fasted - HIIT
I'll be doing 15 min elliptical or bike HIIT at ~90% max heartrate on the days I cannot make it to the gym in the AM.

I learned about that property of leucine from your logs, and am most likely going to sip on bulk leucine or water for the fasted cardio. To be honest, until you said that above, I might have still used BCAAs on occaision out of fear of catabolism. I used to be a VERY hardgainer, and still have a terrible fear of losing my hard work through muscle cannibalism, hehe.

I greatly appreciate your input on this, as I'm still wading in a sea of misinformation, old thinking, and just plain ignorance at times. I always feel like I'm almost there with my diet, workouts, and supplementation, and these details are invaluable.

Just glad to help.

You've got the drive and intensity, and your workouts look great. I really think you'll do extremely well reaching your goals in your set time-frame.

I am trying to absorb as much info as I can right now :D well only on nutrition and supplementation, learning about training doesn't intrigue me :wtf:

Well, nutrition and supplementation is exciting and fun. Be careful, or you'll start dumping an excessive portion of your paycheck, lol. Exercise science is equally fun for me, but simply because I still have a ton to learn :P

Haha I know what you mean! I see a good looking product and its hard to refuse to buy it. I guess I like the whole science part of what muscles get used but other wise nah.

I'm shifting the focus of my chest workouts back to incline. I still have a bit of work to develop the upper pecs, but I've made a TON of progress since first starting this year. Initially, I had a huge imbalance, but that was cleared up by a few months of incline focus.

Hammerstrength Lat/back pulldowns weights listed for each arm
These are a downward / back pulling motion. I had a great idea after watching some bicep workout on youtube the other day. Basically, on an alternating motion, I hold the non-working side at peak contraction throughout the opposite working arm's motion. Felt REALLY strong on these, even though my back is usually completely worn out by now.

Ahhhh I see you're taking bulk P-Slin as well. If I notice this stuff really works I'd like to get more, but I don't know how much longer it's going to be in stock.

Yeah, I'm not sure yet. I don't really feel much before downing my carbs or after. However, I've only dosed 4 times so far. Worth a shot, and I don't need to feel something to believe it's working if I know the MOA. It's reassuring to know that I'm getting my post-workout protein, carbs, vitamins, and such are getting shuttled into my muscle fiber :P

It's a slightly different formula than the capped p-slin, and I think specifically to allow multiple doses per day according to Jacob.
