Question about drinking

I know nothing...
I don't drink all week and then I go out, have 3-4 beers, and I just start going to the bathroom every 10 minutes and get dehydrated pretty bad, just from a couple of beers, then feel like **** the next morning because of that. What is the best way to deal with dehydration and why does it get so bad just from few beers?

with me if i drink bud,im thirsty as a horse the next morn, but if i drink hein,then its not so bad.i think it depends on the alchohol content of the booze and how your body reacts to it.it most likely draws the moisture out of your body,being that our body is mostly water so youll feel the ill effects from that depleation of water!..could be a hangover!just drink lots of water!
 
sounds like you are seriously dehydrated. you're water consumption if i had to guess would be 1-2 liters per day, where you should be drinking close to 4. if that doesn't help, try one of those "hangover pills" i see at 7-11.

drink more water.

Because you were already dehydrated and the alcohol just exacerbated the situation.

Dont buy 'hangover pills" or anything like that, just a marketing scheme, they hold no ingredients that will help prevent anything.
 
Of course you could also cut back to only a couple of beers a little more slowly......well it's a an idea....LOL
 
Well, that's the thing, I'm pretty hydrated, but as soon as I have few beers, I just start going to the bathroom every 5-10 minutes and get dehydrated in a couple of hours, just from few beers. I drink Hefeweizen by Widmere, but I might try something else.
 
I pound water when I'm drinking...kangen water is amazing for hangover management haha.

....but I drink like a ****ing fish. I throw down three or four beers just to chill out after hammering a fifth. I have a tolerance form He|l
 
You may have a deficiency of the Alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme. Allowing alcohol to circulate your blood longer and faster than most.

ETOH or ethanol prevents the body from releasing ADH (Anti-Diuretic Hormone or Vasopressin) from the pituitary gland. ADH is normally released by the body as a major pathway of reabsorbing water within the kidneys. Inhibition of this hormone is one of the major contributing factors to dehydration with Etoh ingestion.

Many factors can come into play such as, current hydration status, and total amount of etoh ingested. Your body also uses water to metabolize etoh, and draws it away from available resources further contributing to a dehydration issue.

The best advice i can give it to have a glass of water after every beer. I know it sounds retarded, and you'll be pissing a lot, but it will help to further prevent a dehydrated state.

Before bed, it's absolutely paramount to replace lost electrolytes and B vitamins. Many B vitamins are used up an poorly absorbed due to etoh ingestion. I recommend a b-complex formulation before bed. Replacing sodium/glucose helps your body to retain its hydration status and prevent the situation from becoming worse. Gatorade to the rescue!

Thanks, man. I will try that. It just pisses me off, that I wake up with headache and hangover like feeling when I had only 4-5 beers and didn't even feel tipsy at all.
 
when i drink and it is only about once every 6 weeks i dont care if i finish drinking 10 at night or 2 in the am i starting hitting the water hard as a matter of fact i have a glass of water between drinks every now and then
 
I have the same deal. i drink vodka, maybe every 3-4 months or so.
Heres what i do, almost a regualr process everytime...

Creatine and Glycerol Mono Sterate in the late morn. lots of water, about 3/4 gal by 1pm or so.

GH releasing supps in the late noon.

Lots of greens and protein all day.

Shake and Omega-3 or fish oils about 1-2 hours prior to drinking.

Basically all day water and muscle preservative cautions. by drinking time i already have about 1-1 1/2 gal water down, gatorade too. I also slam about 2 glasses of water right before i lay down.

Alcohol pulls water from the muscle and is stroed in the muscle. I pee like no tomorrow when i drink. starts regular moderate color, clear within 30-45 minutes.

Also, pop a multi mid night. I always do.
 
chug a liter of water with your zma right before you go to sleep. you'll probably wake up real early to piss, and when you do, take 2 or 3 ibuprofen and chug some pedialyte and then go back to sleep for a few more hours. guaranteed no hangover when you wake up.

Throw in a multi too.

When i get back to my place drunk I eat a few multi's and never have a hangover; or at the very least an abbreviated one.

Is this a new thing for you or has this always been the case? How long have you been drinking, how old are you?

If you know any Corpsman, Medics, Nurses or someone like that you can get them to give you an IV before you hit the rack.
