All higher lifeforms require a subtle and complex electrolyte balance between the intracellular and extracellular milieu. In particular, the maintenance of precise osmotic gradients of electrolytes is important. Such gradients affect and regulate the hydration of the body, blood pH, and are critical for nerve and muscle function. Various mechanisms exist in living species that keep the concentrations of different electrolytes under tight control.
Both muscle tissue and neurons are considered electric tissues of the body. Muscles and neurons are activated by electrolyte activity between the extracellular fluid or interstitial fluid, and intracellular fluid. Electrolytes may enter or leave the cell membrane through specialized protein structures embedded in the plasma membrane called ion channels. For example, muscle contraction is dependent upon the presence of calcium (Ca2+), sodium (Na+), and potassium (K+). Without sufficient levels of these key electrolytes, muscle weakness or severe muscle contractions may occur.
recommend portion on glycergrow is huge
Recommended dose is 3 small scoops pre workout, only on workout days. Not really huge IMO, considering there's 120+ servings in the tub at this dose.
you must take a huge! amount of water with it
This is true with GMS as well. The more water you take, the better your results will be.
plus it takes weirdly sweet and the stuff sticks to the cup, maybe if you leave it there for 30, itl go away
Yup, we recommend scooping it directly in your mouth, as the water solubility is an issue (quite obvious why.)
i've been looking into glycergrow lately. it's very well priced for a non-bulk product if I am reading the label correctly
GMS from Nutra does not dissolve. Be prepared to just dump some in small glasses and chug it down that way.
Mixing 2tsp in a larger mixer didn't work so well for me.
Does glycergrow have the same problem with dissolving?
yeah, the glycergrow has the same warning on the label, saying that it won't really mix. the price on glycergrow seems comparable to a bulk product with some extras, which is reasonable considering it only has a few ingredients and is unflavored.
I was a bulk GMS guy but I am dissapointed with how fast the bulk goes... I am going to have to go gms in the future
