Another Week 2 Prime Review!!

OK guys, this is my first review so bare with me...I might get a little long winded...I apologize in advance.

My background

36yo
Training = 13 years
5'8" 192lb
15% BF

Supplement history = Everything in the book! Some from back in the day....
OG Ultimate Orange (swear it had amphetimines in it!)
OG Andro by AST (Made my balls hurt so I tossed it after day 5!!)
OG Ephedra (Dimetadrine 25 by AST)....and you name it from back in the day.
I swore off supps except Creatine because of all the Muscletech BS marketing in early 2k....Ive always been inquisitive so I try to do my homework and make the best decisions, but early on I got burnt like the rest of us...Cybergenics ring a bell anyone? ;-)

Fast forward to today: USP is one of the only brands I trust. AP and Powerfull are IMO, two of the best supps ever. So I signed up for the Inner Circle, and got in on several releases, including Recreate which has become another staple of mine. Most hormonal I have ever gone was the AX MassFX/Hper/retain last fall.

The reason why I'm giving so much background, is to offer you a perspective on my experience with supps, which I consider to be quite extensive...blah, blah...

So admittedly I both: #1 Want to like Prime because its USP, #2 am skeptical of the marketing, which seemed very unusual for USP this time around....

My reason for trying Prime (or any "Anabolic")

Currently I play upper-level, travel tournament softball, and by the time fall rolls around, between weekend tourneys and league nights with the guys, ive gotten over 100 games in. That coupled with work travel means during the season (June-Oct), I might only get to the gym 1-2 times per week.
Typically over a season I would drop 5-8 lbs, and lose TONS of strength, I have been looking for something that would help me minimize that. Last year I thought I found it with the AX stack, now I believe I have done it (without a hormonal) in finding PRIME!

After two weeks here is what I have experienced

Week one

Increased Hunger
Great pumps, in and out of the gym, I can get the arms tight with a couple flexes. For whatever reason the muscles just feel full.
"Alpha Male" = Feels similar to being on the AX stack last year, but not quite as mean.

Week Two

STRENGTH! Typically my 15 rep/3set flat bench weight drops from 225 to 205/195 every off season. In my first week back in the gym, last week (after a full week on Prime). I got 225 for 15, 14, and 13. This is after 6 straight weeks of work travel, and weekday/weekend tourney ball!!! No change in diet, etc....This has not happened for me...EVER! I know these weights might not seem like much to most of you monsters, but this is REAL exciting results for me. This means I will not lose my offseason gains, and be able to move forward with power training instead of being at square 1 every September....

I am very excited to see what the next 6 weeks have in store for me.

I still have some lingering questions in my mind though about the marketing of the "dosing" protocol. It does not seem that there is any clinical reason for 5 days on, 2 days off. "Smashing your CNS" is not a clinical reason, and I hope its not a tactic to market a 20 dose bottle, as a 30 dose and get away with it.....Listen man, I love you guys at USP, and I trust ya like few others....I just am having a hard time with that one....If im way off base take me to school on it...LMK

Right now for me, this stuff is off the hook, real results I can see immediately. Another winner by USP. Muscle Tech and all the others can EAD.
 
Hey Snap, I'm looking forward to your progress. I'm really interested in Prime but I'm dealing with an injury and may not be back in the gym until January. I'll be interested to see how your cycle works out.

Oh absolutely.

Quickie that isnt related to lifting. Im really attacking the ball at the plate due to the slight aggression from Prime. Hit a line drive homer today that never got more than 15ft off the ground. Im mostly a gap double/triple hitter who hits it hard, but tonight everything was a complete piss rocket. :woohoo:
 
I'm assuming prime is good for sports, pretty sweet.

I can only tell you my experience, seems there's lots of e-fights on the board about this stuff. So Im putting the disclaimer that these are my results only. Oh and I am not taking 7 other compounds like most maniacs on this board. Just Prime.:fool2:

If you play competitive level sports it might not be a bad try. Not sure if you would test out, I dont think you would just cause of the compound....that would be a question for USP.

The sports team that finds this product and implements it as a team would be hard to beat if they are a good team.

Why> because recovery is a huge aspect in performance. USPlabs significantly increases recovery from exercise!
 
This is excellent. I can imagine that PowerFULL and PRIME would be a lethal combination (for the opposing team, at least).

I absolutely love the 1. Aggression, strength and recovery from PRIME. 2. Reaction time, focus and clarity from PowerFULL.

I will be watching for more updates, this is really interesting to me.
 
Unsponsered, unbias Prime review

I'm nearly finished with week 4 on Prime. I've been dosing 5 days on and two days off as suggested. I'm certain this is only to make a bottle last for 30 days. I take 8 tabs/day, two with each meal and two before bed. I'm using Prime as a stand alone and keeping my training and diet consistant. I did not notice anything other than better recovery for the first three weeks. Since my primary goal is to increase muscle mass, out of frustration I increased my calories about 500/day during week four and have gained about 3-4 lbs although my waist has increased a little as well. One thing I can say is that this stuff does dramatically increases recovery. No matter how hard or how long I lift I never get sore. My muscles feel tight for several days but never sore. I think this is why many people say they feel pumped all the time. In the gym pumps are about normal. It has also helped my sleep and my energy levels. I don't get that after lunch lethargic feeling like normal. As far as strength is concerned, it has increased my strength somewhat but nothing dramatic and it's not consistant. Some days my strength is up and other days it is about normal.

So far I think that Prime is the best non-hormonal product that I have used. It does not live up to the hype I don't think anything can, not even real gear. So most people are probably going to be somewhat disappointed in their results.

IMO it is drastically overpriced for the results to get, about $30per bottle would be about right and would encourage users to go for longer cycles.

I have another two weeks before I need to make a decision whether to buy another bottle and continue the cycle. I can get better results for less money, but then there are hormonal issues to consider. After I have finished with Prime, I plan on taking 11 OXO for a spin.
 
i totally agree about the dosing on prime and i know a lot of others feel the same about the dosing and pricing of Prime. Dont get me wrong, im a big fan of USP labs and Prime but cant help but feel cheated with the dosing and number of caps per bottle.

I tried both methods with prime - 5 on and 2 off and dosing everyday and dosing everyday gave me superior results without working out anymore days than usuall so it does make me wonder about the reasons for usp's convenient dosing protocol for this particular product...
 
im doing 4 days prime and 3 days powerfull and im so happey with it, im from canada and most of the supp here is sh#t so im so happy with USP.

I ran it straight through last time and had great results, I'm having to do the 5 days on, 2 day off at the moment (but I've only managed to do 1 day off so far, it's just too tempting). The strength effects are so acute and prevalent that I sort of look forward to each workout to see what's going to happen today.
