Yes.
The facts:
She had multiple affairs.
Her current affair is with her boss from Church.
She left with my daughter.
She sued me for Child Support and Spousal Support. I pay her $30K a year.
She resigned from her Church job, but kept her job as a Kindergarten teacher. But, the courts will not consider her $20K Church salary when determining her Spousal Support. That means I pay a lot more.
She moved out - and had found a new place (actually her lover found it for her) before I learned she was humping another guy. But I have continued to pay the mortgage payment rather than allow my credit to turn to sh!t. But when we sell the house she will benefit from the resulting reduction in outstanding loan amount based on the payments I've made (the court will not allow us to use the mortgage balance as of the date of separation).
She has petitioned for me to pay her about $500.mo for every month that I've lived in the house since the date of separation, because she claims that if I had to rent/lease a house it would cost $1000 more a month; so I should pay her $500/mo - even though I've already paid the mortgage and have paid her child support and spousal support.
And I might have the luxury of paying her attorney's fees.
Oh, and I live in a no-fault divorce state.
If you are male and make more money than the person you are divorcing, get ready. Financially it is like having a motor home driven up your butt.
