my misunderstanding about testosterone...

If steroids shut down your natural testosterone then how do wet steroids like test E boost your libido, and dry steroids shut it down? i have something wrong here, i dont get it

Also, if u took bloodwork in the middle of ur cycle would both wet and dry steroids show the same natural test levels? i dont get why when a wrestler or athlete test dirty for steroids the report always says "they had 10X the natural testosterone in their body" ?

Pdigs - Let me fling this at you... if you're adding exogenous testosterone to your body eventually your body will decide that it no longer needs to produce its own testosterone and it will shut down production. Your libido will be high because you'll have high to very high testosterone levels (depending on how much you inject), even though it is from exogenous sources. Once you stop the addition of exogenous testosterone (i.e. stop injecting) your libido typically goes to hell. This is because without the injections your test levels fall and your body has not restarted its production of endogenous testosterone. This is the purpose of a PCT, to restart endogenous testosterone production and get you back to "normal."

As for the wet and dry stuff, just ease back... you're confusing yourself.

Maybe marinate on that and then come back and rephrase the question?
 
his question has to do with the different types of steroids and why some destroy libido, while others amplify it while on the cycle

he is differentiating them by wet and dry, ie phera and epistane.

You're mixing up a few different things that happen. All steroids shutdown your natural production of testosterone. Something like test e boosts your libido because even though your own is shut off, you're injecting enough to increases total testosterone - albeit from exogenous source. The difference between wet and dry is whether or not they aromatize into estrogen. Wet compounds cause estrogen side effects, while dry compounds do not. Dry compounds can sometimes cause the drop in libido by causing estrogen to decrease low enough the libido disappears, since some estrogen is necessary for libido. Wet compounds don't always have this problem because they can convert into estrogen.

It all depends on the compound, but doesn't have much to do with wet or dry. Those really aren't technical terms.

They had 10x times the number of androgens in their system, not necessarily "natural testosterone."

Wet steroids would be known as androgens....they work particularly hard against suppressing your own test production. Dry steroids would be anabolics...they also cause suppression, and sometimes just as bad as androgens do. Your libido is raised because your test levels are high from the synthetic test you're taking in the form of injections.

I had a client who was taking 500mgs of cypionate a week....when he had his bloodwork done, his levels came back at almost 3000ng/dl.....that would be waaay high. Same things happens when an athlete gets caught.

umm i thought libido has to do with testosterone, estrogen would make it go away.
 
Steroids can increase your libido because your body has a negative feedback loop. Meaning that it has a counter balance between test and estrogen. When you go on high amounts of test you in turn have high amounts of estrogen which is why some people get gyno. When you come off of steroids your test drops but your estrogen remains elevated for some time to try to get the test to match. Your body trys to keep that balance in check by making more test, therefore you get the increase in libido in some men after steroids. Its what docs do for men with low test.
