My proposed Epistane Cycle

Well, I kinda screwed up on the food intake yesterday so I will consider that my cheat day. LOL My buddies called from waffle house and I took them up on it. Then I was offered tickets to the Cowboys preseason game. The game was boring, but I had some nachos and a burger. I did stay away from the beer which was impossible in the past. This morn I weighed 202.5 dry. Today is my off day, but I might try for a little cardio and ab work if we get off early for the holiday weekend.
 
You'll be loving the workouts in a week or two. Try to watch what you're eating on this stuff. I started going crazy 2-3 weeks in and gained alittle fat. Just keep working out and the results will keep you motivated.
 
This morning I weighed in at 203.5. I also went in for my leg workout today consisting of the following:

Lunges
3 x 10 per leg with 94lbs

Sqats
1 x 8 warmup set with 135lbs
1 x 10 with 225
1 x 10 with 245
1 x 10 with 265

I am starting to get stronger here and will be throwing up more weight next week fo sho.

Leg Press
2 x 10 at 285
1 x 10 at 295

Calf press on Leg Press machine
1 x 10 at 165
2 x 10 at 185

Leg Extension
3 x 10 at 160

Hamstring extension
2 x 10 at 100
1 x 10 at 110

Felt great pump today and today was day 4 at 40mg. I have great agression in the gym and when I am not in the gmy I want to be. So far no major sides. Libido is still in check according to my testing this morning. ;-) I am kinda suprised to be up 4lbs in week 1 on Epistane. For the most part I have kept the diet in check so I don't feel it is from sheer calories. No worries though as I know by the end of this cycle I will be closer to my goals.

Another note...I fell for the USPLabs Prime hype and plan to integrade that into the PCT portion. I went ahead and grabbed 2 bottles. Thoughts abould bringing it in during the cycle vs. waiting for PCT?
 
Like others have said, forget about the scale. 4 pounds in a week is good! You can look in the mirror and know if it's "good weight".

As for the PRIME, the only info I found was Invalid Link Removed. I figured hell 2 bottles for $60 is cheaper than a bad night at the strip club so what the hell. :-) If it doesn't work, I am sure the Epi frontload will really give me the gains I need anyway.

Today is chest/tris and I have to work my schedule around the holiday hours at my rec center. I will also be taking the kids swimming today so that should be a little cardio.

This morning I weighed in at 204lbs and not really having any negative sides so far. I know I was more moody on M-Drol than I have been so far on Epistane. Hope everyone has a great Labor Day holiday!

That makes sense... it takes like 2 days for Mdrol to start shutting you down.
 
Yesterday was Chest/Tris and I went to the gym close to the house due to holiday hours. Therefore I had to change the routine a bit.

Dumbbell bench
3 x 10 using 75lb dumb bells.

Incline Dumbbell bench
3 x 10 using 55lb dumb bells.

Dumbbell Flies
3 x 10 using 30lb dumb bells.

Triceps
3 x 10 Skull crushers/close grip bench with EZ bar. (40lb)

Weighted Dips from bench
3 x 10 with 25lb plate on lap

Tricep Press Down Machine
3 x 10 with 90lbs

Tricep Kickbacks
2 x 10 with 20lbs

Abs

Ab Rotation
80 reps (40 each direction) on Ab Rotation machine

Decline Situps
3 x 20

Side Bends
2 x 20 with 40lb dumbbells

I will say the Epi has been great for week 1. I weighed in at 205lbs this morning which is 6lbs in 1 week. Although my diet was less strict than it should have been I have not been gorging myself and I would say my calorie intake was below 3000. I am still trying to get it in my head not to focus on the scale, but it is hard when that is how I judged progress previously.

I do feel stronger so far and Epi is not supposed to really kick in until week 2. This week I will be at 40mg as well and no sides to speak of. No acne, I am bald already so no additional hair loss, back has been a tad tight, but not sore.
 
You have Taurine on hand right? Pumps are a b*tch.

Yeah. Currently taking 1500mg per day across 3 doses. I just purchased the 1000mg caps and debating 2000mg or 3000mg per day. So far the back pumps are not bad. M-Drol had me where I couldn't do situps after week 2 (No taurine during that cycle).

You really only need to dose it an hour or so before workout... You should pop 3,000 to 4,000... If you choose to dose on off days - thats your choice. I did have pumps once in awhile on non-workout days, but not severe at all.
 
Last night was back/abs. Pretty much the same routine as before with a few notables.

Pullups
I manned up and was able to do 4 sets of 5 on a normal pullup bar (No assist). Went on to the remaining exercises and finished up with 1 x 10 on the weight assisted machine to finish the day using (30lbs assist)

Back Extension machine

I hit my goal of 3 x 10 sets at 295lbs (max weight)

Seated Cable Rows
2 x 10 using 200lbs (This is the machine max)
2 x 10 using 200lbs and I stuck a 35lb plate on the pin. That felt better.

Also did the normal barbell rows, dumbbell rows, lat pull down, decline situps, weighted side bends and ab crunch machine.

I also did the deadlift 3 x 8 with 225. I know I could lift more here, but my hands couldn't take it. For all you bad mofos that push crazy weights with deads do you use gloves or wraps?
 
This morning was Biceps/shoulders.

Hammer curls
3 x 10 per side (45lb, 40lb and 35lb)

Isolated curls
3 x 10 with 30lb dumbbell

Incline curls
3 x 10 with 30lbs

EZ bar curl 21s
3 sets

Shoulders consisted of military dumbbell press, barbell/dumbbell shrugs, side raises, front raises.

I also finished up the morning with 2 miles in 14 minutes on the elliptical.

This morning I continued to be in the 203lb range, but I can see some difference already. Still feel great, mood is good, libido is high, no acne, etc.
 
sounds like your doing good man, and if you want to get straps you will be able to do more weight, but I only use them if I am doing 5 or fewer reps (need those forearms to grow). :thumbsup:

I use the standard cheap cotton wraps. Careful - the first few times my wrists hurt afterwards for a few days after using them... But it actually turned out making them a lot stronger.
 
sounds like your doing good man, and if you want to get straps you will be able to do more weight, but I only use them if I am doing 5 or fewer reps (need those forearms to grow). :thumbsup:

Thats a good idea. I tend to use them only on my work sets... Pretty much everything over 200 pounds. Also, I need to use them more on my sets later in the workout from hand fatigue.
 
I use the same cheap cotton straps for my heavier DL's, BB Rows.
I try not to use them alot. Don't let your grip/forearm strength stop you from lifting heavier. Straps help lot when going for a couple extra reps.

Your hands get used to it after a while. I use wraps some of the time, they make it considerably easier in the later reps of a set.
 
Last night I hit abs at the house using the exercise ball. Did 100 crunches on the ball. After that I did 3 reps of 20 pushups with the legs on the ball.

This morning was legs day. Kinda frustrating since some young buck felt he had to do his bench press and incline press in the only squat rack. I guess those 6 reps of 175 necessitate protection.

I did feel pretty stong with my squats and this was saving them for almost last. Before I got to squats I did lunges, leg press and quad curls. My squats consisted of the following:
1 x 10 with 225
1 x 8 with 245
1 x 8 with 265
1 x 4 with 315 (I was fuggin stoked to know I could push that much)

As for the Epi details. Still at 40mgs and this is day 13 of the cycle. I weighed in at 205lbs this morning which is up around 6lbs from where I started. No major sides, although I can feel the back pumps moreso now than before. It is a manageable tightness especially with the taurine in place. I have not done any measurements, but I can see more definition and bulk almost everywhere and my gut seems to be getting a tad smaller/tighter which is an added benefit.

Welcome aboard. I understand how school takes its toll. My 3 squids are in school now. Oldest is in 5th, middle kid is in 2nd and the youngest is in Pre-K. Add that with after school soccer, dance class for the daughter and kids homework it makes it fairly easy to understand how I told myself I didn't have time to work out. Now, I schedule things around my workout schedule and take some time from the family.

I think the lethargy might be setting in a tad because I am dragging today as well. Is Vitamin C or DHEA something I should add to assist if this continues? DHEA helped me a bit homie... Vitamin C was Thunda's suggestion that I didn't end up doing for no particular reason.

Nothing helped the lethargy completely until I started housing more carbs.

Also finished with 60 decline situps before my daughter finished with her hip hop dance class.

I can really tell than I am pushing myself moreso than ever as I am sore the day after workouts. My previous routine had me feeling no ill affects afterwards. I am also feeling more enegized today so hopefully it was just a case of the Mondays. :-) Still around the 205 mark (204.5lbs today) so no additional gain this week.

Any thoughts on bumping to 50mg for week 4 vs staying at 40mg until week 5? Any positives to upping the dosage? So far all sides have been manageable and I don't feel shut down.

50 mg is as high as I felt good at. 60mg was too much for me. It isn't for others, but it was for me. I think 40mg is a good dose. It's day 15 or so... give yourself a bump up 10mg and see how you feel. Right about now is when the real gains should be kicking in.

BTW, you're doing great dawg, you're sticking to the game-plan and making it work! Keep it up... just get ready for the 67 and a half emails you are gonna get at the end of this cycle from guys wanting advice. lol!

I am honestly feeling good and it is definately giving me the alpha male complex at times especially when the pump sets in. :woohoo:

I think I am way down the line on folks peple would look to for advice, but I am willing to pass on the knowledge I have gained. I was walking past a guy up at work that knows I have been working out for a while, but he has never said much. Today he actually commented that I was looking big today. It is funny that comments from other guys mean almost as much as chicks comments these days.
 
Tonight was the Back and Abs (I think I have those) workout. Back workout consisted of Deads, Barbell and dumbell rows, reverse flies, pullups, Back extension machine and cable machine rows.

Ab workout consisted of 40 decline situps, weighted side bends, weighted crunch machine (100 reps) and exercise ball crunches.

Still weighing in about the same, and no major sides. Back pump is there and can be uncomfortable. Today I felt like an animal in the gym and the full body pump was great. I also hit forearms which got had the veins in my arms trying to pop out. Man that felt great. Also, I decided to stick with my plan of 40mg until week 5 for 2 reasons. First I am feeling good and Epi is doing what it is supposed to do so no need to rush it. Second I have enough for my origional plan and don't want to buy more.

Besides that Epi is treating me pretty good and I am still maintaining the same weight, but the strength is up. I added some DHEA yesterday to hopefully battle some of the lethargy that is setting in.

Luckily all we received was rain and some winds. My in-laws homes in Houston and Clear Lake were hit pretty hard.

Sunday I went to the gym to blow up my legs. I was pretty impressed with my strength. Squats I did 1x10 @ 225lbs, 1 x 10 @ 295, 1 x 3 @ 345 (Personal Record) and finished with 1 x 10 @ 225. I also did lunges, Leg press, Leg Extension and quad extions before jumping to my ab work.

Still feel pretty good and this is my last week at 40mg. The only strange thing is I have a few bruises (1 on my calf, one on my knee and one on my bicep). I don't recall getting into a fight or anything that would have caused it. It did make me nervous seeing the post where a guy tore his bicep though.

As for weight, I still have not moved past the 205 - 206 range which is a tad suprising to me seeing that I hit 205 in week 1. Any ideas? Should I be concerned that I am not putting on weight. Besides equating affectiveness with weight gain I am pretty happy with the changes. I feel tighter and more defined (more recomp than bulk) which I am OK with. Besides that I have had no other issues with Epistane and I am pleased with the compond. By week 3 on M-Drol I had had enough, but Epi is very mild in comparison.

Don't sweat the weight. You're getting stronger / leaning out / and recomping... Couldn't ask for more.

The bruises are problematic... Make sure you are stretching before and after your lifting - and also bringing the weight up slowly. You're probably creating some minor tears that are bleeding internally - not a big deal now, but a partial or full tear would be the effective end of your cycle.

Your bruises are more than likely just from lifting and the weights. Whenever I do dumbell press I get bruises on my upper quads/knees from setting 100+lbs dumbbells on them. I wouldn't stress the bruises unless you start getting more.

I stopped gaining weight after 3 weeks or so... I my body just kept changing composition at the same weight.
 
The bruses are not terrible, but to have 3 pop up and not know how they got there is a tad un-nerving.

My back pumps are pretty minimal, but I am dosing 400mg of taurine daily to keep them in check. :-) When I was running the M-Drol cycle, the back pumps made it damn near impossible for me to do decline situps. Epistane with taurine has not prevented me from doing any of the lifts/exercises.
 
Monday was chest and tris day. Workout consisted of 3 x 10 of Barbell Incline and Flat Bench. I was able to do a 3 rep max of 235 on the flat bench after I was done. I was pretty happy by that and felt I could max out around 265 if I did my max after a warmup set. I still want to hit my goal of 300lbs bench soon.

Also hit dumbbell bench, cable flies, skull crushers/close grip bench, tricep press down, dips, tricep press down machine and tricep kick backs. After chest and tris I did 60 decline situps and 100 reps on the ab crunch machine.

This morning I weighed in at 207.5 which is up around 8lbs for the 3+ weeks I have been on Epi. I will still say the sides have been very minimal and I would recommend this PH to someone looking for gains without the superdrol sides. I counted the remaining pills and I will stay at 40mg until Sunday. At that point I will go to 50mg and continue that for the last 2 weeks of the cycle barring any setbacks.

As for other details: aggression is higher, but I attribute that to the wife pissing me off. That has affected libido as well since she won't allow me to have a girlfriend. :-) Bacne is minor so far and nowhere near as bad as M-Drol and back pumps are still manageable.

I didn't get any bacne from the super dose of H Drol - so hopefully I'll steer clear.

I had more chest acne than bacne on the M-Drol. I started getting bacne more during my crappy Formadrol Extreme PCT.
