Chronic Sinusitis.... Relief???

I've been getting chronic sinusitis with frequent sinus infections for quite some time now. I've gone to an ENT and got CT Scans of the sinus and brain. At one point my ethmoid sinus was a bit inflamed, but other than that nothing to note. I've been receiving allergy shots for about 2 years now. I'm using nasacort aq and zyrtec for allergies, but still suffer from sinusitis. I've made an appointment with a different ENT and will ask for an MRI this time to see if I happen to have a polyp or something that can't be seen on a ct scan. Have any of you had a situation like this and found relief from a home brew concoction or otc product? I've read about quericiten...I was gonna stop by VS and pick up a bottle. I'd love to hear any suggestions. I also use a neti pot to help clear sinus'. I never have runny nose, sneezing, etc,,, just pressure .
 
I use a neti pot with warm water, non iodized salt and hydrogen peroxide.

Put a 1/4 tsp of salt, 3 caps of hydro, fill the rest with water. Mix it with a knife or spoon. Instead of just running the water through, I plug the opposite nostril and feel it fill up my nasal passages. It does burn a little. When I feel it's full I quickly cap off the other side and bend over to get it everywhere in my sinuses.

Repeat this a couple times, letting it drain and blowing it out.

To people who are going to say, "You are not supposed to put Hydrogen Peroxide in your body".

Don't try this then. One thing I've found is that it really opens up my sinuses. I was thinking about filling a larger bag with a tube with this mix so I didn't have to constantly keep mixing stuff up. Oh well, maybe soon. Let me know how it goes for you.

If you do mix it up to have it ready to go, make sure you put this mix into a container that you cannot see through Light will turn hydrogen into water. So a pointer thought might help if you didnt know. Thats why a hydrogen bottle is in a brown container.

That's right. I have recently filled up and I lay on my back to get it way up into my sinuses. If you fill your sinuses with too much, the bubbles have nowhere to go. so it will drain into your throat. Leave a little room for the Hydrogen Peroxide to do it's work.
 
Allergies are a real pain, for sure!
I also use a Neti Pot. I use a salt and xylitol mixture.
~1/4 tsp non-iodized sea salt
~2 Tbsp xylitol
2 cups warm water

1 cup in each direction. Read the directions for the neti pot

I supplement this with Xlear (similar spray to above) when needed.

Never thought of hydrogen peroxide - will give this a try also.
Xylitol has antibacterial properties, which is why I gave it a try. There are numerous "recipes" on the web for this sort of thing also.

I started taking Quercetin and its helped like no other treatment I have ever used. I just bought the VS brand derived from legumes. I'd recommend this to anyone. I've been on allergy shots, pills, nasal sprays, etc...,, nothing worked like Quercetin has. Cheap too!
 
In my personal experience, I've had really good relief with the neil med sinus rinse vs the neti pot. Either one you should absolutely look into.
