I was just curious to see how many have this same trouble I have whenever they try to access the board at work. This is not the only board I have this problem on because I also represent NutraPlanet at MindAndMuscle and it happens there too.

It is not an entire block of the site. At times it blocks "new post" [that is technically a search] and most often it blocks reading a thread, whether I click on last post or go in directly either through the specific forum or from new post results.

The above quote is most often, actually, I believe always the reason provided, but in this case it is my own thread. It has actually block the default home page which is msn.com. I have no adminstrative right to change the setting...I tried.

Ironically, after I post this I may not be able to read it or any replies. Though this may all be a blessing in disguise ;)
 
usually i cant read boards. AM works for me at work but sometimes it wont let me log in and i hate it when it doesnt. Only 3 sites i found that it lets me log into with no prob.
 
Yeah same here. Usually I cannot access forums. For some reason AM.com works, but BB.com and all the other ones seem to be screened out.
 
Im the guy that shuts down all the forums at work so AM stays !
You can always try using a proxy website to search through, that use to work but honestly I haven't tried it in a while so I don't know anymore.

I tried that. Worked for about 2 hours. The Big Brother (government) stopped it.

yea i had a big ass list of different proxy. then the USAF peeps found out about proxy servers and banned most of them. Til i found some more. Then they started threatening people that use proxy servers legal action. No one believe it til 2 people got in trouble. then it stop. Also only one pc at work lets me sign into AM. bekuz i guess i save the login as a cookie. lol or and muscle pharm forums work np for me!
 
Ironically, or frustartingly, it is hit or miss here to. I was unable to look at my log, the link posted, and this thread, now I can...WTF gives?
 
lol man your pc is just a hit or miss. mi just glad mine doesnt tease me it just lets me or it doesnt.
 
Your security settings are strict. Most corporations can't afford to get a virus on any network computer. You can try to add this site to your allowed list in the browser options.

It is an OEM software with a password protected administrator option. It is not a option for the end user to set in Mozilla or IE...tried that :)
 
bb.com is always open as is OM boards but they have gone out of their way to block sites esp the ones i browse on lol. i tried proxies and then i had proxy proxies and proxy proxy proxies but those all dont work now. it got to the point i had no other choice but to use my own connection.....how you ask?..........clearwire i just bring my connection with me and they dont have the ability to track what sites i go on unless i forget to clear the history.

It is a wireless internet service that uses Wi-Max technology. Wi-Max is/was supposed to be the next big thing in wireless technolgy. I think now though that the cell phone wireless internet service technolgy has surpassed Wimax technology.
 
I was considering for awhile getting something for my laptop so I csan access internet wherever.

The internet that I access on the blackberry is kinda slow plus it is a pain getting around websites abd the tiny keyboard but it is conviebt though.

I have a hard time going on sited with java. This site automatically shrinks when I accesd it.

The cell phone internet service is pretty expensive but you can get online anywhere cell phone service is available so you don't have to go searching for a "hot spot". It is too expensive for me and not worth it since I don't travel that often. Again, not super fast but fast enough and very portable.
 
ive never had any problems with the reception or speed with clearwire. I heard alot of bad things about it but since ive got it i see nothing but good.
 
Well the USAF uses a word check in the address bar for alot of thier web proxying. If it has forum in the name... no go. They could have something set where certain words on the page it self blocks you from going. I know bluecoat web proxy can do this.

That is exactly when I get restricted from time to time. See my opening post.

The thing is, it is hit or miss, where as some days or even hours later it lets me in the same thread it blocked previously.

I have seen a link with some rejection notices. I'll try to pay more close attention and click on it again. It brought me to a site where our company IT Administrator needs to log in with password in order to review and or update the setting. I'm thinking it is a (TM) Trend Micro Server Security Application
