Anabolic Pump/Recreate cutting cycle/log

Ok, Ok, I missed a day and you guys are already busting my balls. I write all of my lifts down in a journal, so I'll get it up here at one time or another.

I haven't been sleeping for sh*t lately, mainly because my puppy is as bad as a newborn when it comes to crying all night. I had to put him in a different room last night just to get to sleep. The little sh*t machine is asleep right now... lol... when I need to be up.

Anyway, other than my lack of sleep I have been feeling great. I think this lack of good sleep is taking its toll on my physique though, I just don't feel energized at all this morning... gonna submit to my caffeine cravings and dose myself before my workout. hehehe.

Anyway, here was my workout for Tuesday. I got me some legs.

Quad Extentions - 45x15, 45x15

Squats - 135x15, 185x15, 205x15, 225x10

RDL - 225x15, 315x4, 315x7 my PR!, 365x1. the 365 was easy. I am going for some more weight next time!

Leg Press superset with lunges - 225x15x3sets superset with me holding a plate and 20 lunges x 3 sets

Calves - 100lbs x20x 3 sets superset with 10x3 sets of bodyweight standing calves

Yesterday I did Abs and SSCV cardio.

20x 3 sets of hanging leg raises
50lbs x50x3 sets of cable exercise ball crunches

45 minutes on the elyptical

So I am off to go get my back and biceps. I am going to be chaning my back workout to more cables/isolation for this month of the cut. I am also going to be doing more dumbbell work with my biceps this month.

Once my life gets back to normal so should my posting schedual.

Time to hit the gym! :twisted:

Yeah! What's up with that? Which one are you taking again? The ON chocolate, right? Try the vanilla ice cream...it's friggin tasty, cheaper than muscle milk, and has much better nutritional value.

Thats really weird.. I get cut to *hit on Muscle Milk... But yes, I do occasionally shop at GNC. The alternative is paying more online, getting it shipped to my office (also $), then taking the crap on the subway back to my apartment. For some things it works... But generally a terrible idea. I mainly go to GNC to get in fights with the *ucktards that work there.

I've been enjoying it, but I think that' sjust because I went low-carb for so long. I really do think that this 4 week period is going to serve as kind of a "refeed", and allow my low-carb diet to be more effective in the weeks that follow. If it works out the way I'm expecting it to, I may begin to cycle moderate carb and low carb months.

It really just depends on your needs. I personally like carbs. My body tends to pack on weight easily, but not the kind that I really want. I'll probably keep myself WELL under 15% for the REST of my life. No need to go higher, I never want to be chubby again either.

Muscle milk makes me chubby. Don't really get that great of gains compared to taking a gainer. Man that cytogainer stuff by the same company, cytosport... I got to 199 on that stuff... almost broke the deuce... I'm gonna do it this time round, that was almost a year ago, probably more... and I had a way lower LBM. I wasn't a fatty, but I wasn't cut by any means... just growing and kinda soft. But if I break 200... I'll take a little soft... 200 has been a goal for a while... I think it's kind a useless goal at this point in time, but I'll get a kick out of hitting it nonetheless.

I personally react very well to carbs like whole grains and brown rice, however I really have to watch the fast digesting carbs.

I can eat protein like there is no tomarrow, doesn't really kill my appetite, i need some carbs. Even just some veggies or an apple, but I need something to fuel me. Ahh, you mother f'er... Nah man, when I train I eat mad peanut butter and jelly on wheat and low sugar oatmeal. I can cut down really low and tight on about 100 - 150g of carbs a day. I go low carb when I'm not training for a fight or not fighting... But I mean, my low carb is by no means anywhere near keto...

Man, just wait till I start this H-drol thing... Sheeeit, wait till I get a camera and you can see how much bigger than I am in my avatar.

My only real restrictions is absolutely no white flour / pasta / refined sugars.. I've been doing that for 2 years...

I'm not sure if I should trust our other dude here and try the vanilla casein.. I want to like the *hit, but not if it means I'm gonna blow chunks all over myself.
 
So today I got back and biceps. I was dragging ass in the gym today. One of the most tired I have ever been at the gym... I forgot my wallet this morning, so no caffeine for me. I sucked it up though and finished with a really good pump. I went really pretty light for me, and concentrated on my mind-muscle connection, and I noticed both muscle groups really felt it. I think I may start training a bit lighter more often.

I switched my routine up today, used mostly cables for the back and mostly dumbbells for the Biceps. Kinda opposites of last month... I think you'll understand when you check the new workout compared to my workout last month.

BACK
Lat Pull Downs - 120x15, 140x15, 160x15, 160x15

T-Bar Rows - 135x15x3sets

Close grip cable rows - 120x15, 140x15, 150x15

Lower Lat cable pulldowns - 50x15x3sets


BICEPS
Dumbbell Curls - 25x15, 30x15, 35x15... wicked vascularity today

Killer pump in both muscle groups even though I wasn't feeling energized at all. I hopefully will get some better sleep tonight.

I am noticing a BIG difference in the size of my arms when they are pumped up and not pumped. I think this is a sign of losing bodyfat, or maybe just progression with my body. I used to not notice much of a size change at all, I have had friends who's arms looked like they got blown up with a tank of compressed air when they do curls. Mine are starting to get that "pumped" look. STOKED!

I drink the vanilla and prefer it as well. It's just casein dude, that's how it tastes... But if Muscle Milk works for you then by all means do what works and you enjoy more.

I'm not going to start for awhile. Want to do a little more research, and I still need to order Nolva and I want to get the cycle down pat. Also want another month to come off AP and just go back to my regular routine that got me this far... Then go buckwild. I think August is appropriate.

It will be good to compare. We are similar size and height... Though I must admit you do lift more than I do in SEVERAL categories.

Well, I have probably been doing it a bit longer with more of an emphasis on bodybuilding than you. Plus you have a year in age on me, and even though everyone says "you get stronger with age...old man strength", I still feel the younger you start, the stronger you'll be. Look at Texas Lifter... that guy is like 18 and he'd make me look like a chump in the gym.

In reality, strength doesn't matter for ****. If you have a better mind/muscle connection with the lighter weight, you'll grow better with the lighter weight. My ego is all that gets in my way lol.

We have much different goals, it's kinda like how I know I can fight, but it wouldn't even be fair if we fought ya know... I'd wind up with a broken face unless I sucker-punched you.

It's gonna be a blast when you cruise out brotha, you gotta make it to my birthday shindig... it's gonna be crazy out here.

Load up the EZgrip bar.

Sit on a bench with an adjustable height... move it pretty high so you can get a range of motion. Keep your back straight... kinda like the lowest position in a squat...

Put the bar under your legs, and grip it in the middle, then shrug the hell out of it.

Dude I shrugged the hell out of it today. I did some standing barbell shrugs at 315 for 15 reps... My traps felt like I shrugged the hell out of them.

I had a great workout, I finally found someone to train with, we did shoulders together on Friday and his routine really switched it up on me and kicked my ass. I just need someone to push me in there, I am so much more motivated when I have someone to push me a bit.

I had a great amount of aggression Friday, and felt pretty strong. I set some personal records too. :woohoo:

Military Smith Press - 135x15, 185x12PR, 185x8, 205x4 (2 forced reps with spotter)PR!:twisted:

PUSHED over 200 over my head!!! I don't care if it was the smith press, I didn't think I could do it and I did!

Upright Rows - I used wrist wraps, which I never have before on this exercise... pretty sick pumps in my shoulders/traps.

Lateral dumbbell raises superset with bent over lateral raises.
15x20x3 sets

I put a plate on the hammerstrength military press and went to town for 2 burnout sets to 17 then 14... then I decided my shoulders were done ;) .

Back to my traps
Hammerstrength trap machine shrugs - 225x20, 315x12, 405x6
Did I mention my traps still hurt?!

It was a much needed kick in the ass workout. I started out with something I normally finish with and hit everything up pretty heavy when I have been laying back and hitting the higher reps. Definately feel and see a shock to my muscles... I can tell they are growing from that burn that is still in them. Stoked.

I am gonna be changing up my workouts more regularly. I think I am gonna throw in a switchup every 3 weeks from now on, in the middle of the month, so my 8 week programs will now turn to 10 if you get my drift, the fourth and eigth weeks will be completely different than my attack in the prior weeks. I will implement this starting NOW! :D

Those are some sick military numbers, brudda, Smith machine or not. I personally love pressing with that rack, though I never go for the high weight. Usually top off at 185 with fairly high reps. Now you've got me thinking about it, hmm....:think:

As for the change-ups in the routine, I think you know my stance on that! Mixing it up not only helps stilmulate growth, it helps keep your interest in the gym stimulated as well. Keep up the good work, homie!

Thanks bro, I surprised myself... that's what happens when you workout with a guy who can military 275 and bench 450. lol. This guy is a bouncer at a local casino, and man I would not want to mess with him... Great training partner though.

To be honest I am super jealous of your BB bench numbers. I can barely press 225 for 4 reps. I have a really bad sticking point that I need to work on... stupid tall body with long ass arms lol.
 
Hey Garrett... You mind telling me why you decided to go with Epistane instead of H-Drol for your bulk? I figure I have another month, so I want to weigh all my options. PCT any different? Which is the better bulker?

I've been doing a lot of reading, just want to hear your opinion as well, because I know you toiled over the decision as well.

Both are reputed for lean dry gains. Some people put on more weight using halo, others using epi. On average you can expect around 8lb. for each, but halo might possibly put a lb or two more on you. My personal experience: halo dried out my joints pretty bad, so if you're going that route you might want to consider adding cissus. Of course, I stacked with Mega Zol and TRN, so that probably played a part. Also, halo has the reputation of being more hepatoxic. On the other hand, I got shut down pretty hard from epi, where halo didn't do that to me.

Overall, both are good options.

Sometimes NP doesn't have everything you need... there are other places to look and find it. I don't think I have bought any Hdrol off NP actually.

I put up a poll in the Steroids section asking which people thought I should run first, Hdrol or Epistane. Epistane won, and that is how I made my decision. I am saving my first Hdrol run for after I have bulked up a bit, perhaps for a cut. I trust people's opinion when the majority gives the same advice. It really was a toss up, that is why I let others decide for me.

I also have spoken to an IBE rep in much more depth about the compound than I have with the CEL rep. I figure since it's my first time, I might as well run the compound that I have the most access to good info and support with. I am gonna run both eventually, so it was kinda just a coin toss if you will.

It also comes down to I would be running Hdrol for 6 weeks vs Epi for 4 weeks. I really like being "on" as I found out with M1D MMV2, but kinda want to feel out a shorter cycle for my first run. I really wouldn't have a worry between either or, they are pretty similar in results/sides. I have heard Epi is pretty good for aggression, which is one of my favorite parts of being "on". :aargh:

I get REALLY aggresive on epi. Halo, not so much.

Yea take cissus, especially cause you fight. You don't want dry joints.

BTW, don't kid yourself bud, Halodrol is active, it's a designer steroid, not a pro-hormone.

Definitely. Especially with halo. However, if you get the generic NP stuff, do yourself a favor and buy a capping kit. I thought I'd just be able to mix it in...no way. Definitely. Especially with halo. However, if you get the generic NP stuff, do yourself a favor and buy a capping kit. I thought I'd just be able to mix it in...no way. So I got chest and Biceps yesterday, Legs today. Both were great workouts, it's my 2nd half of the cut so I am mixing it up a bit, changes to the chest, working bi's instead of tri's out with my chest, and lower reps on my legs.

So here is another update, sorry my life has been so hectic you guys... I know I haven't been posting every day, but I HAVE posted every workout, be it a few days late or not... So here are my workouts for thurs and fri this week. I have switched up my week a bit, and I switched the places of my Bi's and Tri's in my week lineup. I got a great workout both days, super aggressive, good mood, lots of strength. It was a good way to end the week.

Thurs - Back, Tri's, 45 minute Run

Back
Pull Downs - 120x20, 140x15, 160x15, 180x12 *felt those lats blow up!
Tbar rows - 135x15, 180x12 ... a lady who only spoke spanish stole the tbar from me at this point while I was getting a drink of water... and I didn't feel like arguing or causing a scene... I do that enough lol.

So I got bent over BB rows. 2 sets of 135x15.

Close grip cable rows - 120x20, 140x15, 160x12

Low Lat cable pulldowns - 40x15, 45x15, 50x15. My back felt SWOLL after this workout.

Tri's

Skull Crusher super w/ close grip bench (incline) - 85x15 each, 105x15 each, 125x 8 each, drop set to 85x 12 each.

Bench Dips - 1 plate on lap x20, 2 plates on lap x20reps x2 sets

Cable tricep pressdowns superset with reverse grip - 80x15, 100x15, 120x12, reverse grip 80x15x3.

I went on a 45 minute run at the beach because I knew I wasn't gonna get cardio on friday

Military smith superset with BB shrugs

GREAT WORKOUTS... I finally feel like my strength is increasing from the AP, or maybe just naturally... I am feeling pretty thin, I don't think I will get to 6%BF on this cut, but I think 8-9% is totally obtainable... we should be able to see once I get my buddy to finally measure me again. I can't wait for Epistane.... ARGH!!!

Yea, I never did them before, but my buddy had me do them and it was a good change. I wouldn't say it is as effective as doing laterals with military, but it is refreshing to say the least. Definately helps with the aggression, I love heavy shrugs... :aargh:
 
So a buddy of mine, who isn't in great shape, asked me to work out with him on Sunday, so of course, I deviated from my routine and worked out with him. So, this week is gonna be set up a little different. I went kinda heavy with him, since he is actually a pretty decent spotter, he used to be in shape... now just kinda lazy, but doesn't slow my workout down, so he doesn't drive me nuts trying to teach him to lift right... he just drives me nuts watching him waste away into chubbiness. Whatever, he made the effort, and so I kicked his ass. :D

I also went to the gym he wanted to go to, the local 24 hour sport... I hate this gym, I think it is full of p*ssies and dweebs. But I can't deny the MASSES of hot women that flock to this place. The equipment is all brand new, but most of the weights are rubber or a different grip diameter than I am used to... and there is only 1 squat rack, and no military rack.... :aargh: I like my old school gym better.

SUNDAY CHEST & BICEPS

CHEST
Dumbbell press - 60x15, 80x12, 100x8, 100x5 ... decent numbers for me on a cut... I was feeling pretty strong.

I got a great pump and my chest still hurts on Monday afternoon... hit some deeper fibers than usual... I think it was those 100s on the dumbbells!

Sooooo... If any of you are still out there, I want to know if anyone still cares about my cut. I kinda feel like I am talking to myself again... well, the guy and timber are still with me, but other than you two bro's, I haven't heard from anyone for a while.

Therefore, please post if you would like me to finish the last 4 weeks that I was planning on. Because otherwise, I am going to be finishing this 8 weeks, and during these last two weeks, getting ready for my upcoming Epistane cycle. I am already cut past the point I have ever been before, but being cut at 180lbs is cool, but not my goals. I really want to be cut at 200lbs, and that is gonna take some bulking that cutting is just taking away from. I am gonna finish this one with my stats and final pictures, and an all around observation/critique of the supplements and my run.

So... off to start my new log!... I'll post a link soon!
