Why I'm Voting Democrat

And who is that? Please do tell oh wise one.
first, I love the sarcasm:woohoo:

I am referring to the rants between you and arrogant. Both pointing fingers, but not looking at your own "party" as being part of the dilemma.

Oh well, to each their own

Ah yes...us pointing fingers when we could follow your suggestions and solutions.

Oh wait, I can't find them.

you want a suggestion? here are some thoughts

honestly the bickering is all humor and silliness at this point. Repubs and dems alike are so busy acting like children that the issues at hand are never being addressed. We have a country in a rough state at the moment, economically, domestically and of course globally. Yet all I have seen from you personally is "soap box" of republican values, which have accomplished what recently? Last I checked, out current administration has done a wonderful job of spending money on a war that was ill fated from the beginning, and was against a target that had nothing to do with the enemy we had. Great solutions.

we want to look back at history, and for the life of me I cannot see any leadership that has been worth diddly in well over 50 years, and the 2 schmucks that are currently our choices offer us some of the same. Wonderful....it seems we will get no where fast, on the same path that W. has led us on the last 8 years, oh and did I forgot to tell you he is a republican.

additionally, there are no solutions, you have offered none, and neither have I. To be honest the obnly thing worth it would be to use Jefferson's logic of revolution every so often and start a new, however the big wigs of both parties would never give in to that as they are making too much money off of the common folk like us.

Oh wait, here is my solution, the common man needs to work together for the betterment of the country and stop electing beurocratic robots who are only into their own wallet, and yes the goldne boy named W is one of them.

Now I know why Obama will get elected.

your best and most succinct reply of the thread. I guess your party loyalty blinds you a bit. Oh well...... I hope that many of you bretheren stay home in November as I dont believe that "loyalty" is what our founding parents really wanted in the first place

And all I have seen from you is a "soap box" about everyone else. You have no substance. All you do is criticize what every else says without offering a shred of substance about any of these issues at all. I'm not the only one who has noticed it.

Plus even if someone told you that someone positive has happened in the last 8 years, you wouldn't believe or you would completely ignore it.

Of course you don't. You overall attitude is one of compelte and utter pessimism. I honestly think nothing could live up to your expectations.

additionally, there are no solutions,

Then please keep quiet and let those who do believe there are solutions hash it out. Take your peanut gallery and walk on down the road.

Wonderful. Now when you return the world of reality, let us know. We still have faith in you....

And your blind assumption about what people are and how they vote will always keep you in the dark.

If you want to discuss what our founding fathers wanted, we can do that as well because its obvious you don't have a clue.

Your posting history is very consistent. Criticize everyone else without coming close to discussing anything of substance.

if you care to classify it as soap box that is your perogative, however mine is at least my own thoughts and not the regurgitated nonsense of Reagan and the Bush boys. At least try to quote from success.

Plus even if someone told you that someone positive has happened in the last 8 years, you wouldn't believe or you would completely ignore it.
I would ask for proof, and not just propaganda from MSNBC or Foxnews.
However, around here that is all that is offered.

I dont know if I agree, but I do have high expectations, however many of our most recent leaders have been a major let down, and honestly to disagree shows lack of information in my book

Then please keep quiet and let those who do believe there are solutions hash it out. Take your peanut gallery and walk on down the road.

Actually I did offer a solution which I guess you did not like. I assume like many party biased folks you completely disregard those who's opinions vary from your own

Wonderful. Now when you return the world of reality, let us know. We still have faith in you....
ahh the welcoming of your sarcasm again. Seriously get a new hobby you are bad at this one!

by all means I would be happy to educate you on our founding parents, it seems you might need it.

in all honesty I have only seen a bit of other ramblings of yours and they are as well quite consistent. Critique anything not on the "right" and basically label them heretical in a political sense

Proof of what? You speak in such generalities it amazes me.

Let down in what? You speak in such large generalities that nobody even know WTF you are talking about? In what issue are you so let down?

Actually I did offer a solution which I guess you did not like. I assume like many party biased folks you completely disregard those who's opinions vary from your own

What solution? And to what problem? Seriously I've never seen someone post in such generalities.

Yes, sarcasm is a hobby. wow...

to make this quick, I would suggest that reading comprehension become more of a hobby. :toofunny:

that is all

Actually the majority of my posts in the past moth have been about economics but I guess you don't read those.

Label them "heretical"? wow.

Please Mr. History School Teacher, please educate me on our founding fathers because as I remember that job didn't serve you well last time we discussed this.

first off, History school? just curious what that was?

please refresh my memory as to our previous discussions where this has been a topci and I was not served well

Reap, that statement didn't even make any sense. You're still making empty accusations. If he were to regurgitate someone else's thoughts, who would Reaper rather hear it be?

If that's the way you feel, perhaps there is another forum out there that shares your viewpoints. So far, you haven't provided anything to change people's minds here...

I am not trying to change anyones minds, nor have I made that my clarified purpose here.

in terms of his soa box, if you have read his ramblings they are obviously all slanted in one direction, that was my point.

Actually I am a history teacher so lets look at the facts.

Thought that was you? But if not, feel free to teach me. I love when people try to teach me of the founding fathers...Please proceed.

Actually are you history teacher or do you work in the loan industry because it seems you work for both.

not really sure your point. I worked in mortgage servicing for many years prior to teaching. In fact, I ran an fc/bk department for a major bank in ny.

Also, looking at the first one, I might be missing what the issue is. SO please feel free to enlighten me.

Additionally, I am honored that you are so interested in my posts.

so I am to presume that you are here to change minds? what does that say about you?
:wtf:

No. See, I responded in this thread because I agree with the OP, you did the opposite. At that point, you have stated a stance because you want others to know you disagree. Unfortunately, you haven't really provided a reason for others to agree with you.

What does that say about me?? That makes no sense, the same as most of your posts. You may want to look into Reading Comprehension for yourself.

Its called memory.. so please Mr. Mortgage/History Teacher, enlighten me of the founding fathers.

At least then you would have some substance...please teach us all.

Again you miss a very glaring point. It is not my desire or express profession to make anyone agree or disagree with me. YOu must have me confused with someone else

by all means feel free to ask something specific. I am sure that it will have a right lean to it, but so be it.

Don't kid yourself, you've never had a glaring point.

You brought it up....so please expand on why you brought it up because it will be a joy picking this one apart.

Sheesh... Again? You've been missing everyone's glaring points, and you yourself have yet to make one.

I asked you a real simple question:

WHY ARE YOU POSTING IN THIS THREAD?

You brought it up....so please expand on why you brought it up because it will be a joy picking this one apart.
actually here is where reading comprehension might have come in handy for you. I made reference earlier on to the fact that it is this party loyalty that the founding parents would not have preferred. I was of course referencing Washington's speech as he exits the presidency (just an example). You then went into a bit of a hissy fit looking for something further. So there you have it

Sheesh... Again? You've been missing everyone's glaring points, and you yourself have yet to make one.

I asked you a real simple question:

WHY ARE YOU POSTING IN THIS THREAD?
Why? From my experience here most people are very staunchly on the "right", and since I lay in the middle I was looking for some lively debate, which I had at least for a while. Howevber, no offense, discussing this with you and sn has become more tedious than actual debate. However, looking back to your post #73 you never make that questionb clear. Just an fyi

And you purpose here?

WHY ARE YOU POSTING IN THIS THREAD?

To say sarcasm was my hobby, I need reading comprehensions skills (gee, my degrees say otherwise) and to say both parties are silly and we need to stop voting for bureaucrat politicians.

That was his glaring, revolutionary and innovative point. And it took him 3 pages to do it..and he still isn't done.

I am going to take the high road here and leave since those on the right want to have their time to shine here I will be more than happy to give it to them.
However, 1 final comment, sn was it truly necessary to make reference to your degress? was it a last ditch effort to be impressive? just curious, most internet monkeys who try to use their credentials look a bit foolish

Ah, yes..the reading comprehension insult again. Very constructive on your part.

Hissy fit? I asked you to enlighten me on the founding fathers. That's a hissy fit?

His speech? You mean the one he never gave but wrote?

If I remember correctly this was the same written speech that declared:

"Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. "

Not sure that fits with your libertarian viewpoints.

:bow28:

I love political discussions... I step out for awhile, and it good readin.

Hey Soup Nazi... we need a  smiley. :D

It was just as necessary as you questioning someone's reading comprehension. Generally if you obtain a degree(s), reading comprehension generally isn't a problem so I felt the need to mention it.

Howevber, no offense, discussing this with you and sn has become more tedious than actual debate. However, looking back to your post #73 you never make that questionb clear. Just an fyi
No offense taken, I agree it was tedious, but it was actually just as much if not more of a debate than what you were previously having, just maybe not the debate you wanted to have.

Back to post #73, that was your post, not mine. If you were referring to the question you quoted me on, it was rhetorical, repeating the question you asked of me (I thought that was obvious). I then went on to say that it made no sense (because it didn't apply to me in the context).
