Haha... I don't get cat people. :D
Damn, you don't like cats? Cats are great, they don't listen, but they're very smart loving animals, plus they don't smell bad. I love all animals though. I knew this redneck guy that had a pet groundhog, probably the coolest pet I've ever encountered.

I was looking through some pics of the stud. Looks like quite the character, very good looking dog. I have a feeling that once you see the litter you're going to be won over and leave with a pup soon after.

I take him out when I walk the neighborhood, otherwise he stays inside or in the fenced yard. He is a definite risk but the poor thing has been in and out of fosters half his life so I give him a good home and lots of love. Its normally my little one that gets attacked, not sure why b/c shes a female and its usually males attacking her but she tends to be dominant with other dogs so thats probably it. I am not sure what we'll do when we decide to have kids. We'll move out of the neighborhood and probably make him an outside dog at that point.

Dobies dont live long so when he kicks the bucket I want to get an american bulldog or a german sheppard.
I'm not entirely sure you understand canine psychology. It seems you have a victim mentality, whereas your dog is part of the issue - either that, or you are the most unfortunate person on the face of planet.

Obviously, if these attacks are often enough you have bought an ATP, your dog is involved. Now, do not construe this as your dog directly attacking another, but giving/feeding off negative energy, assuming dominance positions (that you did not recognize), and so on. I have never heard of one dog, or one individual, attacked so many times without provocation.

If your dog was a guard dog, he will more than likely assume aggressive positions/stances when out with you in public. The fact you did not, or cannot, recognize this and somebody else's pet was killed because of your ignorance is somewhat unfathomable. Provocation is obviously occurring, and you are not recognizing it - this is your fault.

Moral of the story:

Realize your dog does not fare well with other canines, and stop walking it where you may encounter them; hopefully, with this approach, we might avoid your Dirty Harry attitude and less dogs will be needlessly shot.

Cases like this make me glad purchasing a gun is harder than walking into Wal-Mart in Canada.

That would be sweet. Personally, ive always wanted a wombat.
Yes, wombat's are awesome. This groundhog was kind of like a mini-wombat, he would occasionally bumrush you with his head down. He always had a look on his face like "fvck off", but he was really nice and would sit on your lap as much as possible.

Have a good what?
That is a beautiful animal, damn. Mata leon means lion kill, the brazilians use it referring to a rear naked choke, which is used to kill big cats in the jungle.

My friend had one. Theyre pretty cool. They act more like a dog and they like water. There was a guy who had a pet bobcat and walked it on a leash who lived by the lakehouse I used to frequent. Just saw it from a distance though.

Had to pass on meeting the breeders this week and will have to schedule one next week sometime. Had a schedule conflict when my Passport application process went nuts. Apparently the birth certificate that got me a driver's license and entry into the US Army isn't enough to get a passport.

There is no difference between an APBT and a pit. If it's a pit bull, its an American Pit Bull Terrier.

i think ur trying to say many have a staff. and think it is a american pitull terrier.

EDIT: and a staff. pitbull is a pitbull..... the pit itself comes from a mix of breeds.. it is kinda ignorant to lump all pits into one category as "pitbull"

ya there is..do some research....and when i refer to a pitbull as a pitbull it is mostly a pit mix.. i wont know what mix he is untill he fully matures... i thought he was an american bully when he was a puppy, but a few weeks later i can tell he definatly is not.. his legs are two long

The burg (St. pete) and also frequent Jax area. Luckily my blue dobie has the blue dobie genetic disorder so he has like no hair, he doesnt over heat but sunburns.. lol

My sis in germany has a female shiba, that thing is a little terror - but my sis probably is a horrible trainer. It always brings back dead animals like a cat or something, i think its got a pretty strong prey drive. I like them though, very cool dogs. I looked at them but I needed something bigger.

Ah didn't realize you were so close. I keep meaning to do a VS demo at the tyrone VS, but it sucks to drive that far, almost 40 miles for me.

yeah, the japanese use them to hunt wild hogs, so they are ALL prey drive. little bundles of cat size killing machines. funny really. doubled canine teeth too, makes for good tug of wars.

Wow I didnt know that about their teeth. They do have lots of personality which is why I was considered them at one point.

I wonder if the Akitas have those teeth too

I think you need to do your research. An APBT is a pitbull, not a pit mix. And an APBT and an Amstaff are not the same breed, but they are similar. There is confusion when it comes to registering them because the AKC registers both pits and Amstaffs as "Amstaffs", and the UKC registers both pits and Amstaffs as "American Pitbull Terriers". What do you mean you wont know what mix he is until he matures? Does he not have papers? Did you not see the parents? And its "too long", not "two long". Here's some research for you.

You know it. Its just annoying when dumb guy #1 says something he just pulls out of his ass, and then dumb guy #2 agrees with it. They just feed off of each other's retardation. It's a never ending cycle, and a plague to forums everywhere.

dude.. this is what u said..

a apbt is an AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER... not a pitbull.. thats like saying all americans are mexican american. ur lumping one certain breed into one category.... and there is no pure breed pitbull!! they came up with the breed with two different dogs...

and there is no need for u to get defensive and start talking ****.. in person... OK... but not online.:FUfinger:

Goddamn you are dumb. So tell me what "two breeds" are mixed to make a pitbull. So long legs = pitbull and short and stubby legs = American Bully? Just shut up because you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

And if you are trying to be sarcastic about me being a "selective poster", you once again proved your stupidity. I've been here a year, and you have been here 2 months, yet our post count is almost the same. You probably thought June 2007 meant June 2008. It's OK, it happens.

Rednose, bluenose, razors edge, gotti, purple ribbon, short fat stubby "bully", long legged lean pitbull, whatever bro. A pitbull is an American Pitbull Terrier.

I don't know exactly what the deal is with the breeding of these stubby short legged unfit pits (or amstaff mastiff bulldog mix), but a pitbull is an american pitbull terrier.

Now if you were to rephrase your original statement as to not being sure whether it's an APBT or a pit bull to "i'm not sure if it's an Amstaff or a pitbull" or better yet "i'm not sure if it's a hippo pigbull or an APBT." And then had you not told someone who was simply trying to correct you to do their research then you would have been just fine.

I apologize for knocking the poor ill bred stubby "pits." It's not their fault they've been selectively bred to be something they aren't.

Exactly! APBT is a Pitbull.

And by calling them a 'mixed breed' (the guy in question) I think he is under the impression that Breeders are still forced to cross-breed every time to produce the Pitty.
