IS it true that whey shakes combined with milk increase the time to digest??

ON a ckd diet i thought your insulin is supposed to be higher does that mean GH is lower??
im confused because Ckd is supposed to increase gh levels but at the same time insulin is higher and I thought Gh secretion is higher when insulin is low??
If ckd does sitmulate GHs more then a carb diet, why is that? The book says it's something to do with the carb load period but im not getting it >< it doesn't get very detailed.

A CKD diet will minimize insulin since you are low carbing the majority of the week (and then taking advantage of the hormonal release after your depletion workout when you carb up).

Milk won't directly decrease whey proteins digestion time, but the digestion of the milk protein/casein itself will be slower than the whey. Whey and skim milk is a favorite pre and post workout staple of mine (depending on current goals/caloric intake) since it gives a nice diversity of protein types.

What he meant is your body is having to process both the whey and the milk simultaneously, hence slowing down how fast it can digest the whey since it has to multitask.
 
i think it was more of that he was just saying that milk contains casein protein which is a slow digesting protein. Mixing it with whey doesn't make the whey slow digesting protein. you just get the best of both worlds with mixing milk and whey protein.

Yea the milk really has no "direct" impact on the whey protein and its time to release of amino acids into circulation. It could be thought that when the casein forms a gel in your gut it could affect the time of digestion for whey, but from what I have seen they will still retain their individual digestion times rather consistently.
 
toss some peanut better in your shake! ;) haha

i personally like peanut better to help slow down things like carrots and simple carbs.
 
so wait though would whole milk or milk with fat or nething with fat, slow the digestion of whey? What about in a ckd diet where your body has adapted to a high fat intake and you've obtained that metabolic shift?
