Wrist pains...help...

Hello all, i took a 5week break about 2 months ago because i kept getting sick. Since then iv been lifting hard 4-5times a week and iv developed a bad wrist pain.

I do IT work for a living and this sometimes gives me slight wrist pain but never this bad. During the day it doesn't hurt but at night ill wake up it hurts so bad and then it hurts during the morning...

Im not sure why it hurts while im sleeping (maybe because my body is repairing the area *shrugs*)

anyways does anyone know what this is? suggestions of supplements that may help?

would cissus help?

...i forgot to add, my upper arm (other side of the forearm) is sore if i give myself a deep tissue massage in this area, it also seems to momentarily relieve the pain in my wrist.

Well thanks for any help.

this sounds more like lateral tennis elbow. for me - though cissus keeps inflamation down, i have found that serraflayzyme and wobenzym help with both inflamation and pain. ----> get's me through my wo.

hope this helps.

i had really aching pains in my wrist strecthing into my elbow last winter and especially when i got up in the morning some days. I started taping my wrists and still do and no pain to speak of.....( knock on wood)

I'm currently suffering a 3-week break from lifting because of tendonitis in my wrist - very painful. I'd go see a doc just to make sure everythings alright.

it sounds to me like your wrist are just sore from lifting hard because i have experienced this and your forearms are best explained like a shin splint but only in the forearm it takes time to get over thats all inflamatories will probably help ease it

i wrap only when i lift and if it hurts real bad i wrap at nite so i dont sleep on it wrong. Im real careful to not sleep on my wrsit if its bent because ill wake up and not be able to move it without extreme pain for a couple days.

just to clarify - i am usually always on cissus. but my forearms and wrist flair up from the tennis elbow i switch. everyone is different and cissus might do the trick. i have some exercises that always really helped it if ya' interested.

Simple test - raise your hands above your head. Keep them there and start counting. When they start to get tingly and go numb, stop and put them down again. If they do that within a minute or 2, I'm going to go with carpal tunnel syndrome. I've had it for years now and it kills at night sometimes. It's caused by repetitive actions, such as typing, or even stress due to pressure from lifting. I've got it different ways in both hands, and each one can hurt up to and past my elbows. The only "cure" is some surgery where they basically cut the end of a nerve off, but I've heard of too many people losing all of their grip for a long time afterwards.

Definitely check with the doc. It's in no way life threatening, but the pain can become quite unbearable. If nothing else, they may fit you with wrist braces to wear at night that have an aluminum strip in them to keep your hands cocked back in a "natural" position.

Good luck, but definitely get it looked at.

i had the same problem from doing curls or benching. i started taking calcium with added vitamin D got em at vitaminshoppe after 3 days the pain went away. btw i dont drink milk at all so maybe its ur bone hurting at ur wrist section. this helped me alot. no pain at all now.

ya i would be interested in exercises.

I just ordered Incarnate (beta alanine and cissus) so hopefully the cissus helps.

...and yes it starts tinggling before 2 minutes...

i drink alot of milk and take calcium sometimes, ill try to up my vit d and calcium intake.

what about water man? i try to learn alot of old traditonal chinese medicne. seems to give me some knowledge and treat myself. the chinese believed in water power man. seems to work too.

Some users have reported that SuperCissus RX helps out with their wrist pains. Could be worth a try.

Helped me with wrist pains. For awhile the pain was damn near tragic. No more problems whatsoever. The best part - I only take two pills a day at breakfast and never more.

six caps a day of msm and glucosamine worked for me. i had serious pains in my left wrist while curling. after a week and a half the pain subsided substantially

2 caps contains
gluco sulfate dipoassium chloride 670mg
gluco sulfate 500mg
MSM 500mg

ok - i have them on these sheets from a dr given to me. i'll get them scanned and pdf'ed and get them to you soon.

also - i used one of those straps on my forearm right below the elbow - and that helped a great great deal.
