HCG versus T Therapy

How is working for you??

Both Reservatrol and DHEA work best as a transdermal.

I am taking both orally and don't seem to get much from it..

Regarding the DHEA effectiveness, I should be able to tell you EXACTLY very soon - I am expecting some blood work back shortly (probably today or Monday) and I will post my old DHEA #'s while on an oral (which were low) and my recent results from using a transdermal (which hopefully are higher).

Doc just suggested supplementation, no particular brand. From reading the boards here I just think PP's Dermacrine got the best reviews. It also has other "goodies" like resveratrol. And, most important from the DHEA standpoint IMO, it's a transdermal. Orals didn't really move my DHEA numbers. Keep in mind some people here don't get excited about DHEA for a number of reasons. For us 50+ generation, I think it's fine.

After years of supplementation I decided to supplement only what my testing shows that I need.
I was spendig thousands of $$$'s on supplements and ended with major defficiencies.
Commonly given advices work for statistically average person, nobody is average. Everybody is unique.
At first I thought that I will follow my Quest blood testing, it does not work good.
I am using Genova Diagnostic test now.

JanSz,
That's actually a great point. I am going to bring up doing these test(s) to my doc when I see him next week. I too have been wandering the confusing supplement wasteland for several years now. My basement is full of bottles, powders and oils used then discarded for the next best thing. Looks like a chemistry lab experiment (not to mention all the $$$$ that have been spent).

I really do like Genova's NutraEval. How much did you say it cost? I live in Pennsylvania and have traditional BC/BS coverage and could have doc write a script if that would help coverage.

It is worth while to listen to that podcast, it convinces you about the logic.
At the end of test report there is two pages of recomended supplements.
Look at bottom two attachments in post #29

Doctor have to open account with Genova Diagnostics,
his secretary can do that in 5 min.
Hi will probably get some material from them first.
Most important, from my walet point of view,
is a chart that gives him instructions of what ICD-9 codes to use while prescribing different tests.
ICD-9 codes allows to get insurance reimbursment.
For some insurance companies, Genova is filling up paperwork themselves, so there is no additional work for your doctor or for the patient.
If you get hung up with your doc, you may want to call Genova and ask them for few names in your zip code area.

Kits are used for each test.
They are ordered via computer.
To send a sample out it is important to do it in timely maner or the sample will spoil and you have to start ower.
Best is to deliver sample in monday or tuesday.
Read instructions carefully.

I do not really know the price, my out of pocket is zero.
I had EstroEssence done, it cost (from memory) $350, my out of pocket about $25.

So the costs are minimal when covered by insurance.
I have Medicare and BC/BS.
