maybe the deadlifts, i'm already doing the leg presses. its just that pain in the tendon is limiting and bothering me. I could just to go with shallow squats I guess, or maybe really low weights, but controlled 6 second negatives?
 
have you ever just tried to hold a squat at with the thighs down at parallel? That's kind of a fun one. Or just kind of pulse up and down a few inches at that position.

You can get some challenging exercise with those, and maybe there's not so much of that peculiar pain you're talking about if you take a lot of the heavy weight out of the equation. Or does it it hurt no matter what weight you use?

my suggestions in order of priority
1) if you don't have the pain with these: do lower weight, higher rep squats, and continue to progress the weight with the higher rep scheme
2) switch the exercise to the deadlift, lunges, or more leg press
3) try the static/pulsing holds and see if that alleviates the weird pain you get with full range squats
 
true. I guess i'll try full squats with maybe 95 or even lower again for a bit, but higher reps, and do the leg presses maybe for the high weight low reps. I should be able to do 3 plates/side for 6
 
yeah, but I think the laugh you get from the end is worth 2 boring minutes

BTW...what are "diggs"?

you can "digg" a thread at the first post... dont know if thats only if they click that or if they use one of the search tools on your post... i would think its to show how well people like the threads you create... wish they would open an update thread with an explination of all the new tools and their uses when they do this, otgherwise i feel stupid when one day i find out all along i could have been doing something easier or using a kick ass feature i dint know about.

Why not leave the squats for the 2nd or 3rd exercise so you will get the muscle activation w/ lower weight?

i.e.

Leg Press 3 or 4*6
Lunges 2 or 3*10
Squats 1*20

only because he is going after guys she kissed, not necessarily long term relationships :) That was one of the super attractive things about my wife when I met her, she was only 19, and had just moved to tampa.
 
blended breakfast:
1cup uncooked egg beaters
2 whole, raw eggs
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 scoop chocolate whey
1 Tbsp hemp protein
11 grams fish oil

it's bearable
 
Wow BP, that sounds...terrible. With 11 grams of fish oil I'm surprised you can taste anything but that. Any particular reason you're going with this blended concoction?
 
oops, the fish oil didn't get blended

the main reason is that it's a time saver: I finished breakfast 20 minutes earlier than I used to if I had cooked everything and had to chew
 
11° F here.....and in the shop its a balmy 60° F.

Like my dad has always said, "IF YOU'RE COLD, ITS CUZ YOU'RE NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH!"

I on the other hand, firmly believe in the philosophy of working smarter, not harder. It was brought to my attention one day in a Dilbert comic strip. I haven't been the same since.
 
It was snowing when I drove to work this morning. Just a light dusting though, and current high today is 34. Not half bad when the wind isn't blowing.

GAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! :rasp: that sounds absolutely horrible! wouldnt be all that bad if you could take out al the fish oil and take it in either a shot or pill form..... is this all mixed in milk?

edit: nm i read through.... thank goodness man i nearly gagged just thinkin gof how it would taste.... even so dont you guys get absolutely horrible burps with that much fish oil? i take 2g's at once and all i can taste is fish and garlic(has garlic oil too), not very tastey.

mistake: the fish oil wasn't mixed, they were pills
the cup of egg beaters served as the liquid base
 
post workout was a lot tastier:

cold water
2 scoops chocolate whey
1 & 1/2 cup frozen blueberries and strawberries
1/2 Tbsp hemp protein
1/4 cup yogurt
2 raw eggs

the damn blending mug is not large enough for the size of my meals
 
lmao i dunno bout getting a "meat" shake, LOL.

although im dying right now cause i need more protien in my diet and dont have a forman grill anymore.... that takes away my ability to grill up a frozen chicken breast without thawing in about 5 min :(
 
interesting, but I understand too, other than maybe grains. I made some spectacular banana pancakes new years day
 
yeah, definitely I could probably get away with some fruits and other carbs. But if I start eating it along with meats and heavier food, I notice some significant gas and bloating. That tells me it's possible that the fruit is sitting in my stomach too long and probably fermenting.
 
yeah, cottage cheese is probably the heaviest thing I really eat fruit with. otherwise they are "loose", eaten as a snack. maybe eggs I guess, i've had a banana in oatmeal with a few eggs for breakfast. even that though, thinking about it was a bit bloaty

Get one of those. My girl got one, and I can cook a good size steak in about 5-7 minutes with it starting out frozen.

Clean up is easy too. The grills pop out, I scrub them with hot water and a sponge. Done.
